The body is dead, but the spirit isn't.

(Old Testament | Ecclesiastes 12:7)

Breath---that is what spirit means. The breath of Jesus He commanded to His Father. It was the breath of God that gave Adam and Eve and every living thing life. I've given you all the scriptures for that, several times.

Not always. Just most of the time. It also means the inner workings of the mind, or, as when the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water, they thought at first it was a ghost. Context---the dead do not come back and walk in the Lord.

Yes ghost, and Jesus knew what His apostles were thinking:

39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Jesus' spirit also left His body when He died:

(New Testament | Mark 15:37)

37 And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

There is also the Holy Ghost:

12 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

The spirit is much more than just breath.

The Father did not take part in the humanity of Jesus. You are saying that false doctrine from the POV of JS who doesn't have any semblance of truth in what he says! The Father was never human, He had no Father or an endless line of grandfathers!! Jesus was with His Father before the incarnation--they were one, the separation came with the incarnation. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit from everlasting to everlasting. Again, to say that the Father was human and became God is to worship another God not the God of the bible and, again, stand in front of God an idolater worshiping a false god and breaking that commandment---break one---break them all. Jesus has a raised spiritual body, as we will have---not the Father nor Holy Spirit!

No, the words of Thomas were inspired by God. That makes them the word of God. Mormons, I guess, desire to delete some of the Bible. No, surprise! Mormons accept only the verses they can twist to align with Joseph Smith's lies.
