How Do You Get Saved?

Back when I was a confident atheist, my father prayed for me FOR YEARS. When he got his own life in line with God, things began to happen in my life. I cannot explain them except as coincidences with a purpose...and God did it, not me, for I was NOT asking for salvation.

salvation comes from grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

God leads people to salvation in many ways. Our circumstances are as unique a we are. However, salvation is by one way only. The following link lays it out.

It doesn't really matter what I personally think. The teaching of Christianity has always been that a person hears the gospel and believes, repents of their sins, is baptized for the forgiveness of previous sins, receives the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands, then participates in the sacramental life of the Church. "He who endures to the end shall be saved".

Salvation is a gift which lays in Heaven awaiting all of us. 1 Timothy 4:9-10, for Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:1-2, but salvation can only be accessed through faith in Jesus' sacrifice, Ephesians 2:8, for if we have no faith in Jesus then we will not believe in His salvation either and perish in our unbelief. 1 Corinthians 1:18

You can be saved at different levels, like you know there is saints, saved christians and saved in other religions which are different levels. But in christianity you get saved by walking on God's way.

I believe we are saved from the judgment that would come because of sin, by the words Jesus declared. Jesus declared forgiveness of sins and that is how people are saved from the judgment.

It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.
