• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

And took psychiatric drugs, like anti-psychotics considered olanzapine or even others.

If they had/have normal chemical balances in the brain, would these drugs disrupt that permanently, or cause some sort of permanent damage be it mental or physical?

And for taken how long? Instantly, a week, month, year?

Or if they were to take it briefly, 1 week or month then come off of it, would their brain and body naturally come back to normal and perfect health?

There is a lot of research of mental illness being over-diagnosed and incorrectly diagnosed as well.

It is better not to be dependent of drugs. There are some doctors who may not understand what they recommend because they are only incentive by pharmaceutical companies to introduce the drugs to the patient. The doctors do not have enough time to spend to understand the clinical trials and its implications; the doctors only recommend because other doctors recommend. The patients actually are not adequately protected. Since most patients based their decisions only on pharmaceutical literature available at the doctors’ office — the patients most likely unaware of the other implications not mentioned. Why ? Because the pharmaceutical companies are not going to expose what they have not done enough for the patients.
In sum, don’t put your trust so easily on the medicine drugs. It may alleviate or reduce certain symptoms but you cannot be certain holistically. Why ? No scientific evidence has been found that pharmaceutical companies have figured out everything about the brain.
So, don’t depend on scientific evidence because they may be only partially true.

If you want to know the whole truth, come to Jesus. If you want to your brain to be made whole, ask Your maker.
