I was just at the grocery store. Probably 3/4s of the people I saw were not nearing masks. Most of those were making no effort to maintain six feet distance from others.

One man who was not wearing a mask got very close to me; I had to ask him to keep his distance. When he instead got even closer I had to point my cane towards him to keep him away. I couldn’t help but notice that he was wearing a shirt from a local fundamentalist church (I will not disclose the name of the church or the denomination).

Now, I know that wearing a church’s shirt doesn’t make one a Christian—not up to me to make that call—but assuming this guy was why wasn’t he obeying rules (signs at the store entrance say that masks are required). Why was he putting others at risk? Wearing a mask wouldn’t protect him, but it would prevent him from passing the virus on to others if he has it.

Is this what Jesus would want his followers to do? What would Jesus do?
It is wrong for Christians not to respect authority
Romans 13:1-2 says "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves."
GOD BLESS US ALL

Try reading what I wrote and the post to which I was responding. I never said that having a low infection rate was a problem. I said that the fact that we had a low rate may be why people are so quickly going out without masks. That is the problem.
I read it, obviously. If your rate is low, then you don't have a problem.

Read it again: if your rate is low, then you don't have a problem.

The objective of these measures is to keep the rate low. You've got the rate low. You don't have a problem.

Except I never said “if your rate is low you don’t have a problem.”

Stop making things up.

The short answer is NO. That would not make one a good steward.

Matthew 22:36-40 (KJV)
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Do you really think Jesus would wear a mask?
Do you really think Jesus wouldn't wear a mask if those in authority said to do so?

Mark 12:14-17 (KJV)
14 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

1 John 4:20 (KJV)
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
