• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I have recently been diagnosed with bpd following another trauma in my life and if i am honest i'm struggling to go on. It feels like a life sentence. Feeling hopeless and fearful evey day and then crumbling when things break down.

Why has god made me so broken? My faith is struggling with this

God didn't do this. Sin did. God allows humans free will and sin caused the genetic, environmental...........problems that have brought this on you. God wants to pick you up and carry and coddle and help in anyway He can (without breaking any of His laws for Creation, that is).
People with BPD do much, much better with treatment for a period, and then they can have a satisfying/fulfilling life. Give to His Creation. Help in small or big ways anyone you can. Follow what Christ taught to do. His commandments and caring/sharing/giving to others as much as you can. Do accept help (He may have put it there for you). Then follow Him very closely.

Yes, I do understand also (my grandson got this diagnosis). It's amazingly hard! CF is here for you.:prayer:

Hi Charlie,
You may not known or feel, that the Lord suffers with you. Your pains He also endured with you. He bears daily with you. Does He not feel broken too, that you have not believe what He has done for you?

For He has given His life for your sins, yet, you have not repented daily and seek His mercy that you may have hope.

Are you willing to draw near Him first to know how He love you through suffering and pains?

What have you prayed or talk to Him to get help ?
