really heartbroken. just been told i cannot be used by God as am not "pure"

I dont want to whine or sounds like i am feeling sorry for myself but if am honest i suppose i am a bit

i am a sincere believer- not a good one, not yet a sin free one but i do have a prophetic calling on my life i am an empath, very spiritually sensitive. i dont count these htings as making me special- we al have gifts, we are all equally loved by God. this is just how God chose to endow me. I could have been gifted with hospitality or preaching or whatever.

I have neurlogical and psychiatric impairments. this is not a whinge because i actually believe my minsitry came about due to these- from these experiences i am able to relate to many people with simialr needs and care for them. so that isnt a tragedy or a probolem. God will heal me in His own good time. i feel no guilt in meantime for being unable to do much for God. i am in a season of rest, due to recent bereavement (6 months ago) and other issues. ok, i feel some guilt but that is the devi. the only valid guilt and shame in life are those that lead to repentence. otherwise it is just self pity and low self esteem, these are not Godly attribues.

what is an issue is that i have been told God cannot use someone liek me because i am not a pure vessel for His honour because i havet ese issues.... buti know God uses people whoa re blind or death, who have MS etc to bless other people.

so why not me? sickness is caused by living in a fallen world and by sin. so my issues are no differentf rom those experienced by Joni Erackson Tada, Jennifer Rees Larcombe (before her healing), Nick Vuljic?? if those people are used by God to bless others why can't i be?

last time i checked God did not have favourites. we are all close to His heart. there are no "special" people. at all. we are of equal worth.

so , i hav ebeen blessed by God so much, He is good to me, so why can He not use me to bless others?

where in the Bible does it say we need to be free of sin, demons or sickness to be used by God? surely God starts using us just as we are and we learn to sin less or be demonised less as we walk with Him???

didnt Jesus say blessed are the poor in spirit?

i left a more traditional church because it emphasised works over grace and said peopel can be lost for not being good enough. which is not Biblical. apostasy is a deliberate choice. we cannot lsoe salvation unless we choose to

Nonsense. If God can use a zealous murderer and antagonist of Christianity named Saul of Tarsus to bring his Gospel of Grace to the world he certainly can use anyone. God uses those who are willing, not those who are able. God has showed us that he uses the foolish to confound the wise he uses the weak to destroy the strong.
IMO those farthest from perfect often are what God thrives to lift up for his glory because those who are the least he makes the greatest and those who are the greatest (perfect) in his kingdom often are the least.

yes, that was th eimpressiion i was always under until now. that it didnt matetr that my issues are causd by sin or demons or whatever (most diseases are) God still accepted me regardless. to suddenly be cast back into that place of realising that actually maybe God doesnt accept me is terrifying

You're absolutely right. And because of your empathy and prophetic gift you are able to relate to many people with needs similar to yours and care for them. You have joy because you are saved and your heart is in the right place.

God can use anyone who is willing to be used by Him ...

Saint Ignatius of Loyola was a rather impure soldier. But he was used mightily by God. Saint Augustine of Hippo was not pure. He was a fornicator. But he was able to be used by God in the end. Paul was a murderer. But he was able to be used by God. David was not pure. He was an adulterer and a murderer. But he was able to be used by God. All four of these repented, turned their lives around, and then God was able to use them. God started a work in each of them and they responded. It's up to you to respond to God calling you out of impurity. Then maybe you will have a job to do in service to God. Maybe a big one, or maybe a tiny one. Don't demand a big one but be content that there will be some service you will be able to do when you are pure in heart. Focus on the pure heart. That is the necessary thing. And focus on cooperating with the one who can purify your heart - Jesus alone.

Herein lies the problem in that people just do not understand the cross, to be accepted by God we MUST accept what he did for US on the cross. Jesus died so we could be perfect, but it is only in and through him that we are perfect not of ourselves anyone that thinks we must approach God at our best is rejecting God's best, they simply do not understand the cross.
Salvation is not about our perfection but about God's perfection (Jesus).

Why are you getting your spiritual believes from someone on the internet who has no idea who you are? As others have stated, God uses the imperfect to greater effect---it shows His perfection. Never mind what anyone thinks, this is between you and God. Listen to and do as He says. Get your instruction from the word of God not some "wingding" on the internet!

I have a lot in common with you I am schizophrenic I see and hear things other's don't. Don't you believe them God will use you no matter what state your in. Look to Him, He will guide you every step.

If an angel told me that, the angel is telling every believer that. Be encouraged trust Him and His plan no matter what. God will make a way. He will move mountains to accomplish His will for your life.

If God can speak through a donkey he can speak through you or use you for his own glory. Heck God has even used evil people completely hostile to Him like Pharaoh of the Exodus, Haman, the Assyrians etc. for his own purposes. If that is true, then how much for someone who genuinely seeks after Him?

See, i had a similar encounter but wasn;t an angel but Jesus Himself but am told God doesnt speak today and not to people like me. it breaks my heart because Gods charcter is to give His gifts to al who ask for them?

God is still large and in charge. He can do anything He wants to. Some people in acts had to have hands laid on them to receive Holy Spirit. I have seen Jesus 3 times in a dream. I have no idea what doctrine that might be opposed to.
