"Oh, somebody made a movie about Mayhem. I know the story of what happened. I don't listen to Mayhem, or other Satanic bands. Mayhem played black metal, I don't listen to black metal. If it's not Satanic, it's not black metal. I listen to Christian metal, and I also listen to secular metal if the lyrical content isn't Satanic or blasphemous or anti-Christian."

If you listen to Christian Death Metal then you are basically listening to secular metal. Rage is rage, anger is anger. You started with the mockery. Why are you gaslighting? That is very manipulative and obviously I keep proving my point. Christian Death Metal is the funniest oxymoron. Rage/anger is not part of the 9 Fruits of the Spirit. I have read many articles on how Death Metal helps purge emotions like anger and depression. If that is the case then why do Christian Death Metal fans need to release anger and depression if one must have joy in their hearts in the first place during "Gorship" to the Lord?
Here is a song you might be familiar with called
"Chaos: Reborn"-Impending Doom
"As i watch the maggots swarm
Feasting on the sheep of this age
Nothing will stop my rage (THEY ARE SELLING T-SHIRTS STATING "NOTHING WILL STOP MY RAGE")
I'm so sick of the gimmicks and trends
Slowly fading, praying it ends
This is not a day of vengeance
But a day of redemption...."

Is rage the new joy?? If so, then you are using the eisegetical approach to Scripture. That is not good. In fact, that is being very manipulative. Guess who else is manipulative? He was the most beautiful angel.
Wow that song sounds really joyful doesn't it. Psalm 98:4
Be careful when you mock others.

Jude 1:17-20 Dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said before. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who laugh about God, following their own evil desires which are against God.” These are the people who divide you, people whose thoughts are only of this world, who do not have the Spirit. But dear friends, use your most holy faith to build yourselves up, praying in the Holy Spirit.

Metal isn't rage. It's music that some people happen to like.

I have read many articles on how Death Metal helps purge emotions like anger and depression. If that is the case then why do Christian Death Metal fans need to release anger and depression if one must have joy in their hearts in the first place during "Gorship" to the Lord?
Some people express their joy through metal. I sometimes do.

Interesting lyrics. I'm not exactly sure what they mean since right after "nothing will stop my rage" is "this is not a day of vengeance but a day of redemption." To me, that last line is tempering any rage that is there, and focusing any anger that is there. But I can't exactly speak for him. I can speak for myself, and I'm not seeing any evidence for Christian metal not being Christian here.

1 Corinthians 8 is often sighted as a case for Christian Heavy Metal and Christian Death Metal. But 1 Corinthians 8 is talking about food (Which is a "thing" that give nourishment for the body) and it is not "behavioral." Behavior is related to sin. 1 John 3:4 says the breaking of the commandment is sin. So when a person puts forth their sinful tendencies within music such as anger, aggression, and hate within the beat of the music, they are playing in a sinful way (Regardless of the lyrics). They are trying to play on the darker emotions of man that is wrong and is not of God. Anger is not a fruit of the Spirit for the believer. Anger is not to take up residence within us permanently.

...

This is ridiculous. Christian death metal artists are praising the Lord the best way they can. They are using their talents to present their best to God. It's not related to anger. I use it while working out. The music is what the artists enjoy and feel, so they use it to praise God. Saying it is wrong is saying that their praises are wrong. We don't have a moratorium on specific types of praise and worship. When will Believers stop condemning one another because they don't understand something about the other person? Too often, we let our personal feelings towards one another prevent us from showing love or forgiveness. Those are the commandments to follow, not "Thou shalt not play death metal because I think the beat aligns with anger." Really? Is this what the Church has come to?

LOVE people. Don't tell them how to love!

Psalm 98:4
Shout happily to the Lord, all the earth.
Break out into joyful singing, and make music.

Not my own personal rule, friend. Like I said, is rage the new joy? If so, then you are using the eisegetical approach to Scripture. Where is the love in these song? forgiveness?
"Those are the commandments to follow, not "Thou shalt not play death metal because I think the beat aligns with anger." Here is another song: Death Will Reign
...."My life is a constant war
My life is a constant fight
My life is a constant war
My life is a constant fight.
(This life is a constant war)
(This life is a constant fight)..."

