No bible verse suggests that the earth is anything but a circle at a distance. So anything that adds to this is not scriptural.

I explained this earlier. The context of the word circle in scriptures merely implies a curve or arc, not a 360 degree shape. It's the same as the context of the word disc or circumference in the Book of Enoch.

When you understand this, it becomes clearer.

Science says this, science says that.

Should we care? No.
Yes we should, as long as it's based on observation and testing.
And through observation and testing we conclude the Earth is a spinning globe in a solar sytem.

You go ahead and make your conclusions from observation and testing. I'll go ahead and make my conclusions from God's word.

It is almost always an error to call the Bible "God's word" since what one is referring to is not the Bible itself, but one's own personal interpretation of the Bible.

Correction: Holy Spirit inspired interpretation.

2 Timothy 2:16,

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (NKJV)

A line stretched how far exactly?
The entire earth.
“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Tell Me, if you have understanding.
Who determined its measurements?
Surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?

I'm trying to understand you.

Are you saying a line stretched on an object must always be straight?

You do realize that the line being referred to in that scripture is a measuring line; a simple rope or cord used for measurements in ancient times; which best suits the situation since a curved surface is being measured.

Job 38:5,

Who set its measurements--if you know--or who stretched a measuring line across it? (NET)

Exactly!

I mean. A ball earth?? Spinning and flung through space like a slingshot??

Who would believe such??
Well... you would, obviously.
If only it was written in that way in your "Word of God". Then you would believe it. Without question, without testing, without relying on your senses, without trying to align it to "reality".

Yet another thread dedicated to this utter nonsense. And, not surprisingly, I'm not seeing any new arguments that haven't been debunked thousands of times.
Not any new arguments... but what other than "I believe that this is what the Bible says" can someone make whose worldview is exclusively based on the text and who disregards any other evidence?

But I have to admit that it is interesting to see a "Flat Earther" who tries to defend the "traditional" flat earth model, where the sun "hides" for the night. Most modern Flat Earthers - even the biblical literalists - don't try to deny the simply observation that the sun is always visible at some point on earth.

Exactly.

More so, it does align with reality, because it is reality.

More realistic than spinning without feeling dizzy.

It's interesting I have a lot of atheists on this subject.

However, it's unhealthy for a forum of believers to be filled with unrepentant unbelievers.
Well... don't let the door hit you.
Exactly.

More so, it does align with reality, because it is reality.
Is your model the one visible in the little video you posted in the OP?

Then... would you care to tell us how missing half of the United States fits into reality? Or how the whole populated surface of the earth being dark at "night", when the sun is going below fits into reality?
Or how moving over the "western" end of your nicely curved earth and reappearing on the "eastern" side fits into reality?

More realistic than spinning without feeling dizzy.
Dizzy? Why?
Have you ever visited one of the many "rotating restaurants" that are part of some towers? In reality?
These contraptions "spin" a lot faster than earth... and people are sitting there very comfortably eating their dinner... and no one feels "dizzy".

Somehow I get the feeling that you are trying to have us.

If you are an atheist troll trying to make Christianity look crazy... just go away.
And if you are a Christian troll... why, I have no idea why you would do such a thing here.
And if you are indeed serious... you still seem to have an appreciation for reality. Just go out and look at it for a while. After all, you believe that this is what God created. So perhaps you should study it a little before making such unrealistic statements.

So leave and go the Christians Only section of the message board.

The bulk of my time isn't spent on forums. See my past activity if you care. In due time I'll leave, and possibly return after a couple of months.

Trust me, it's healthy.

Even healthier if the time is spent with God.
