Hello everyone,

I'm a 37 years old male, originally from Europe, and moved to the United States last year. Currently living near Seattle and will be moving to Phoenix soon, once the Covid-19 crisis is over.

I had an exciting life, lived in different countries, and was able to see many parts of the world. Unfortunately, I was involved in New Age spirituality in my late 20's and early 30's. This led to negative experiences and unfulfillment. But God had mercy and reach out to me three years ago. I've been a believer since then.

Being a new immigrant in the US, it has been a challenge to find a good church, where I would fit in. Most people are locals with roots there and I really stand out. So far, I liked the Saddleback Church most, but it's in southern California, and living there is not an option for now. But they have great groups and programs for everyone!

Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi" and connect with fellow believers.

Also, anyone from Phoenix, feel free to reach out and recommend a church!

Welcome to Christian forums!

I've only been saved a few years, and while I was born here, I do find it a little more difficult to "fit in" to a church, but with a little effort and a lot of exploration you'll find your spot. Never lose hope on that front.

What is your beliefs? If your kind of just protestant I find Baptist church's very easy to feel welcome and fit in with... easier to jump on board and be a participant in one, than anywhere else as far as atmosphere goes.

So it really just depends on whether your fairly settled in your beliefs, and if you know and understand your own beliefs on various doctrinal disputes... you really need to navigate according to your understanding.
