I'm curious what the Orthodox Christian view of epistemology is. I've been struggling with the idea of epistemic certainty (i.e. is it possible? if so, how can we know for sure? if not, then can we really know God?) would love to hear y'alls thoughts on this!

(Btw, if you are not Eastern Orthodox Christian then I'd rather you not respond. I want to hear what the EO teaching is. Thank you!)

That's very strange :puzzled:

I can't see why that should show up as we do have people who are not Orthodox posting questions there as they wish to hear what our view is

Please try again The Ancient Way - Eastern Orthodox

IF that doesn't work then please click on the Support tab and ask for help from Staff

Well in spite of their negative theology, there are some categories/concepts that do not pertain to God since they clearly violate the Judeo-Christian concept of God. Not to mention dogmatic statement like the Nicene creed, writings against heresies, catechism writings etc. formal statements of Faith (like the writing against Lutheranism by that one medieval Patriarch) do form some positive theology.
