I was making a joke with my bestie the other day that all of my friends are gamers but I am not. I've never really been interested in video games (do they even still call them that??). But I'm always interested in hearing about others gaming fun, and maybe diving into it myself.

I've recently been talked into getting a Nintendo Switch so I'll be doing that at some point, it's peer pressure y'all.

What do you use and what games do you like??

PS4 pro.

As far as games, Metal Gear Solid 5 is probably my all time favorite game. Red Dead Redemption 2. Probably the most detailed game or art product ever made in the history of man.

Used to be a Nintendo fan.. but seems all their first party games are simply rehashes of games in the past. If I do ever buy a switch, that Animal Crossing game looks pretty neat. Probably something you'd enjoy. Low key relaxation. The game is in real time. Meaning if you play at night the game is at night.. if you play on Sunday the game is based on Sunday with certain activities open. Winter time in real life there is snow and whatnot in the game during the whole season. Things go on in the game whether your play it or not.

Used to love playing that game on the Gamecube.

I've always been a Sony person. My family had Nintendo consoles growing up, but the first gaming console that was definitively mine was the original PlayStation. Over the past 2 decades I've always had the next-gen PlayStations.

I currently have a PS4 and I play a lot of JRPGs. I'm playing through Persona 5: Royal and I want to get the Final Fantasy 7 remake soon.

I also really like the Kingdom Hearts series, but I will be the first to admit it's really stupid. But that's a part of the fun and its charm.

:bigeye: That sounds really cool. Yeah my bestie told me I'm getting Animal Crossing so I guess I am. lol I will definitely be posting about it when I do. I like the fact that you can add people to the game, and play along with your friends. Seems very interactive. That's pretty awesome about the time and seasons too. You're right it does sound like something I'd enjoy. :D

I play on a PC.

If you're getting a Switch, and enjoy RPGs I'd highly recommend Dragon Quest XI : Shadows of an Elusive Age. It's an outstanding RPG for the modern era, and is turn based like the RPGs of the 90s. It's a Japanese RPG, and so it has that kind of art style. I'll also mention that I'm not normally hugely into anime, or any of that stuff. A buddy told me that it was a kind of continuation from the original Dragon Warrior games from the early 90s. I've played it on PC, and loved the story.

I love the assasin creed games the most. My favorite were the ezio collection and the latest which is assasins creed odyssey. I have a nintendo switch but I barely play the games. I played pokemon evie which was cute and zelda breathe of the wilds. I also play minecraft on the switch when my friends are playing.

I never really thought I'd be into RPG's but I really do like them. I will definitely check that out, it sounds like something I'd enjoy. :D Thanks for the recommendation!

Lol, yeah that game is pretty popular right now.

Also interesting when you plant things they can take days or weeks to grow. Not as slow as real life, but for a game you really do get a sense of accomplishment in the long run.

The online stuff is fun. Used to play online on Animal Crossing DS. Although I had to be careful and keep a watchful eye on my guests. They can steal stuff that is left outside the house and chop trees and make a mess of your town. I remember on an Animal Crossing forum back in the day there was a guy who was asking for bells (the currency in the game) and he said he'd infiltrate a town of someone you hate and totally trash it, lol.

Surprise the real time mechanic isn't used in more games.

Whoa! Sounds like AC can get rowdy.... I like it :satisfied: Although I'd never steal from someone but I could totally see it happening to me. I saw you can fix up your house and get all kinds of decor. I'd be surprised if someone didn't want to steal from me. :p

Now I want it even more. lol I told my friend when I get the game the only way she'll be able to reach me is over the game

Yeah, not sure about the new game. From what I see you can do a lot more things in it. Like dig new paths and terraform the land and whatnot. Remember we used to play hide and seek and hit each other with nets playing tag. Sure you can do that and much more with this new game.

We could have CF parties. Sure we can all trust each other to behave in each other's towns.. lol. Pretty much the game we need for our social distancing era.

Don't touch my garden!! :p But yeah that sounds like a great idea. It'll help me learn quicker what to do in the game.

The whole hide and seek, and playing tag sounds fun too haha

Also cool although not sure if it is in the new games.. but you could literally buy old Nintendo games and play them in your house.

This brings me back.. I remember getting up early in the morning (not a morning person at all) to do aerobics with my villager friends. Don't think I ever completed the 14 day challenge.. but still.. I was groggy but it was such a cool game experience. Still remember that music.

Also every Saturday night you could listen to a dog play guitar for a crowd of people in a bar. If you stayed he'd give you a tape, lol.

Lol I love it! I hope that's still a thing. I will have to do some research on animal crossing and talk to my bestie about stuff that it can do. I'm pretty sure she's been playing for years.

Nevermind I think the bar was in the Nintendo DS version (been a good 15 years since I've played it.. lol). But here is him singing in the Gamecube one. Pretty sure the Dog is in the new one.. because I've seen people making memes of him recently.

Yes! Get a Switch and Animal Crossing!

I’ve had the game less than a week but I convinced my best friend to get it to play with me and my sister this week. ^_^ She said she’s never played it and doesn't know if she will like it. But I think she will like it. :D

It’s very fun so far.

I played the one back in the day on the

Wait, CF Animal Crossing, what? Like, an Animal Crossing game where all the characters are members of the CF singles community? ^_^

Well, now that I am just off of another stretch of work days and have a good 70 hours off, time to hit up the next mode of difficulty that unlocked for me in the new remake of Resident Evil 3, tonight. Called "Nightmare" mode. Turns out that there are actually three modes of difficulty higher than the standard one - Hardcore, Nightmare, and then, finally, Inferno. O_O

So the one I am about to tackle tonight, "Nightmare", isn't even the hardest one. Tonight! I take on the Nemesis once again on the mean zombie-infested perpetual-nighttime streets of Raccoon City. It's "supercop" Jill Valentine,

Anyone hear about the Last Of Us Part 2 leaks? Apparently the bad guys are conservative Christians and it has a lot of anti-male messages.

Probably not going to buy the game. In fact I heard a lot of top people working on that game quit out of frustration with where the series was going. Doubt most of those people are conservatives Christians as well.

A shame.
