There are denominational differences on this issue (Christians disagreeing about doctrine? Gasp!), but I’m of the belief that a physical water baptism isn’t necessary for salvation. I believe it’s important, yes, and a beautiful outward expression of faith, but it isn’t what saves you. Salvation is through faith alone and being born again in the Spirit. If baptism is required for salvation, the thief on the Cross wasn’t saved. Yet Jesus said he’d be with Him in Paradise!

So, no, you’re not doomed because you can’t get a water baptism right now. A lot of churches are pausing their usual water baptisms for the time being as a safety precaution against the virus. Doesn’t mean people stop getting saved!

The short answer is yes. And yes you can become a christian without knowing in as called can bring you to Himself or reveal Himself to you. Baptism is important in the Christian life and something you should seek. More importantly you need to know Christ and be known by Christ. Get a hold of a Bible, read the New Testament first. You can start with the book of John then go back and start with Matthew and read through to the end. Pray to God that He will open your eyes and heart to His word. You will desire to be baptized as Christ commanded it. You will find it will help cement yourl ife. Always seek him and never stop.

iv asked and theres no churches that will help me and i know zero christians in real life iv been told im doomed
You can be born again and not baptised. However, you should get baptised as soon as you can. God's word tells us that we die with Christ when we accept Him as Saviour and Lord. What do you do with a dead person? You bury them! That's what baptism is all about. Baptism is an outward and public confirmation of what God has done inside you.

The man on the cross next to Christ was saved without baptism. So its possible.

You are not on the cross, though. So if it is technically possible for you to be baptised, be baptised. I am pretty sure its possible to find some church in the UK or in Europe that will baptise you.

Try to ask for example baptists.

Can you quote this God's word saying that? That we die with Christ in the moment of accepting Him as Savior?
Sure.
Colossians 3:3
For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
Ephesians 1:13
"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit........
Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Romans 6:6
"We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin."
Galatians 6:14
"But as for me, may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."

God includes us in Christ when we accept Him. We see in Galatians 2:20 that we have been crucified with Christ. We are also raised with Him to new life.

I mean a quotation about what you said there: "God's word tells us that we die with Christ when we accept Him as Saviour and Lord."

I.e. a quotation that we die with Christ in the moment we accept Him as Savior. Because Paul said its happening during baptism, therefore I would like to see verses supporting your position.

You do not need to find a church, technically anyone can baptize you, they (believe it or not) dont even have to be a Christian. The significant points are that you need to have water at least run across your forehead and the recitation of " I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." It is a historical fact that unbaptized believers on their way to be martyred were baptized by pegans and it was accepted by the church as being valid.

We are buried with Christ in baptism. That's what you do with dead people.
2 Corinthians 5:14
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that One died for all, therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died for them and was raised again.…

When did all die? When Christ died. When does it become effective? When we accept Christ.

We come into this life by birth and we leave by death. If we want to be born again, we have to die first. Death rids us of the fallen nature we inherit from Adam. Resurrection grants us the new, born again spirit that makes us alive to God.

It is plain from the Bible (and Christian's experiences, including my own) that baptism is subsequent to being born again, or if you prefer, saved. If an individual is not born again, he goes under the water a dry sinner and comes up a wet sinner. I knew nothing of baptism when I got born again. I was not instructed by the person who led me to the Lord. Once I found out about, I took the first opportunity to be baptised. All I felt afterwards was cold and wet. When I was born again initially, I knew that I was different. I knew something amazing had happened, I just did not know what. Now I do know. So I should after 49 years in the Lord.

Why does it matter? It is the very heart of Christianity. We must know that we are dead in order to resist sin, self, Satan and the world - all the enemies of God and ourselves. Only dead people can rise from the dead, which is pretty self-evident. It is obvious from talking to Christians that not everyone knows that they are dead. They have terrible struggles with sin, guilt, shame and failure, which should not be the case. The Cross is the great transforming point, the greatest event in human history. The race of Adam is terminated. The new creation in Christ is working to bring about the Kingdom of God.

Sabretooth, the composite of what several posters said earlier answers your question.

Yes, technically and in extreme situations, not being baptized won't prevent a person who has truly come to Christ from being saved. It also doesn't guarantee that you WILL be saved if you are baptized.

But what's the reason that a person who is not marooned on a desert island WOULD NOT be baptized? Almost every church performs baptisms, we know that the Bible teaches that we should be baptized if we are followers of Christ (He said that personally!), and it doesn't hurt.

I 'get' that an unbaptized person could worry about this, so asking the question is understandable, but there is no reason not to be baptized and several good reasons for BEING baptized. :)

You are not doomed if you sincerely turn to Christ but without Baptism. But that's something that happens in very unusual circumstances. It is hard to believe that there is no one who will baptize you.

Perhaps churches want more than just a request from an unknown person. Maybe they insist upon such a person going through a course of instruction first. But there are ordained ministers who work as chaplains and in other capacities. Even local fire departments have a chaplain these days. Have you sought out anybody like that?