Hellhole-Impending Doom
"We stand in judgement in the eyes of the Lord
And His compassion may you receive
I'd give my life to punish yours
An imperfection that burns in me

You deserve the fire
You deserve to burn
You deserve the fire
You deserve to burn

Your sick and polluted mind
If your soul was mine I would be terrified
I'd tear off the lids of you eyes
To make you watch and learn
The sins of your past have left you to burn in your hellhole
Burn for what you've done
Burn in your hellhole
Burn for what you've done"

Guess what? This singer has actually become what he loathes so much. How does that make him any better than his "enemies" (Church rules/folk)? BEST OF ALL, HOW DOES THAT MAKE HIM A PREACHER OF THE WORD? EXAMPLE: Guess who Brook Reeves (Impending Doom singer's influences are?
I like bands like Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead, along with Slipknot or Korn,” Reeves said, “and those have always influenced me in my writing – and even our band’s sound, keeping that darker, theatrical feel around us. That’s what we try to do each time.
Demon Hunter: "
WHO OR WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR INFLUENCES IN LIFE & MUSIC?
Musically my influences are bands like
MACHINE HEAD, PANTERA, old SEPULTURA, old METALLICA."
GUESS WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS (Caps for being PASSIONATE (NOT ANGRY) FOR THE WORD:
Matthew 6:4
"No man can serve two masters: for either he
will hate the one, and love the other; or else
he will hold to the one, and despise the other,
Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

A VERY IMPORTANT COMMANDMENT IS TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Tell me, where is the love here? You might as well listen to "Dying Fetus" Death Metal band. You will get the same violent language, condemnation, complaints, and aggression/RAGE (You should check out Impending Doom t-shirts ("Feel My Rage") while you are at it IF you are all for this type of thing). This music is trying to be the opposite of what death metal is all about, but in the process it has become an "oppo-same". Praising Christ and telling people off are two different things altogether, if you ask me. Violence done for the sake of saving people is no different than what happened in the inquisitions.
Do you want to know what is REALLY ridiculous and SAD? Making rage/anger the new joy in Christian Death Metal? Choosing darkness or light in Christian Death or Heavy Metal should not even be a choice! According to these 2 bands, darkness reigns. It should not be that way. Ministering to others in that fashion is not what Jesus wants us to do. We are to love one another!! Like I said, where is the love here??? Wrong move, man. May your priests be clothed with your righteousness; may your faithful people sing for joy” (Psalm 132:9)

There is such a thing as righteous wrath... and guess what? Christian's are allowed to wield it. The key is to sin not in your "anger".

You are just prejudice. Ther there is a time for everything under the sun (Ecc 3 I Believe)... not all music needs to be joyfull especially if it has a message for it.

There is no such thing as humans having "righteous anger". Where are your verses other than Ecc 3? What about Ecc 7:9 Why do you shoot the messenger or judge the Word of God?

God’s anger or wrath is always “righteous anger”; he is, after all, God.
A soft answer turns way wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
(Proverbs 15:1)
Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare. (Proverbs 22:23‒24)

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land. In just a little while, the wicked will be no more; though you look carefully at his place, he will not be there. But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace. (Psalm 37:7‒11)

There are a number of texts that portray or describe the enemies of God and his people as angry. For example, the synagogue crowd in Nazareth was “filled with wrath” and sought to kill Jesus (Lk 4:28‒29). Herod the Great became angry when he realized the magi had tricked him (Mt 2:16). Jesus’s opponents (Mt 21:15; Lk 6:11; 13:14), the Sanhedrin seeking to silence the apostles’ preaching (Acts 4:2; 5:33; 7:54), the arrogant Herod Antipas (Acts 12:20), the riotous pagan crowd in Ephesus (Acts 19:28), Saul/Paul the persecutor (Acts 26:11), and Pharaoh (Heb 11:27) all are depicted as angry or wrathful. Even more strikingly, the Revelation to John describes the nations who are opposed to God as raging against him (11:18), and the dragon-Satan is enraged because he sees his will being thwarted through the birth of the woman’s child (12:12, 17). Those who oppose and hate God and his Christ are described as angry.

Jesus said: "You have heard that it was said to those of old, “You shall not murder; and whoever murders will be liable to judgment.” But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, “You fool!” will be liable to the hell of fire."

