What's on your mind?

A few of you might possibly remember my talking about the dachshund who lives next door to my mother's house in Houston, Angel, since I often babysat Angel while I lived there the last few years. I am sorry to announce that she died this morning.

What's on your mind?

She was almost 16, I believe. But fortunately she did not appear to suffer long from her infection. She was a great little dog. We will all miss her.

This song just suddenly came to mind a while ago, from the one time I saw maybe half of the live-action movie as a child. I don't think I ever really forgot it, but since the chorus part that I distinctly remember has obviously become such an earworm, I had to try to look it up on YT to hear the full song.


... It only seems like the natural reaction is to utterly despise the Pippi Longstocking theme song, especially when you see her acting so ridiculous like demonically spinning around way too fast for a human being with a broom held like a propeller over her head in order to keep a homemade airplane afloat onscreen all the while, but ... I just can't hate it. Nor can I fairly say that I actually like it, certainly not to where I can see myself wanting to hear the song again anytime soon. .... Ugh.


Say, @sunshineforJesus , I know for certain that you are around my age since you just mentioned your birthday being today, without my going and creeping on anyone else's CF profiles , so did you see this movie and remember the theme song at all as a kid?

Watching Game of Thrones again... ugh. It can be satisfying yet gut wrenching all over again.

I felt called back to this forum to make more positive contributions. When I first signed up, I was a complete utter mess. However, thanks to this forum and the church I'm at, I feel a heck of a lot better now and I finally have new direction in my life. I've been spiritually wandering in the desert for ten years and now the Lord has brought me new hope in life!

After this corona virus pandemic is over, I'm going to pursue an education through online courses. Afterwards I'm going to get a job that requires more brainpower than brawn. I'm also kissing celibacy goodbye and I am now open to dating again. I'm realizing that my disability does not have to define me anymore and with God, all things are possible.

Once again, I apologize for my past behavior. You were all witnessing the decline of my mental health but now I feel great and full of purpose again. I'm hoping now is a good time to come back and get a fresh start.

Today my favorite radio, Station STAR 99.1 fm, did a facebook live and they gave me a shout out. It was exciting. The question was What is essential to you?

Well, I think I just had my first official sitcom-worthy moment in life.

I was getting the sangria out of the fridge in hopes of potentially taking the edge off of the difficult night I had at work ... and as I closed the door, a glass jar of olive oil fell off the top of the fridge, struck the top of my head, knocking me silly for a few seconds, and broke as it continued on its way down and hit the floor. .... Owwww?


Well, at least it didn't actually break on my skull, because that would have been a more serious injury, then. As it is, I was only dazed for a moment or two. And thankfully didn't cut my feet on any of the glass on the floor as I retreated backwards out of the kitchen to find something to clean it up.

Actually, much as it startled and had me frozen with pain, at first, I probably wouldn't have been that surprised to see cartoon stars or fluttering birds around my vision for a bit. ^-^

By the way, Wayholk, I just remembered something. By any chance do you still have that cartoon you once drew where you and Multifavs had a rap battle?
