They know their heritage is generally from Africa. They know their people came from there, if that's what's important to them.
My own "people" came from Germany, Ireland and Bohemia. However, I still call myself an "American".

Looters hide in those crowds. If the peaceful protestors leave as soon as violence begins I doubt if it would continue. Therefore the 'peaceful' protestors are also culpable as they are 'enablers'.

The left-wing groups (Antifa) who are burning down hundreds of building across the country should certainly be labeled as terrorists. Why not? Individual white people and Middle-eastern people have been labeled as terrorists for destroying just one or two buildings. But groups of black people, and Antifa, can burn down hundreds of buildings and they're labeled only as "those who are frustrated and don't have a voice". They even get the privilege of the MSM making excuses for them.

What is this "track record" you speak of? It's often mentioned as an abstract idea that is not specific enough to address. If you're talking about history, we elected a black president and kept him in office for 2 terms. But that apparently isn't even good enough. Or maybe he was just that ineffective as a president. Or maybe those he was the president of just can't be satisfied.

Depends, did the motorist try to run people over? Or did they keep their car in park?

Not saying it is justified, but how the motorist acts can dictate how the crowd acts.
