What a healing took place when Jesus took a mudpack and applied it to the man's eyes! He could have just spoken the word and the man would have been healed,but he wanted the man to exercise his faith. 'Have faith in God for the answer,have faith in God!'

I hope you don't mind the intrusion, but something most people miss about this miracle is that the man was not simply blind, but was born without eyes. This is why people had so much difficulty believing that he was the same man they had seen begging for so many years.
The other important fact in this miracle is that Jesus was making him eyes out of the clay in much the same way as He formed Adam from the same. It was a powerful testimony that He was in fact God.