“anger” or “wrath” can simply occur in lists of sins.
For I fear that perhaps when I come I may find you not as I wish, and that you may find me not as you wish—that perhaps there may be quarreling, jealousy, anger (θυμοί), hostility, slander, gossip, conceit, and disorder. (2 Cor 12:20) Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger (θυμοί), rivalries, dissensions, division, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Gal 5:20‒21) Let all bitterness and wrath (θυμός) and anger (ὀργή) and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. (Eph 4:31) But now, you must put them all away: anger (ὀργή), wrath (θυμός), malice, slander, and obscene talk from your mouth. (Col 3:8)

Prayers are to be offered in the Christian assemblies “without anger or quarreling” (1 Tm 2:8). Paul insists that love is “not irritable or resentful” (1 Cor 13:5).19 Fathers are not to “provoke their children to anger” as they raise them (Eph 6:14), and believers in general are not to “become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another” (Gal 5:26).

Romans 12:14‒21. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be conceited. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay,’ says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something.

The connection between being / becoming angry on the one hand and actually sinning on the other hand is so close that most of the time, Jesus and the apostles simply equate anger with sin.
There is no actual teaching that Christians should expect to be able to experience “righteous anger,” and least not in the sense of “anger that has not led you into sin” or “anger that leaves you with no cause for repentance.” It’s just not there.

Ephesians 4:26‒27 is part of the NT’s almost exclusively negative judgment of anger in man.
"The connection of anger and not sinning in this verse has led to the proposition that there can be “righteous anger” (as when God is angry with his sinful people), as if Paul were saying, “Be angry in such a way that you do not sin.” Yet the Scriptures rarely portray human anger as righteous . . . . It is worth considering the possibility that Paul intends [with the use of “be angry,” ὀργίζεσθε] “tremble” in accord with [Psalm 4:4’s] original meaning; that is, fear the wrath of God in such a way that you deal with the cause of sin and anger in the church community". (Thomas Winger, Ephesians (St. Louis: Concordia Publishing House, 2015), 522. Gustav Stählin, “The Wrath of Man and the Wrath of God in the NT," TDNT, V, 421, comments, “In Eph 4:26)

Does this teach us about "righteous anger"? Not really!
There is no such thing as a genuine, clear, biblical definition of or justification for “righteous anger” unless the anger is from God or the His Son’s wrath.

You are just prejudice (Why are you judging me?). There is a time for everything under the sun (Ecc 3 I Believe)... not all music needs to be joyfull (you are WRONG AGAIN: READ Psalm 95:2 WORSHIP MUSIC NEEDS TO BE JOYFUL NOT "GORSHIPFUL") especially if it has a message for it (As I have stated above, there is no such thing as "righteous anger" for humans. Did you read any further in Ecclesiastes? Check this one out: Ecclesiastes 7:9

"Righteous anger" is not even in Scripture. In fact, the only Scripture that links the term anger and righteousness says, “the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God” (James 1:20).
There is no such thing as humans having "righteous anger". Where are your verses? Why do you shoot the messenger or judge the Word of God?

God’s anger or wrath is always “righteous anger”/DIVINE ANGER; he is, after all, God. ONLY HE judges righteously!!

Ephesians 4:26

Be ye angry and sin not (ὀργιζεσθε και μη ἁμαρτανετε [orgizesthe kai mē hamartanete]). Permissive imperative (Greek Grammar-(Permissive Imperative (Imperative of Toleration) The imperative is rarely used to connote permission or, better, toleration. This usage does not normally imply that some deed is optional or approved. It often views that act as a fait accompli. In such instances, the mood could almost be called "an imperative of resignation."')

  • In other words "be angry, if you must BUT....DO NOT CONTINUE TO BE ANGRY THE NEXT DAY FOR IT WILL LEAD TO SIN!), not a command to be angry. Prohibition against sinning as the peril in anger. Quotation from Psa. 4:4. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath (ὁ ἡλιος μη ἐπιδυετω ἐπι παροργισμῳ [ho hēlios mē epiduetō epi parorgismōi]). Danger in settled mood of anger. Παροργισμος [Parorgismos] (provocation), from παροργιζω [parorgizō], to exasperate to anger, occurs only in LXX and here in N.T.
Robertson, A. (1997). Word Pictures in the New Testament. Oak Harbor: Logos Research Systems.

