No, it’s an attempt to focus on what’s important.

You keep talking about the whole story, but the whole story was what happened that day. Not two years ago, not two weeks, that day. It doesn’t matter if Floyd was the worst person on Earth, it doesn’t make what happened to him justified, and it doesn’t clear them of their wrongdoing. His criminal history is not a relevant fact, here, and bringing it up is, at best, an attempt to distract from the actual events of that day and cast some shadow off the people who were actually in the wrong.

Well, maybe you can apply for the job of prosecuting attorney so you can make that case in court. Tell them that there are no other facts that matter other than what we saw on that video. Tell them that it doesn't matter if Loyd violently resisted or whatever else he might have done that caused the cops to end up having to restrain him.

And once again (before you and others who can't keep using tunnel vision in your reasoning), I never said that killing the guy was justified.

It's interesting that Chauvin chose to use his knees to end Floyd's life...especially with this widespread knowledge of what kneeling has become synonymous with....

The cop used excessive force...that was way more than 'restraining.'

His job was not threatened. And his reputation wasn't either. Who cares if he thinks people taking a knee are disrespectful? Who is he, anyway? A footballer doesn't like people taking a knee....and? Did anyone ask him what he thinks of these people? If his job is to play football then he should focus on learning the plays, not sharing his opinions.
