No.

The Mark of the beast will be a microchip in your hand or head. You won't be able to work, buy stuff, claim social security and do many other things without it.

Sadly many companies are forcing staff to have such chips.

At the moment but in the future all companies, banks etc will use such technology. The mark of the beast will be vero-chip type technology.

There will be a cashless and card society.

Private companies are the government, they dictate what laws the government makes. Big corporations and billionaires really rule the country, they control the media and tell you who to vote for come election day.

The people who will accept the mark will be worshipers of the beast, however casually. Yet, worshiping the beast is a conscious choice, and denying Jesus is a conscious choice. They're not going to sneak it in like that.

Having the mark of the beast won't be a choice when it happens. In order to avoid it your have to live off the grid. You won't be able to work, buy food, have medicines without it.

The price for getting it will be worshiping the beast and/or denying Christ, and that will be a choice. Let's say it's a microchip. It wouldn't be receiving the microchip that would be sinful, but what you have to do in order to receive it. Receiving it would be a sign that you have worshiped the beast and/or denied Christ.

For insight on the origins of this specific myth that is gaining traction:

Someone on Landover Baptist forum, which is a parody site created to lampoon fundamentalists, made the claim that a COVID-19 vaccine will be the mark of the beast, not because it holds any truth, but to deride Christians for believing that it does. The site is designed to replicate the original format of this one, and models its content on Poe's Law, was was coined here and has since become an internet phenomenon. Visitors are frequently Poe'd, being fooled into believing that what they are reading is genuine and so they then repeat the spoof elsewhere without context. The parody claim being replicated by actual Christians gives it the appearance of legitimacy. Landover Baptist, to its credit, has responsibly deleted some of such content because they realize that anything detrimental to public health during a global pandemic isn't funny at all.

The problem is two fold. The first is how people misread Scripture by putting modern ideas onto Ancient idea and second is that all this is scary, the powers that be are coming down hard and doing things that are necessary like Michigan where you have to stay home, you can't grow food or anything like that that would help a persons peace of mind but you can buy marijuana, get an abortion, buy booze. Put those things together and t does look like it is the end of everything

We are lacking an IMAGE, WORSHIP, and the mark is ON the hand or forehead, not UNDER it.

It only begins to have the potential to be if it includes a microchip implanted under your skin or in your body, and only becomes so when they start using it to give you the ability, or inability, to buy or sell, and there is no other optional way, etc...

And it includes... well would be, at that point... another "god/God" that you put above or put your faith and trust in more than "The God", etc, and tying the money aspect into it is a good way to get people to show that, etc...

It will probably also include swearing allegiance or loyalty to some kind of world leader, or system, or power, or government, etc, above and beyond God, etc...

They will probably also be able to use it to keep everyone "under their thumb", rule, etc, and keep down any kind of rebellion, and keep tabs on you/them or track you/me/we/them at all times or whenever they wish in an instant, etc...

It will include everything they will ever need to know about you, not only your identification, but your history, a complete file on you, etc, eventually from birth, etc, at all times or can be accessed instantly at any time, etc...

It will make any kind of rebellion or revolution or revolt next to impossible, etc...

Cause if you ever considered even remotely a threat, or even ever think about becoming one or becoming so, then you can 100% guarantee that they will know about it as soon as you even begin having even the single-most even remotest thought about it, etc...

But they will claim to be able to eliminate all crime and poverty, etc, great, great promises of peace and prosperity, and lifelong security, etc...

But were clearly not there yet, etc...

What, exactly, is the policy in Michigan? Here in New Jersey, where there have been a lot of cases, there are strict restrictions about going out in public, but there are no restrictions on what you can grow in your back yard. There's no contagion issue with what I grow in my garden, if I eat it myself. Does Michigan really prohibit private vegetable gardens?

Yes, it seems. The governor there forced stores to tape of any seeds and home improvement things as non essential. She alone decided what was and was not essential. The poor people in Michigan are living under another kim jong un, it is much worse there than in California

Weird. Maybe the governor hasn't thought this through. I was thinking the opposite, that I might grow more vegetables in my back yard this year, to cut down on the trips I have to make to the grocery store.

Update on Michigan: It looks like the ban just applies to large stores of more than 50,000 square feet. So if you can get seeds from some other source -- small store, online, etc. -- you can still garden. I think.

If the beast wants you to to develop COVID-19 antibodies and there is some sort of mark involved then you might be onto something.
