Keras and Tranquil,
Each of you need to make a timeline chart which has all of the 7 year 70th week major events and pre-events. Which fits together all of the interpretations you have so people can see how they fit together.
Doug, it couldn't be simpler, I have tried my best, but I will try again.
Matthew 24
4And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray.
5For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.
6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
7For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
9“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake.
10And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.
11And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
12And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
13But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
14And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
These are the 5 seals in Revelation. We are in the Seals now. Whether one interprets the Seals as having started since 30 AD or as a 9 month period of 'birth pains', either way, it doesn't really matter. The Seals are going on now.
There simply is nothing to hang one's hat on here in the Seals material. The antichrist is not revealed yet. Wars, martyrdoms, famines, false christs have been happening for 2000 years. There just isn't anything to say about these items. Until the 'end comes'.
15“
So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),
16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
17 Let the one who is on the housetop not go down to take what is in his house,
18 and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.
19 And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!
20 Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.
21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.
24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
The thing that you won't accept, that messes up your understanding is in not seeing verse 23 above:
The abomination comes, then the great tribulation stops...
Why do the people of Judea flee?
Deuteronomy 13
1 If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder,
2 and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “
Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,”
3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul.
4 It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.
5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow.
You must purge the evil from among you.
[...]
12 If you hear it said about
one of the towns the Lord your God is giving you to live in 13 that troublemakers have arisen among you and have led the people of their town astray, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods” (gods you have not known),
14 then you must inquire, probe and investigate it thoroughly. And if it is true and it has been proved that this detestable thing has been done among you,
15 you must certainly put to the sword all who live in that town. You must destroy it completely, both its people and its livestock. 16 You are to gather all the plunder of the town into the middle of the public square and completely burn the town and all its plunder as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God. That town is to remain a ruin forever, never to be rebuilt,
17 and none of the condemned things are to be found in your hands.
Then the Lord will turn from his fierce anger, will show you mercy, and will have compassion on you. He will increase your numbers, as he promised on oath to your ancestors—
18 because you obey the Lord your God by keeping all his commands that I am giving you today and doing what is right in his eyes.
Are people getting 'raptured' here? No!
Does this scenario sound familiar? It should, it's basically the same as this passage from Revelation 18
4Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,
“
Come out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;
5 for her sins are heaped high as heaven,
and God has remembered her iniquities.
6 Pay her back as she herself has paid back others,
and repay her double for her deeds;
mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed.
7 As she glorified herself and lived in luxury,
so give her a like measure of torment and mourning,
since in her heart she says,
‘I sit as a queen,
I am no widow,
and mourning I shall never see.’
8For this reason her plagues will come in a single day,
death and mourning and famine,
and she will be burned up with fire;
for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
The '
day of the Lord' arrives at the 6th Seal (Revelation 6:12-17) when the man of sin is revealed. How is he 'revealed'?
2 thess 2
3Let no one deceive you in any way. For
that day will not come,
unless the rebellion comes first,
and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
4 who opposes and
exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
Now do you see why Daniel 9:26 says
The people of the coming prince will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come with a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations are decreed.
"And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."
The coming prince: destroys the city (1st Trumpet) destroys the sanctuary (6th Trumpet), the wars continue until he makes the firm covenant (start of the 2 witnesses 1260 days).
There is more than one 'coming prince': there are 2 maybe 3. The Daniel 8 little horn is not the same as the Daniel 7 little horn. The Dan 8 little horn stops the sacrifices, but the Daniel 7 little horn oppresses the saints and is a blasphemer.
29“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Why are the elect being gathered? They were faithful when the city said, let's go worship other gods. See Deuteronomy 13:17-18 above.
It is probably such that the Daniel 8 little horn stops the sacrifices on Dec 21, 2020 (again, all that is is a run down of Daniel 9:2's 70 years, then 70 weeks (Daniel 9:24), then 7 weeks (Daniel 9:25), then 62 weeks (Daniel 9:25), then 3.5 days is the abomination idol that stops the sacrifices. That's the start of the 'day of the Lord's wrath' that starts when the man of sin is revealed: The Daniel 8 little horn stops the sacrifices, but the Daniel 7 little horn is opposing himself against this object of worship. The Daniel 7 little horn destroys Mystery Babylon that housed the abomination.
That is how the elect are potentially deceived. That is the false christ that is arising at Matthew 24:23 after the abomination has shown up in Matthew 24:15. That false christ opposed the abomination on Dec 21, 2020.
That false christ is 'destroying the city' and the 'sanctuary' - because that is where the abomination was. See Deuteronomy 13:12-15 again. He destroys the city at the 1st Trumpet (Feb 4, 2021).
That is why there are 2 gatherings (at the 7th Seal & at the end of the 2 witnesses 1260 days): the 'savior' of the Daniel 8 little horn abomination event turns out to be a bad guy: he destroys the city where the abomination was, then destroys its sanctuary (July 4, 2021), then makes a covenant (Nov 27, 2021), then breaks it 3.5 years later.
