Yeah that really does seem to be the conflict being produced on this thread. Salvation vs sanctification. You may want to take your comments to somewhere other than a Christian only forum. This is not the place.
I don't see a difference between salvation and sanctification and I know that there are many different ways that Christians speak of the crucifixion of Christ. I'm not content with all that has been spoken or accepted as popular agreement. God is greater. But it's natural for religion to always have their outcast. At least that is a tradition that Christianity has, which they inherited from the Israelites.

John 17:19
And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that they also may be sanctified in truth. In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. (of God’s family) for He says: “I will proclaim Your name to the Saints; I will sing Your praises in the assembly.”…

Hebrews 2:11
For the one who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. For this reason Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters,

Numbers 6:1-2
The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to the Israelites and say to them: When either men or women make a special vow, the vow of a nazirite, to separate (sanctify) themselves to the Lord,...
  1. For it is we who are the circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and boast in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh … pressing on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let those of us then who are mature be of the same mind; and if you think differently about anything, this too God will reveal to you. Only let us hold fast to what we have attained.
  2. The soul has to decide if it will yield itself to the spirit, but it won’t as long as it is ruled by the flesh. Colossians 2:18, Colossians 2:23

There is more freedom than just God's. Mankind does not want freedom but God wills it because he needs us to have freedom. Washing of blood means nothing and does nothing for me. What does it mean or is it just some legalistic law that you accept, which you think makes you righteous.

There are pros and cons to most ways to express truth. There are shadows to those images.

Back in 2002 I was finishing a training that would not be believed and yet it would be true. A training not from flesh and blood. A time in the wilderness. For 10 days I had to face Satan face to face as he pretended to be The Lord. He even called himself the word. His intent was to take me on a bad journey. It was a horrible time and I suffered many things and some I can not even utter. I played dumb and yet I learned much about him. He was allowed to do many things to me but not to kill me. He knew the bible back and forth and often tried to teach me pretending to be what he was not. He often spoke like a prophet which I know today would fool many. The point of sharing this true testimony with you is to let you know that there are two areas he never spoke about, The Cross and The Blood. So you see that these two are important. Since that time I have been under that shed Blood, that was shed at Calvary upon that Cross.
"Washing of blood means nothing and does nothing for me. What does it mean."

A simple prayer: Holy Father, forgive my sins, and wash me clean.
Cover me with The Blood that You shed at Calvary
upon that cross.
This I ask in Jesus Holy Name.
And they conquered by The Blood of The Lamb and the word of their testimony.

The blood is the covering. 1 John 1:7-9 says:
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin. If we say that we do not have sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

That’s why that those who indulge in prayerlessness are not accomplishing all they can that God has for them.

Hebrews 9:14
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to worship the living God!
For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance …

The only sense I can make of his shedding of blood is that he was serious. In the blood is the life. But modern people do not shed blood for Covenants. It's an ancient thing that humans did that was important to them. Humans have weird fetishes. This sacrificing of a person and shedding their blood can be seen in many cultures. Jesus Christ was condemned the moment he was born because this world is Darkness.

The blood has the DNA that makes us what we are. I wonder if that phrase washing of blood can be translated as baptism of blood. Martyrdom was a big thing in the early days. Shouldn't we shed our blood for him since he shed his blood for us? What good is the cross unless I'm crucified to it like he seems to say that I must? but who exactly is supposed to be crucified? Isn't it just the evil elements of this world and The root causes of evil in high places? Vertical and horizontal. T

More than he shedding his blood for us or we shedding our blood for him is it not that we as his body shed our blood for our father? For how long must I be so Outcast and far away from God that Jesus Christ is not allowed to hand over all things to the father? If God gave his son for us then doesn't that mean that we are his son for him? there is no difference between the seed that is sown that dies that many may come to be. People want me to remain outside of God. They're always coming up with Contraptions to keep me separated from him. The human race could not fully receive the revelation of Christianity.

Again the confusion is salvation and sanctification. Christ died at the cross from where our journey begins as Christians. The imagery is laying our burdens on Him there to receive the benefits that His finished work accomplished for mankind. Repentance in the acknowledgement of the need of a saviour for something we are incapable of doing for ourselves viz returning to the Father accomplished thru Jesus Christ for the remittance of our sin nature and to gain the incorruptible seed, which is the onetime Gift from the Father to gain eternal life, mortality to immortality. His blood covers us and gains us a position (from the cross to ascended life) to be acceptable at the throne to receive cleansing from accumulated sins.

So that is the repentance of Hebrews 6, not to be repeated because the Father has but one gift, eternal life. Oh but now we have come to the Kingdom of His Son. Are we going to treat Him like a common thing and insult the Holy Spirit Hebrews 10:29 by rejecting what He’s done (reject the inheritance like Esua did) and return like a dog to our own vomit (old nature) to mire in our own filth like a swine? Or are we going to learn of Him by respecting our covenant to Him and be yoked to Him, carrying our own cross by stopping what is of the old nature, picking up that which is of the new nature, and carry on following Him?

The covenant made with Abraham was God alone committing to it’s requirement just as Jesus shed His blood so we don’t have to other than symbolically. Just like Abraham symbolically sacrificed Isaac God has sacrificed so we can gain from sacrificing our flesh life to Him and in doing so save our souls from Him that can kill both.

But that’s a long story to give to someone who seems to lack understanding of the basics of salvation and will most likely trample on someone besides the Son of God who merely brings the message. But the thing to remember is that the blood IS the covenant. Matthew 26:28

After salvation comes sanctification that this thread is mainly about and what impairs (builds walls against) further movement with Him Ephesians 5:26, Hebrews 2:3

I don’t believe it’s for anyone’s good not to point out that neglecting the urgency of coming to a knowledge of His ways is what Christianity is. & Not about learning abstract gibberish that gains no one anything. I get tired of the nonsense myself.

