12 YHWH said to Moshe, 13 Tell the people of Isra’el, ‘You are to observe my Shabbats; for this is a sign between me and you through all your generations; so that you will know that I am YHWH, who sets you apart for me. 17 It is a sign between me and the people of Isra’el forever; for in six days ADONAI made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and rested.’

Sabbath was made for "man"... so before anyone points out "the people of Israel" only.. remember Yeshua said it is for "man". He also declared He is the Lord of the Sabbath. He should know, He is our Creator and Redeemer.

Texts such as this one from the prophet Isaiah hint that a time will come when the Torah will indeed be set aside:

What are your multiplied sacrifices to Me?"
Says the LORD.
"I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams
And the fat of fed cattle;
And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs or goats.
12"When you come to appear before Me,
Who requires of you this trampling of My courts?
13"Bring your worthless offerings no longer,
(Incense is an abomination to Me
New moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies--
I cannot endure iniquity and the solemn assembly.
14"I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts,
They have become a burden to Me;
I am weary of bearing them
.

The Torah contains prescriptions for sabbath observance and for performing sacrifices. This text from Isaiah suggests that those practices will indeed come to an end.

so before anyone points out "the people of Israel" only.

YHWH's covenant is with Israel.

(CLV) Hb 8:10
"For this is the covenant which I shall be covenanting with the house of Israel after those days," the Lord is saying: "Imparting My laws to their comprehension, On their hearts, also, shall I be inscribing them, And I shall be to them for a God, And they shall be to Me for a people.

Yahshua was commissioned only for Israel.

(CLV) Mt 15:24
Now He, [Yahshua] answering, said, "I was not commissioned except for the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

One law Forever!

(CLV) Num 15:15
As for the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the sojourner sojourning with you. It shall be an eonian statute throughout your generations. Like you so shall the sojourner be before Yahweh.

I have numerous verses from multiple prophets which sate that the Levitical Priesthood, and the sacrifices will be in the Kingdom to come.

Here is just one:

(CLV) Mal 3:4
Then the approach present of Judah and Jerusalem will be congenial to Yahweh as in the days of the eon, and as in former years.

"Israel" as laid out in Torah, not so much as "Israel" who is but a weakened faint example but remains faithful in part to Torah. The "perfect" Israel is yet to come. When today's Israel, the Jewish people, see Yeshua as their Messiah, the lights will come on and will shine brightly in this darkened world like nothing this world currently has seen. A people for God beyond reproach. True, Prophecy states it will only be a third.

All right, let's talk about "forever" as used in Exodus 31:17. It is the Hebrew word "owlam":

Definition (from Net Bible): 1) long duration, antiquity, futurity, for ever, ever, everlasting,
evermore, perpetual, old, ancient, world

And here we have an example from Isaiah 42 of this same word used in a context where eternality is certainly not intended:

The LORD emerges like a hero,
like a warrior he inspires himself for battle;
he shouts, yes, he yells,
he shows his enemies his power.
I have been inactive for a long time;
I kept quiet and held back.
Like a woman in labor I groan;
I pant and gasp.
I will make the trees on the mountains and hills wither up;
I will dry up all their vegetation.
I will turn streams into islands,
and dry up pools of water.

Clearly God is talking about talking action after a long period of “inactivity”. So here, the word “owlam” does not denote an everlasting period of time – it denotes a limited duration of time.

This the only version that matters. The JPS was translated by native Hebrew speaking Jewish scholars. If anyone knows what Hebrew words mean, they do. Anything that contradicts this is not worth reading.

I have that one too.

Ask and you will receive:

This the only version that matters. The JPS was translated by native Hebrew speaking Jewish scholars.

You don't think that other Bible companies can hire Hebrew scholars?

Have we forgotten that Jesus intentionally broke the Sabbath along with several other of the 613 "laws". That was not by accident, there was a message in what He did.

Then in your teaching - He was a sinner. His enemies constantly accused Him of sin against God's Law.

"SIN IS transgression of the LAW" 1 John 3:4

And the Bible says He never sinned.

Heb 4
15 For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.

2 Cor 5:
21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Christ's atoning sacrifice was a perfect, spotless , sinless sacrifice

I have numerous verses from multiple prophets which sate that the Levitical Priesthood, and the sacrifices will be in the Kingdom to come.

Here is just one:

(CLV) Mal 3:4
Then the approach present of Judah and Jerusalem will be congenial to Yahweh as in the days of the eon, and as in former years.

There are OT texts that speak of a successful Jerusalem before the time of the cross - one that would not be in rebellion.

But after the cross Hebrews 10 makes it clear that there are no more animal sacrifices

and Hebrews 7 - no more priesthood. In fact in Hebrews 8 even of Christ Himself it is said "IF He were on Earth He would not be a priest at all"

That would also make the author of Hebrews a false witness. It's amazing what some people will come up with to get around honoring the Sabbath.
