The US & S Korea both reported their 1st cases of COVID-19 on the exact same day in January. S Korea was smart about. They immediately mobilized their entire society. They were super proactive & aggressively tested ppl. South Korea’s CDC-approved its first diagnostic test quickly & by the end of Feb., drive-thru testing facilities that screened thousands of people a day were in operation. In contrast the US has still not gotten their act together w the testing. SK implemented an efficient screening process for travelers. My neighbours are from SK, they were on the plane there for a funeral when SK had the confirmed case. When they arrived they had their temperatures taken, history taken, were asked about any coughing or sneezing, they were registered. When they flew into the US afterwards into Orlando, they did nothing. No provisions.

Donald Trump has bragged now about banning travel from China but most of the major airlines had done that b4 he made the "ban." Don't even have time to go through all the alternative facts he's given about that now.

He continued to play golf, play on Twitter. Proxies of his like Rush Limbaugh spread conspiracy theories about it, downplaying it. Just look back through stuff Americans posted in Jan through early March. The irony is that Trump's own supporters wrote out a ton of stuff that is now part of the archive showing how his rhetoric caused ppl to downplay & minimize. Like just talking about it being a global public health crisis caused ppl to get offended, get belligerent about saying that more ppl die in car crashes & of the flu. What Trump said at that rally is preserved in the historical archives in total infamy. Trump supporters harassed public health officials. There was a super stupid conspiracy that this was all political revenge bc one of the doctors is the sister of Rod Rosenstein.

Trump tweeted almost 900 times in February but mentioned the coronavirus just 20 times

China & Italy made major mistakes that Trump turned around & repeated like muzzling of experts, downplaying the severity, not being prepared. The US had the total advantage of time, the advantage of seeing what was happening in China & Italy & Trump choose to squander it. If stronger action had been taken just 2 weeks sooner so many lives would have been saved. This is what epidemiological analysts have said.

The damage done by the WHO, a corrupt organization that enabled the CCP to get away with spreading this pandemic on the world should both (CCP AND WHO) be cut off at the knees and sued by every country affected by the Wuhan flu.