"You are just prejudice" (Why are you judging me?). There is a time for everything under the sun (Ecc 3 I Believe)... not all music needs to be joyfull (it is spelled "joyful" BTW & you are WRONG AGAIN: READ Psalm 95:2 WORSHIP MUSIC NEEDS TO BE JOYFUL NOT "GORSHIPFUL") especially if it has a message for it (As I have stated above, there is no such thing as "righteous anger" for humans. The message that "Impending Doom" is spreading is not about love but anger toward our brothers & sisters).

I get angry quite a bit. Abortion makes me angry. So does child and spousal abuse, corruption, targeted scamming of the weak, harming an innocent, the willful twisting of God's word, and numerous other similar things.

Guess I should just learn to love it all?

You can get angry all you want, read the bible and pray in order to calm your soul. Don't go to bed angry, though (I didn't make that up either) Just remember I am referring to "righteous anger"/DIVINE ANGER which ONLY belongs to God and His Son.

"Guess I should just learn to love it all?" You are not to love sin!! We are to help sinners see the light and guide them into the light-God's unconditional love/The Word of God. Christians are called to follow God's character of love. "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins" (1 John 4:8–10). Notice that God loved us before we loved Him. We should follow that example with those around us. . It is part of our duty as followers of Christ. Even though it is not a bible verse, IT IS A BIBLE PRINCIPLE: "Hate the sin, love the sinner"

You can mock me and argue about this all you want, the Bible is the final Word. Don't shoot the messenger. If you are angry, get some counseling from your pastor. Meditate on the Word.
God sees everything especially those that use the eisegetical approach to Scripture or cherry-picking.

Matthew 5:9-13 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

LET GO AND LET GOD! Anger will only harm your health and others. Let go of it in Jesus' name!

“Lord, grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change,

the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.”

― Reinhold Niebuhr

More advice: Meditate on the fruits of the Spirit.
Also, read: Matthew 5:23-26
MORE: “the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God” (James 1:20)

Let me emphasis once again: The Bible does not use the phrase "righteous anger". It never prescribes anger, and it never says an angry response was good. In fact, the only Scripture that links the term anger and righteousness says, “the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God” (James 1:20).

Paul’s instructions in Ephesians 4:26-Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger.
BUT God is the only one that can have DIVINE ANGER/Wrath/"RIGHTEOUS ANGER" for anger RIGHTLY belongs to God

The way to be angry and not sin is to DEAL WITH IT
(READ THIS AND MEDITATE ON IT PLEASE:
Proverbs 16:32 says, Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
A person who rules their spirit demonstrates self-control. Self-control is a fruit of the Spirit that’s given to us to help us control ourselves.)

"....quickly, before the sun goes down". Note that this does not say you must deal with it and settle it with whomever you are mad. That passage in Ephesians ends with a discourse on forgiving others as God has forgiven us through Christ. OUR outlet for our anger: God Himself.
Psalms 73
Psalm 10
Psalms 42

"....the willful twisting of God's word"- *
Yes, Christians need to be careful NOT to use the eisegetical approach to Scripture ESPECIALLY cherry picking. Love and peace to you and may God Bless you always.

MATT 26:52 “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him. “For all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Are you not aware that I can call on My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”

Read Matthew 5!

Hi, @Angel_Stewart , so do you like Disciple? their Battle Lines is really effective, with screamo, and hard hitting Biblical lyrics:

Thank you for posting the video. I listen to music with discernment. Just reading the lyrics and my dear friend, I am greatly concerned about these figurative words:
"We came here to fight
We won't just lay our weapons down
To your demands....."

What did Jesus say to Peter?
In Matthew 5:38–39, Jesus says, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.” The concept of “turning the other cheek” is a difficult one for us to grasp. Allowing a second slap after being slapped once does not come naturally.

Also read
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God.

Maybe it was in the sense of 2 Corinthians 10.4: "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds"; and more generally the whole armour of God in Ephesians 6? IDK...

