Joel 2:18-27 is about God changing the condition of the nations spiritually. First fasting and prayer make an actual impact on the financial, natural. (Joel 2:12-17)
Nations are impacted in the natural realm.
Joel 2:18-27 is about physical blessings to Israel in the age to come. Whatever blessings God promise to do in the age to come, He will do it in parts of our individual lives. God thinks this way to individual groups, He has the same heart of blessing us.
Blessings in spiritual and natural are the fruit of solemn assembly, a by-product of a solemn assembly. Fasting and prayer releasing God's zeal for the land. The Lord will answer the prayer of verse 12-17 and release grain. You will be satisfied, the physical supply for your family. The Babylonian has been causing famine problem at that time. But God will satisfy your hunger if you turn to Him.
There is a Northern army (Antichrist) coming from the North to attack Israel and many nations in the earth. What God does in Israel, we get a lesser measure of it.
In Ezekiel 39, God is going to kill millions of this hostile army. It will be so horrible until stench will arise. The Antichrist army will have no honour at the end of the day because their corpse will not be buried.

Be glad and rejoice,

23 Be glad then, you children of Zion,
And rejoice in the Lord your God;

The former rain,
And the latter rain in the first month.
He is telling the children of God to not worry and full blessings are in God's heart to release.

And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.
25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming [a]locust has eaten,
The crawling locust,
The consuming locust,
And the chewing locust,

26 You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
And praise the name of the Lord your God,
Who has dealt wondrously with you;
And My people shall never be put to shame.
Is in God's heart to deal wondrously with us, He has a marvellous plan for us if we say yes to Him.
Twice, God made the point that He doesn't want His people to be put to shame. It bruises His heart when we are put to shame even though He allows it. God wants us confident and bold before Him and filled with honour. The God of judgment doesn't want shame to be upon His people.
The transition in Joel occurs: Then the Lord will be zealous. When is then is when the people cry out to Him. God zeal is aroused when His people come together in wholeheartedness.
This blessing that happens in its fullness in the age to come shows that God thinks about us. What happens to Israel, happens to all to the people of God at a lesser degree.

God is zealous for the land of Israel. Jesus chose the land He will bear and die in.

In Hebrews 12, we are all part of Zion. The physical place Zion, God is zealous for it. We should be zealous with that city too.

God is drawing the nations to cleanse Israel, Satan is drawing the nations to destroy Israel.

The northern army in Joel's days in Babylon. Babylon is only a downpayment of a far more severe army that is coming at the end of the age.

The Lord is going to be angry with all the army that join Antichrist. When we see the Antichrist army raise up, we prophecy what is going to happen to this army. We don't drawback in the Lord at such times.

You know that God doesn't want us to fear, He wants us to be bold and free from shame. God is in control. You can have victory in different measure.
