Missing Glasses...

I haven't been able to find my glasses for three days now. I have barely left my home (of course) so I can't believe that I haven't found them yet! It's very frustrating.

I took them off before bed on Monday and almost always leave them in the bathroom. But I've looked everywhere, even ridiculous places.

Usually when I ask God to help me find something like glasses or keys it seems as if that prayer is answered almost immediately. This time... nope. Perhaps He is teaching me a new level of trust.

Regardless, if anyone wants to I'd appreciate extra prayers in helping me find them again. It's so puzzling. I feel like I have dementia...

Check in the trash can in your bath.r..
If not there, check the last trash bag you took outside.

I just checked all my trash cans and it isn't in there. But I did empty one yesterday and stick it outside, so I think to put my mind to rest I'll go out and open it again tomorrow morning.

I've been working early hours at a farm and I'm thinking maybe in my 3AM delirium I took the last granola bar from a box and unthinkingly put my glasses inside the empty box temporarily (but not actually!). The first time I noticed them missing was early in the morning when I was going to leave for the farm. I was happy I actually got up at the right time and not 11PM like the day before! But then I ended up late because I was looking all over for my glasses instead. So they had to disappear sometime between when I went to bed and when I left for work that morning and all I can think is something happened during my super groggy pre-breakfast.

I use glasses from one of those cheap Chinese shops
and I bought three pairs. Only $2-50 each and they work perfectly.

So I have three pairs and no matter what happens to a pair I have two backup pairs.

It is so annoying when you misplace something.

So they'll actually give you your specific prescription? My eyes are both different so it's not like reading glasses will work that well, I don't think. I bought those online from a Chinese company very inexpensively, but I'm not sure they'd be able to ship them right now. Maybe. But would I want to? :scratch:

Checked the garbage outside and not there either. I'm REALLY confused. It has to have fallen behind something or in something. I'll probably find them a year form now...

I do have a very scratched back up pair which works for now, so that's good. It kinds of bothers my eyes after awhile since the lenses are kind of beat up, but at least I can see.

Thanks! I already have reached that conclusion... But it's still so frustrating the way they just vanished over night. I can only remember some of what I did before bed and I have no memory of when I took them off. I'll just wait for God to reveal them to me and trust Him to keep this old pair from breaking and my eyes from wearing out. They're very flimsy compared to my regular pair.

Just checked again. Not there... If only I could remember when I took them off I'm sure I'd find them. I've been praying for recollection but so far my memory is blank. :scratch:

I had a rash and went into the bathroom a second time to look at it in the mirror. After that I went to bed. So I think I took them off before I went to look at my rash because I was already about to get into bed.

When I have trouble finding something, the best thing for me to do is to just clean everywhere, under and inside of everything. Even *carefully* move furniture to clean under and behind it.

Some places I have found my glasses:
Between mattress and box springs
Between mattress and wall
Stuck in the bed frame
Between the wall and furniture
In a drawer
On a shelf, counter top, or table that I don't usually put them on
In couch or chair cushions
Under furniture
Closed inside a book

Do you have pets or kids in the house?
My friend's wallet was once stolen and chewed by the dog.
One time we lost a TV remote, gave up and replaced it, then found it in our 3-year-old's toy box.
I knew a woman who took a nap while visiting her daughter and toddler grandchild. While she was asleep she took her false teeth out, and the toddler took them. It took a long time to find the teeth.

Oh man! I'm really glad I haven't lost my teeth!

I did look under my mattress and in the edges of the bed frame. I pulled out everything from under my bed and used a flashlight but didn't see it. I looked under my couch and cushions. I looked under any books I had open and all around my work desk. I don't know...

As you say I really should just start cleaning and maybe they'll show up. I wanted to do that Saturday, but slept too long and only got some laundry done.

Oh, and no one else is around, so I'm the sole culprit.

Everyone, I have found my glasses!

Sunday morning I was laying in bed half awake and the thought popped into my mind "You haven't looked behind your synthesizer yet." Really random, but it was true. So I... forgot and never looked back there.

Later that day I was looking for an SD card and sometimes I use them in my synthesizer to load midi files. You stick them in a slot in the back. So I look back there and, guess what? My glasses!

I'm pretty sure it was the Holy Spirit nudging me to look there that morning and I was dumb enough to forget. So I guess He found another way! I have literally no idea why they would have been back there. I didn't play my synthesizer all that week and I should have been getting ready for bed, so why would I have laid them back there?? Weird.

Sometimes I feel like God must just be looking down at me and shaking His head and sighing "Oh, Messerve, you're at it again." I'm eternally grateful for his patience with me... :prayer:

Thank you all for praying, too! It's great to have clear vision again. I was just starting to have trouble with my old pair so the timing was perfect. And another little step of growth in my own faith.