Verse 1

Just a taste and your eyes will be opened gonna see everything like a God tonight (Genesis 3:5 has happened in that we have the knowledge (and ability) of good and evil at our fingertips.) you keep saying this over and over we're no longer slaves that you victimize (John 8:34-36) we came here to fight (1 Timothy 6:12 "Fight (ἀγωνίζου-struggle) the good fight (ἀγῶνα-struggle) of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."
This is a struggle against the world, the flesh, the devil and our own self-will. Fighting the good fight of faith is not so much hostile combat against a physical enemy, but rather rising to a challenge of the Christian life)

chorus

we won't just lay our weapons down (Ephesians 6:17 take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.) to your demands we won't be swayed so easily thrown by your wind (James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.") these battle lines were drawn since the beginning (Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. The seed of the woman refers either to humanity in general or more specifically to redeemed humanity beginning with Abel. Most agree it has its ultimate fulfillment in Christ.

The bruised heel of the seed of the woman refers to the crucifixion of Christ.

The bruised head of the serpent speaks to the final judgment of Satan.) / Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out upon the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.)
nothing left to decide there's nothing left to decide (Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave to him (for he is thy life, and the length of thy days) that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD swore to thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. / Joshua 24:15 15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”) verse 2 even if His hand doesn't save us we will never bow our face tonight (Daniel 3:17-18 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” ) since the second Adam has rescued we'll be looking to raise up when we die (1 Corinthians 15:42-52 self explanatory)

I like the verses mentioned. I read that they are influenced by secular bands such as Metallica, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Stryper .......Hummm

Every Christian has the gift of discernment. The questions to ask yourself before listening to ANY type of music are listed below. Does this band literally want to fight, encourage fighting, prescribe it? How are Christians interpreting these lyrics? What about the tone in his voice? Angry, joyful?

Here are some questions to ask yourself regarding Christian Metal/Death Metal LYRICS/Christian Gangsta Rap/Secular music:

  • Are these lyrics causing me to doubt my faith or the reality of God's sovereignty (Hebrews 11:1)? The Holy Spirit is always there to guide us in our choices—from music selections to life-altering decisions, and we can fully trust Him (John 14:26).
  • Do the words of this song cause me to dwell upon things of the world that draw me away from God's will for my life (Philippians 4:8)?
  • Is this song inspiring negative thoughts or words to work their way into my life (1 John 2:1)? If you're singing along to a song with profanity, will those words start working their way into your lexicon? If so, it's time to skip those words or skip the song entirely (Ephesians 4:29).
  • Does listening to this music hurt me or other people (Ephesians 4:31-32)? If you feel convicted against listening to a certain song or band, then you should obey the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19). To ignore godly conviction is a sin.

Responder states: "There is such a thing as righteous wrath... and guess what? Christian's are allowed to wield it. The key is to sin not in your "anger"."

A soft answer turns way wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
(
Proverbs 15:1)
Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare. (
Proverbs 22:23‒24)

There is no such thing as a genuine, clear, biblical definition of or justification for “righteous anger” unless the anger is from God or the His Son’s wrath.

"You are just prejudice" (Why are you judging me?). There is a time for everything under the sun (Ecc 3 I Believe) (READ ECC 7)... not all music needs to be joyfull (you are WRONG AGAIN: READ Psalm 95:2 WORSHIP MUSIC NEEDS TO BE JOYFUL NOT "GORSHIPFUL") especially if it has a message for it (As I have stated above, there is no such thing as "righteous anger" for humans. A bunch of personal opinions there. How many of the psalms are full of David's indignation against the wicked? How many psalms does he wish even Deatg on them?

There is nothing sinful about being angry at the dispicable murder of children. Nothing wrong with being righteously angry at the "christians" who hypocritically give God a bad name in the eyes of the unsaved. Righteous indigation is real whether you want to believe it or not.

The key is knowing when your anger is selfish and not fueled by the love of god.

I did not judge you my calling your prejudice. You proved it yourself. You are stuck in a belief (a very common thing in the church I might add) and will stick to it no matter the strings or scriptures you must manipulate to do so.

And the whole "goreship" title (a title that only that particular band uses) is basically a inside joke for Christian's fans of extreme music...... a joke an outsider of the genre and sub-culture (such as urself it seems) will not understand. So in all honesty anything any of could say is a waste of the time it takes to type.

