Not sure why but recently, when I wake up...first thing that come to mind is the realization of being 31. Wasn't it just yesterday when I took a trip to Europe,
was out n' about, with out a care in the world?
No....I keep thinking I'll wake up 24 again.
How marriage and children completely change the dynamics of the life you live.

Anyone else going through this?
Feels great to know I'm not alone in this. ;)
Tell me your experience of being 30 something.

At least you have those experiences to look back on. I'm in my 30s wondering how did I waste my 20s sitting at home watching anime and playing video games.

30s have been a time of gradually settling down for me: getting married, getting theology straight, getting away from things that stressed me out in my twenties, realizing what I'm capable and not capable of, putting away youthful naivete and idealism, and finally getting things in more perspective.

Also hope to finally have first child next year (COVID-19 has to stop eventually, right)?

Also, despite the stereotype of Millennials, I'm actually debt-free. Then again, I'm an older Millennial (35). My biggest thing is I never did find a stable job (worked my last, and likely final, one last year) -- but then again, I'm a woman, and historically our place has been the home, sooooo...I'll probably just do the SAHM thing once I (hopefully) have a child with the beloved next year. In the meantime, I can use the extra time volunteering at an animal shelter.

I think this gets overstated too. Those of us who have debt usually have massive debt. But a lot of us have no debt at all... and perhaps as a result, we don't have lots of other things either.

The debt thing mostly gets thrown around by Boomers who don't understand nuance and also don't understand where the great majority of that debt is coming from.

Rather fast. 40 is Rather close now. 2020 has been rough for sure. Lots of loss with loved ones in the last 10 years for sure. One being my mother. But I know she is living a better life now and I am greatful

@revybub, wow that post of mine you quoted was 7 years ago!!!?? Time flies my friend.

Loss and grief as well here. So much stuff compressed into one year makes life even more complicated than usual.
Good to hear from you.

Pretty good so far. I feel more like my twenties than I did when I was actually in my twenties. I'm happier and more grounded than I have ever been. I love my work, have new hobbies, enjoy my church, and feel cautiously hopeful for the future.

Well, so far my thirties have been interesting indeed. I entered 2020 finding out I had thyroid cancer and ended up with surgery and thank goodness they were able to remove it. Now, life is mostly about taking this pill for the rest of my life along with monthly blood Analysis and that fear of it coming back. I shall be grateful and thankful regardless

My 30s have really shocked me. I turned 30 in October and I am shocked at how different I feel and think about things. I am wiser than I was in my 20s, especially since I came back to God and started reading the Holy Bible and applying it to my life.

I wish I were more mature. I feel like I'm not where I should be maturity wise.
