Who has He spoken to and what has he said. Can you can give specific examples
There are all sorts of testimonies of God speaking to average laypersons. I can testify to God speaking to me very clearly on occasion. In fact that's how I got saved in the first place. God spoke to me. I'll give the testimony if you want to hear it. (and others if you want more)

God doesn't play by our rules. He speaks when he wants and through whom he chooses. He even chose a donkey once to speak to Balaam. Who are we to claim what is more or less "authoritative"?

God does in fact speak to people, I know that for a fact.

The KJV's English is difficult for many users of current English.
That is really my chief concern. The language is so archaic, but beautiful in some cases.
And modern translations have much more in terms of thousands of additional (and older) manuscripts to work from, plus superior translation abilities and expertise to bring.

I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

Yes, the Apostle Paul received a private revelation from Jesus Christ. He wrote the important parts down for us.

Perhaps you can explain that to @Radagast - lol
He is welcome to believe what he likes, I do not try to force anyone to change to my beliefs, I try to help people not critize them. If and when God speaks to him he will not doubt it.

I have no doubt that private revelation exists.

And if you bring somebody back from the dead in front of me, I will be quite happy to accept that you have received genuine revelations from God.

But other people are fully entitled to doubt any private revelation that comes to me.

Yes, the Apostle Paul received a private revelation from Jesus Christ. He wrote the important parts down for us.
But you have declared his testimony to be untrue, since he alone testified to it.

And they will, even people who have known you for years will look at you with doubt about your sanity.

1. Other people (like Luke) supported Paul's testimony

2. Paul performed miracles which supported his testimony

3. His writings have been endorsed by the Church as the word of God.

That is a conflicting statement.
If you have no doubt, why would you need a miracle to prove it? - lol

Did all the Apostles raise people from the dead? And all in succession since? Did any of them receive "genuine revelations from God"? If not, do you withhold acceptance?

Any private revelations I received would stay quite secret; I would confirm any information via other means, and make those public.

I don't doubt private revelation in general; I doubt specific examples.

Just like I don't doubt that people find gold nuggets; but if anyone specific says they found one, I want photographic proof.

Did all the Apostle raise people from the dead?

Peter did. Paul healed people and cast out demons.

The reason that the Apostles performed genuine signs and wonders was to conform what they said.

Paul healed a dead man after the man fell out a window while Paul was preaching

You are inflating God speaking to us as "private revelations".
The most common thing for God to say to me is, "Talk to that person."
It's what happens next that is significant, not the message itself.
And I don't tell them that God told me to speak to them.
I will respond to God by asking, "What should I say?"
To which I get no answer. Then I just need to be obedient and the right words come.
He has prepared me ahead of time and the words are given in the moment.

Matthew 10:18-20
On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. 19 But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, 20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all ye are brethren.
(Matthew 23:8, ASV)

These things have I spoken unto you, while yet abiding with you. But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.
(John 14:25-26, ASV)

And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.
(1 John 2:27, ASV)
