I think most Christians, Mormon or not believe the same things.

Particularly Christians who are quite financially successful who believe it the most. It's a stab at self-justification. The New Covenant does not observe the same thing anymore.


What do you base your thought on? Mormons and Christians most assuredly do not believe the same things.

Mormonism is not a loving religion because all their blessings must be earned! That is a heart-breaking denial of God's mercy!

The Bible is full of examples of what happens to the disobedient vs the obedient. That being said, God does give us much more than we deserve, especially those who repent of their sins and change their ways:

I know this to be true:

(Doctrine and Covenants | Section 130:20 - 21)

20 There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated—
21 And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.

The Bible states this and it is correct:

God judges our works by what? He judges by how well we keep His laws. Evil works comes by disobedience to His laws of LOVE. His commandments are LOVE.

The ONLY blessings a Mormon thinks he will receive is based on what he deserves.

You musy obey the law upon which the blessing can be deserved.

So please stop contradicting yourself.
I am NOT contradicting myself. One of the laws we are given is that we MUST repent and be baptized. That is a law decreed in heaven. By this law our sins are forgiven and we are washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. It is more than we deserve. Those who do not repent will have to suffer.

You have this one concept ingrained in your whole being. It is true, God wants us to do as he has commanded. But great mercy is given even to the sinners who do not do those things.

If you had to earn everything from God before he gave you any mercy, you and I would be deaf, dumb, blind, and sitting in poverty all day and night, not knowing anything.

God is merciful, for it rains for the just and the unjust the same. However, there is a higher level of commitment that you know nothing of, or you refuse to enter into, which allows Jesus to give more grace, on a higher level.

While we were still dead in our sins we were given new life by Christ. Mormons teach the opposite!

Ephesians 4
32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

He has already forgiven Christians --- Eph.2: 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved)

God judges our works by what? He judges by how well we keep His laws. Evil works comes by disobedience to His laws of LOVE. His commandments are LOVE.

Mormon commandments don't teach that Christ saves us so that we are capable of good works.

I believe that the first thing we have to keep in mind in doing “all we can” is to repent of our sins.

We are enabled ro repent and to follow Christ when the Father brings us to Christ.

You try to twist the Bible to conform with your false teachings. Until God saves a person, not of works, he doesn't belong to Christ and can't serve God. And that unsaved person will ignore the truth.

Mormons can't receive more than they deserve!

We are not saved by obedience to laws. We are not saved by works. We are not saved by works plus faith. John Chapter Three! Ephesians Chaper Two. Romans Chapters One - Sixteen. etc. We are saved by Jesus Christ! To God, not man, be the glory!

Your god demands obedience to what your religion calls celestial laws or you cannot have eternal life.

You try to twist the Bible to conform with your false teachings. Until God saves a person, not of works, he doesn't belong to Christ and can't serve God. And that unsaved person will ignore the truth.
What you say is wrong:

22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 ¶ No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

D&C 130:20-21 states: There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated--
And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated.

D&C 130:20–21. What Is the Law on Which All Blessings from God Depend?

Obedience is the basic law of heaven, and obedience to specific laws will result in specific blessings, culminating in the greatest blessing, as Elder Marion G. Romney explained: “The perfection upon which exaltation hangs, I repeat, is an individual matter. It is conditioned upon the observance of celestial laws as they apply to earth life. The Word of Wisdom is one of them, so also are chastity, tithing, observance of the Sabbath day, prayer, honesty, industry, love of God and fellow men, patience, kindness, charity, and all the rest of the principles and ordinances of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each individual who observes one or more of these laws shall receive the blessings predicated thereon, and each Church member who will, with all the energy of his soul, diligently strive to live them all, shall receive the blessings predicated upon such striving. Eternal life, the greatest gift of God, is that blessing, and it will follow the living of the gospel as the night the day, regardless of statistics or averages, or of what others think or say or do.” (In Conference Report, Oct. 1956, pp. 15–16; see also Enrichment G in the Appendix.)

The Bible teaches that:
We are not saved by obedience to laws. We are not saved by works. We are not saved by works plus faith. John Chapter Three! Ephesians Chaper Two. Romans Chapters One - Sixteen. etc. We are saved by Jesus Christ! To God, not man, be the glory!
We are NOT saved by works, neither are we saved without them:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

Your god demands obedience to what your religion calls celestial laws or you cannot have eternal life.

"One thing is for certain: earning the Lord’s trust is a blessing that comes through great effort on our part. Trust is a blessing based on obedience to God’s laws. Earning the Lord’s trust comes as a result of being true to the covenants we have made in the waters of baptism and in the holy temple. When we keep our promises to the Lord, His trust in us grows."

10 I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.

You just do not understand heaven, or mercy. Every single soul that has ever been born on earth

But then heaven is divided into at least 3 levels. Those who follow Jesus and do as he says will find themselves in the highest level and will eventually be like God and Jesus are now. They will receive of the fullness of God.

Those who do not follow what Jesus said to do, but are still good people will find themselves in a wonderful environment, and Jesus will visit them from time to time, but they will not receive of the fullness of God. So even though these people are not doing what Jesus asked them to do, he is showing great mercy and giving them an incredible life for eternity.

Then for those people who totally rejected Jesus, and would only finally bend their knees in protest at the very end, these people feel the full weight of his mercy and will be in heaven but the lowest level. Even this lowest level of heaven is unbelievable in its beauty and they will have the visitation of the Holy Spirit, but not God and not Jesus throughout the eternities.

The final group of people are those that knew Jesus, and rejected him and spit on him and refuse to acknowledge his sovereign power, and denied the Holy Spirit, who testifies that Jesus is the Christ and the Savior of the world, which they spit on.
These people will be the devils children and be cast into outer darkness with satan and his followers. It will not be actually dark, but God or Jesus or the Holy Spirit will not be there ever, and their light will never shine in this place.

So only those in outer darkness do not feel the love and mercy of God and Jesus. And that will be only a few people that lived on earth. All the rest will feel the love and mercy of a just God as they take their chosen places for eternity.

How often will Jesus take our sins and give us his righteousness?

As often as we come to him and repent of our sins in humility and try to sin no more. There is no automatic forgiveness. We must come to him on our knees and then he will forgive. Then he will replace our sin with his righteousness.
