I believe in the Bible, we are only required to pay back money unjustly gained if we have the money to give. maybe Hinn spent it all? it is not possible for every believer who has stolen to make restitution in terms of money if the money is no longer there. maybe his confession and apology is his way of restituting?
Wow. I certainly hope it is genuine. Praise God if it is; woe to Hinn if it isn't.In case you have not heard or seen this, Benny Hinn has confessed and repented and rebuked the "Properity Gospel...……..
Do you think he is being honest or did he get saved??????
What he said is what a lot of preachers have been saying for a long time.
2 Peter 2:3 ...
'And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you.'
What is the prosperity gospel? Exactly what it says, it teaches that you NEED prosperity in your material life. It doesn't preach that you need prosperity in your 'spiritual' life, which the Bible teaches, but in your material worldly life. All they are preaching is IDOLATRY, elevating wealth and possessions above God, and elevating created things above the CREATOR. This is 'another' gospel which Paul warned about ... Galatians 1:6 ...
'I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.'
1 Timothy 6:5-8 ...…"
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.'
These preachers of the prosperity gospel are certainly perverting the true gospel of Christ Jesus. But Paul says there isn't another gospel, but only one true gospel of Jesus.
Thoughts????????
That would be a wonderful thought, but in reality, what do we say to the elderly people who believing what he preached gave the last dollar they had thinking they would be blessed from something he asked God to do for them?
Do we tell them......Lesson learned is a lesson to remember.
Maybe....just maybe, if there was a legal way to make him and all the other "Prosperity Theology" preachers pay back what was given to them, it would put an end to this kind of nonsense.
Then again, nope. Barnum Bailey correctly said of the foolish...…...

They could start a new ministry and rob Peter to pay Paul.yes- maybe they could institutue a re-payment plan for the prosperity preachers to pay back the money in installments? that would be ideal. i dont know whow that could be enforced though? these guys are not accointable to anyone?
Anyone have any actual information?
If we all pray that our Father in Heaven grasps his (Copelands) heart and wrings out the filth, he might repent. However, will his congregation as well? He would be nowhere if people did not follow and fill his wallets with earthly money.Do you think Kenneth Copeland will repent one day?
When Zacchaeus repented he returned the money.
