She's got a great soprano voice, so I prefer her more classical arrangements. I particularly like her version of Lascia Ch'io Pianga.

Tonight I am thinking about the time when Jesus was presented in the temple courts. Simeon held Jesus in his arms and praised God in response to the knowledge that he himself was being held, loved and cradled by the One in the cradle (Luke 2:25)

Night time is approaching and as we are wrapped up in bed in our warm blankets, may we too know that we are held and cradled by the love of Jesus and surrounded by his tender care. Like a weaned child with its mother, Jesus stills and quiets our troubled souls and gives us His perfect rest (Psalms 131:2).

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee" (Isaiah 26:3).

Been a quiet night in.
I have the boxset of that classic TV series "Tales of the Unexpected". Always loved their episodes - they just don't make TV like that anymore. Chewing through a bag of fruit pastilles - it's just like being at the cinema.
The big question is, do I push the boat out and make myself another luxury Swiss hot chocolate.....
