Do the Seven Angels relate to the Seven Churches (Vision of St. John the Divine)?

Looking at the Book of Revelations trying to understand any ties between the churches described and the horsemen of such visioned apocalypse. I'll be sure to see if the reading you stated above can also help me relate anything to what may be unstable in my subconscious thoughts. Thanks a ton. :)

Hmm. I think I wasn't realizing this while looking these others over. After reading about the seven churches I was wondering if there were certain angels looking over each church respectively. I'm sure the seven spirits you mention are also of the same divine spirit within each church.

Great to look over as well while trying to figure all this out!

Do the seven churches described in the Book of Revelations follow any sort of relation or anythings with the seven angels? If so can someone help me figure out how to learn the expressions or faith desired of each one?

The "angels" of the seven churches are the bishops of each church. The term angel means messenger.

The Churches are addressed in order according to a circuit a messenger would travel to reach each one. From the isle of Patmos one would travel by ship to the port at Ephesus. From there the messenger would travel city to city to deliver the message to each church, ending in Laodicea. If the messenger were to travel in the opposite direction Laodicea would be first.

The 7 churches are 7 church ages -- with the final one representing the final church age that is on Earth at the time of the 2nd coming.

The 7 trumpets are 7 phases of God's ruling over events on the Earth - and in the 6th and 7th trumpet you have this
Rev 9:13 - the 6th trumpet appears to be the great tribulation just before - the 2nd coming.
Rev 11:15 is the 7th trumpet and appears to be the the second coming using he same language for the second coming that is found in Daniel 7,... and may also include the new Earth

After reading about the seven churches I was wondering if there were certain angels looking over each church respectively.

That may be the case. The "seven angels" of Revelation 1:20 are clearly linked to the "seven churches": As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

These are not the same as the "seven angels" with "seven trumpets" of Revelation 8:2: Then I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

Nor are they the same as the "seven angels" with "seven plagues" in Revelation 15:1: Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and amazing, seven angels with seven plagues, which are the last, for with them the wrath of God is finished.

Be aware, also, that the Greek word angelos can mean either "angel" or "messenger." Many people think that the "seven angels" or "seven messengers" in Revelation 1:20 are the pastors of the "seven churches" (it would make sense for them to receive the message from Jesus, and to pass it on to their church members).

I think this is the most likely explanation. It wouldn't make much sense to write to a literal angel, but rather to write to the bishop where it would then be read.

The Revelation is an encyclical letter, a letter that was to be circulated, and is addressed to seven real churches during the reign of either Domitian or Trajan (traditionally Domitian, with some believing possibly during Trajan's reign).

I agree.

I've often thought about Polycarp, the angelos of the church in Smyrna, reading out those verses from Revelation 2:8-11.

I'm sure that those words "Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life" helped him to do exactly that.