All the "Anti rock" preacher have the same lines and disjointed scriptures.... Jeff Godwin anyone?? Lol

Yes, my friend, you are judging by calling me prejudice. "a joke an outsider of the genre and sub-culture (such as urself it seems) will not understand." Why are you making a false assumption? Have you actually listened to Impending Doom's lyrics?
"...a joke an outsider of the genre and sub-culture (such as urself it seems) will not understand." Making a false assumption? I know more than you think, brother.
"Goreship" is an inside joke? Almost sounds like mocking to me just like how you are mocking me now? There is no such thing as righteous anger for a human, my friend. It is not biblical. It is not a command to be angry but a permissive imperative: Eph 4:31. Only Jesus (God) has righteous anger. OT/NT God Bless. There is no room for anger in worship music. Psalms: "..sing to the Lord and have joy in your heart..." not anger ("feel my wrath") in your heart.
"How many of the psalms are full of David's indignation against the wicked? How many psalms does he wish even Deatg on them?"
Ephesians 4:26 comes from Psalm 4:4: Where is "righteous" anger being prescribed here? IT IS NOT "ragaz" in Hebrew means "to tremble" Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Regarding Psalm 4:4 The fear of the LORD (yirat Adonai) induces reverence and awe, which should be prevalent in the heart of those who call themselves Jews. The prospect of sin should cause us to tremble, and the bitterness of past failures should cause us to be shaken. The sin of which David refers is from v1, seeking falsehood. Quietude and honest reflection will reveal the truth of David's words to his enemies. "be silent!" The imperative means to be "frozen" still, not merely to cease from speaking. This is perhaps the strongest word David could have used.

There IS such a thing as human anger for it is inevitable (NOT COMMANDED but permissive) HOWEVER, there is NO BIBLICAL BASIS FOR "Righteous anger" among humans and I have pointed out verses NOT OPINIONS. Give me passages for human "righteous anger".
Scriptures rarely portray human anger as righteous . . . . consider this: that Paul intends [with the use of “be angry,”
ὀργίζεσθε] “tremble” in accord with [Psalm 4:4’s] original meaning; that is, fear the wrath of God in such a way that you deal with the cause of sin and anger in the church community.”

Mocking me the way you do is totally unacceptable and quite mean but I still love you. Why are you being mean? I answer you with kindness and what do you do in return? I'm sure you have heard of "Do unto others as they would do unto you"?

"All the "Anti rock" preacher have the same lines and disjointed scriptures.... Jeff Godwin anyone?? Lol" Why do you continue to mock me? Do you know who else mocked Jesus and the apostles? Keep laughing all you want. Do you know what the Bible says about mocking others? It is not at all recommended to use the eisegetical approach to Scripture.

Yes, my friend, you are judging by calling me prejudice. "a joke an outsider of the genre and sub-culture (such as urself it seems) will not understand." Why are you making a false assumption? Have you actually listened to Impending Doom lyrics?
"Goreship" is an inside joke? Almost sounds like mocking to me just like how you are mocking me now? There is no such thing as righteous anger for a human, my friend. It is not biblical. It is not a command to be angry but a permissive imperative: Eph 4:31. Only Jesus (God) has righteous anger. OT/NT God Bless. There is no room for anger in worship music. Psalms: "..sing to the Lord and have joy in your heart..." not anger ("feel my wrath") in your heart. Attacking me the way you do is totally unacceptable and quite mean but I still love you.

I'm not attacking you.. and yes I love Impending Dooms lyrics from a biblical point of view.

You can say I am mocking you, but I am really just tired of the assumptions and twisting the "anti rock" people make and do.. You say goreship is not an inside joke becuase to you "it sounds like mocking".... as I said judgments from someone outside of the subculture. You wont get it and it's fine. But why is it when many Christian's dont like something they have to vilify and somehow prove that it is wrong? It's like the church has the "If I dont like it no one can" mentality... I am not talking about any obvious sins the bible 100% calls out but preferences.

You talk about me "judging you". What about how you are actually judging these artists? Some of whom are brothers in the Lord. The lead vocalist of Impending Doom is passionate about his faith and speaks openly (not just in his music)..

Many of us Christian metalheads are "extreme" people people that grew up under "extreme" circumstances and many of whomever have suffered ridicule and have been austriziced and judged. When we become Christian's we be "Extereme christians" whome the Lord is able to use in "Extreme" ways. Even when apposed by the church.
