Was the Sabbath given to man at creation as a special day to worship God?

Did Adam and Eve keep each seventh-day Sabbath?

Im not anti Sabbath.

stop trying to change the subject.

Let me know when you have found where the Church is to observe the Sabbath as required by the law of Moses.

Please show where the New Testament requirements are for
“Keeping the Sabbath”?

Until then I’ll be waiting.

JLB

They have already been posted in post # 586 linked. I have not changed any subject we are still talking the same subject matter the Sabbath remember. Can you show me the scipture that says Gods 4th commandment is abolished now and it is not a requirement under God's 10 commandments?

The subject is about love.

Nonsense.

I never mentioned fasting.

Paul did.

The Church is not required to keep special days, which includes sabbaths, feast days, new moons.

PASSOVER

“And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to YHWH throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance FOREVER.” (Exodus 12:14)

UNLEAVENED BREAD

“And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance FOREVER.” (Exodus 12:17)

BIKKURIM (Feast of First Fruits)

You shall eat neither bread nor parched grain nor fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your God; it shall be a statute FOREVER throughout your generations in all your dwellings (Leviticus 23:14)

SHAVUOT (Feast of Weeks)

“And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute FOREVER in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” (Leviticus 23:21)

YOM TERUAH (Feast of Trumpets)

The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and these shall be to you as an ordinance FOREVER throughout your generations. (Numbers 10:8)

YOM KIPPUR

Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute FOREVER throughout your generations in all your dwellings. (Leviticus 23:31)

FEAST OF TABERNACLES (Booths / Sukkot)

And ye shall keep it a feast unto YHWH seven days in the year. It shall be a statute FOREVER in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.(Leviticus 23:41)

The Church is not required to abstain from eating pork or shrimp or lobster.

(CLV) Ex 12:49
One law shall there be for both the native and for the sojourner sojourning in your midst.

The Church is not required to become physically circumcised.

(CLV) Ro 2:25
For circumcision, indeed, is benefiting if you should be putting law into practice, yet if you should be a transgressor of law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

All these requirements were found in the law of Moses which has been abolished.

Thanks Bro; but I'll just stick with what messiah says:

(CLV) Lk 16:17
Yet it is easier for heaven and earth to pass by than for one serif of the law to fall.

Two different letters that teach the same doctrine.

Nonsense.

Please show us the scripture that the Church is required to become physically circumcised and keep the law of Moses.

That passage has nothing to do with circumcision.

Why change the subject?

I have never said the commandments of taking His name in vain, or lying, or stealing or adultery or sorcery or homosexuality or fornication, or idolatry or dishonoring your father or mother, or inappropriate behavior with animals, or drinking blood or hating and the like are not sins.

I have asked where in the New Testament are we instructed to keep the Sabbath as the law of Moses required?

Still have not gotten an answer yet.

JLB

Stop deflecting. He is asking you WHERE in the NT does it say taking The Name in vain? You are practicing deletion through absence theology...

So what’s the significance of the Sabbath?

Exodus 31
12 YAHWEH said to Moshe, 13 Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘You are to observe my Shabbats; for this is a sign between me and you through all your generations; so that you will know that I am YAHWEH, who sets you apart for me. 17 It is a sign between me and the people of Isra’el forever; for in six days ADONAI made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and rested.’

That passage has nothing to do with circumcision.

Why change the subject?

Because keeping the law of Moses is required first before anything else.

You understand that right?

For an outsider, a gentile to ever keep the Passover, they must first become physically circumcised.

It would be useless for a Gentile to keep the Sabbath while being “uncircumcised”.

But you know that already.

Here is how the children of Israel were instructed to observe the Sabbath under the law of Moses.

Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’ ” So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it. Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field. Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none.”
Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. And the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws? See! For the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” So the people rested on the seventh day. Exodus 16:23-30

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exodus 31:12-15

Then Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said to them, “These are the words which the Lord has commanded you to do: Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. You shall kindle no fire throughout your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”Exodus 35:1-3

Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died. Numbers 15:32-36

And on the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, with its drink offering— this is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering. Numbers 28:9-10

Which of these is the Church required to observe?

So you are saying physical circumcision is not required under the New Covenant?

Why?

Was it required of Abraham?

It's like Baptism. It's an outward sign of what has taken place within. If the inward change hasn't happened; it means nothing.

Did Paul actually keep Torah or did he fake it? "Let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth” . 1 Corinthians 5:8

That’s what I thought.

You can’t answer a simple question because you don’t know the law.

This is what the law required concerning the Sabbath.

Do you follow these requirements of the law of Moses?

Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’ ” So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it. So JBL, you seem very anti Sabbath? Can you show me the scipture that says Gods 4th commandment is abolished now and it is not a requirement under God's 10 commandments?
Can you show us Jesus playing basketball?
If we are under the law, the Sabbath commandment is a sign of that covenant. If there is a New Covenant, the Sabbath commandment is no longer required. The proof you're asking for is unreasonable at best. Can you show me in the OT scriptures where they ate bread and drank wine as communion? My point is this: It's easy to make an unreasonable request.
Are we anti Sabbath? The scripture makes it clear that we must respect what others are persuaded of towards God.

Rom 14:5 ¶One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Rom 14:6
He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
