When Pence, the head of the White House's coronavirus task force, was asked about his grotesque defiance of Mayo Clinic's clearly communicated protection mask policy he reportedly stated, "I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to be here, to be able to speak to these researchers, these incredible health care personnel, and look them in the eye and say thank you."

That claim reminds me of the March 9, 2020 cover of The New Yorker.

What I see is an article that fails to indicate that Pence ever saw a copy of the memo given to the press. Why would he? So the conclusion that Pence knew that a face mask was required is not established. Without establishing that he intentionally disregarded the hospital policy the story is not much of a story.

We have ‘Father’ Pence’s story that he didn’t mask up because he didn’t have COVID and he wanted to look people in the eye....(!!?)

We have ‘Mother’ Pence’s Story that he didn’t mask up because he didn’t know he was supposed to because he wasn’t informed until after the event.

We have the journalist reporting that they were informed before the event....

Gee.....who to believe....?

well lets see...confidence in the press is near an all time low and there is no factual verification for this story....seems like a no brainer

IOW Pence is incredibly stupid as not to know that he was the only one not wearing appropriate attire. You seriously cannot be arguing that he is that stupid.