Peace.

As I see ...

Taking captive every thought has been discussed on this forum lately but what has caught my attention today is those things that we have presumptuously set up against the knowledge of God.

That can be anything that blocks us from seeing the true character of the Father and sets in it’s place a false image, teachings that misrepresent His thoughts, actions or ways.

Hosea 4:1 Hear the word of the Lord, O people of Israel;
for the Lord has an indictment against the inhabitants of the land.
There is no faithfulness or loyalty,
and no knowledge of God in the land.

Acts of the Apostles 17:11
These Jews were more receptive than those in Thessalonica, for they welcomed the message very eagerly and examined the scriptures every day to see whether these things were so.

Breaking the outer shell of an unworthy vessel to become a worthy vessel that is suitable for use by God generally involves tearing down those strongholds that misrepresent Him.

Understanding knowledge is to stand under His teaching; under the pattern set through Christ to come to know Him. To know God is to receive knowledge from Him, and that involves revelation.

So I ask, do we know anything about the Father w/o it being revealed directly to the heart? What are some of the things that set themselves up against the knowledge of Him and then become strongholds that can be impenetrable for true knowledge ( revelation) to come in and change us? Do the strongholds prevent the revelation themselves or just acknowledgement of the truth contained? All questions I struggle with today.

.
We do not, which lays the burden of knowing on our Father, revealed in the process even down to a single thought, without shape or form.

What saves in the wilderness becomes an abomination in the land, it becomes something that cannot in our mind be broken, and comes in many depths of varying degrees.

I was told once not to build a city out of any one truth, or my journey inwards would end. This one truth itself has taken on so many forms that I have long ago lost track of them though they have never suffered decay, because of in whom my treasures lay.

I feel quite blessed that the one true God revealed in the bible has caused an understanding of the whole for which that which is not revealed within is not just outside of the current trend of churches, but rather disassociated with how He Himself contains the war by not giving credence to human understanding.

The wilderness experience is the justification (to come out of Egypt) and the salvation up to the promise. Sanctification is the enjoyment of the good land. (Christ is the good land) Building a city there only has spiritual significance if it’s of the old tribe old covenant Levitical priesthood. Cities of refuge IE: Tower that His people seek. Not the tower of David where priesthood is concerned as that is of the King where Christians are in a kingdom of priests.
That predates to Samuel’s time of the nazarite priesthood that replaced strange fire, Eli and the lost priesthood. God proved His sovereignty by the ark’s defeat of Dagon.

There’s another reference to blood
If we consider what we are to understand by the Blood of Jesus; why it is call'd the Blood of Sprinkling; and, what the Things are that it speaks; we shall see how much better Things it speaks than the Blood of Abel. ... —We have Redemption tho' his Blood, the Forgiveness of Sins. —1 John 1.7.

I don't remember if it was referenced in the Old Testament but the New Testament seems to reference The Book of Enoch 1 when it said what things Abel was saying. If I remember right Abel wanted Justice over being murdered.

But we could also go the way of trying to understand what Abels blood was crying out.

There is another view of these things that is narrower in relationship to our soul ... where even the things stated above are like what the brazen serpent becomes in the land.

I haven’t read the other books theologically too much and because God did contain Dagon that trust that He did contain the motherland of information in the bible is not much of a leap of faith. That’s an interesting question about understanding what Abel’s blood was crying out ... to which I have no answer cause I never thought about it before. That would be an interesting thread.

Just thought about it ... crying out for justice ... those under the altar ... how long?

Blessings in Christ Jesus! By these 3 in a row post, on the subject of The Blood, I can see plainly you have someone standing in your way. But because you came back and posted it shows me that you have courage. Perhaps it is time. The one standing in your way will do whatever is necessary to keep you away from hearing about The Blood. There is life in The Blood. Cassia explained it well. That simple prayer is powerful, and I know the one standing in your way will try to keep you from it. I am not like others, for I am one who has laid down my life, so that others may live. My desire is for you to be in Christ Jesus, not outside. I want you to have more than I have, even though I know I am not worthy to have even what I have. When dealing with one standing in one's way, I have found that faking to the left, and then going to the right works. In other words, out of no ware, taking no thought, pray the prayer. Kinda like basketball, instead of planing to drive to the hoop, fake left and go right to the hoop. It gives no time for the opponate to guard you. If you do drive to the hoop you will score. And so you may know, there is more wisdom in one Word from God(The Lord) than all the words of all the teachers of man. Have a Blessed nite!

I'm a Dodo for posting three times in a row. Yes, things are standing in my way but isn't that true for all of us? I'm standing in people's way too just as they stand in my way. Evil trying to ruin me is nothing new.

Long ago i had an evil spirit that pretended it was God too, for a few days. Was crazy when it's voice finally changed. One of his tactics was to pretend that he was greater than he actually was. To pretend that he was always manipulating me behind the scenes. It doesn't bother me now though.

Its interesting how the issue of blood always comes down to the soul.
Vampires need blood but I was disappointed because the sunlight hurts them. But I have read an Anne Rice book before. the vampire Lestat could endure the sunlight because he was a strong vampire, he even drank some of the vampire queens blood. It's the same for the Saints trying to endure God. I saw the Holy Spirit yesterday. I don't understand her appearance, only the light and the kindness and the familiarity. The childish simplicity. The uniqueness of the truth. I was relieved that all the world's homes were my home. It's good to be both great and to be little. It's beautiful that God would be little with us.
