The Earth will Burn: 2 Peter 3:7, Isaiah 66:15-16, Zephaniah 3:8, Isaiah 33:10-12, +

In ancient times, God promised to Noah that He would never again destroy the earth with a flood. Genesis 9:11 But we see in Deuteronomy 32:34-35 & 22, God has kept in His storehouse a judgement of fire prepared and ready for His Day of vengeance. As we are once again ‘as in the days of Noah’, this terrible and devastating Day of fires, storms and earthquakes will soon strike the world, it will be the next prophesied event that will commence all that must happen, leading up to the Return of Jesus for His Millennial reign.

Psalms 46:1-11 The Lord is our refuge and stronghold, He will help us in trouble, so we are not afraid when the earth is shaking and the mountains move; when the waves of the sea roar and the earth is quaking before the Lords majesty.
Nations are in an uproar and kingdoms fall when the Lord thunders; the earth burns.

Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolation He has brought on the earth. He makes wars to cease throughout the world, He breaks the bow, snaps the spear and burns the chariots in the fire.
There is a river whose flow brings joy to the city of God, the holy Place of the Most High. The Lord is within her, she will not be overthrown and at the break of Day, He will come to her aid.
Be still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations and revered throughout the world. The Lord Almighty is with us, the God of Jacob is our Rock.

This describes how the Lord will judge and punish the nations and ‘the desolation He will bring to the earth’. He will destroy all weapons of war and military forces will be neutralized or wiped out, but the Lord promises ‘to be a refuge’ to His people, when at the ‘break of day, the sea roars, the earth quakes and burns’. It is His great Day of vengeance and wrath, a massive explosion of the suns surface that will bring about all the vividly described effects. We are warned to be prepared for that terrible Day, but our only true protection will be our faith and trust in the Lord. Isaiah 30:15 & 18

Isaiah 9:18-19 The ungodly will be set ablaze, as a fire that consumes briars and thorns. It sets the forests on fire and all is wrapped in a pall of smoke.

The land is scorched by the fury of the Lord and the people will be fuel for the fire. Ezekiel 21:1-7, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Romans 1:18, Hebrews 10:27

Psalms 50:3-5 The Lord is coming and will not remain silent. A consuming fire runs ahead of Him and all around a great storm rages. He calls to the heavens above and the earth below, that He may judge His people.
Gather to Me, My loyal servants, those who have made a Covenant with Me by sacrifice. 1 Peter 3:17

This is not the Return of Jesus in His glory, that cannot happen until the Anti-Christ is revealed. 2 Thess. 2:3 It will be the Lord’s judgement and punishment of the nations, Psalms 110:5-6, Habakkuk 3:12, and all the world will be affected. It will be triggered by an attack on the State of Israel by an Islamic confederation. Psalms 83

The Lord’s people will be tested, Jeremiah 46:27-28, 1 Peter 4:17 & 12 and those who are His ‘loyal servants’, will be protected. Zechariah 9:15-16, Joel 3:16, Psalms 37:9, Zephaniah 2:3, 2 Thessalonians 1:6-10

It will happen without question. As to how soon, that's totally up in the air. How do you think He will fry everything, any thoughts ?

It doesn't say anything about colonisation. If we got our heads down, and worked hard now on improving our spacecraft, then we could - in theory, override it. It clearly says Earth, not Kepler-186f...

The luminosity of the sun will start to get too intense for life on Earth very soon, anyway (relatively speaking). The planet has already had its best day. But that does mean that Mars nudges a little more into the habitable zone.

Anyway, everything is up to interpretation, and I MEAN everything.

Personally, I think that this life on Earth (or any planet) is just a meal ticket. It's the cross that I'm eternally focused on.

God will not destroy the Earth - He will renew, transform, and redeem it. I do not dispute that there will be judgement and even fire. But it will be a purifying fire, not a destructive fire.

I'm not really disagreeing, but when you say, 'until the antichrist is revealed', wouldn't you agree that the antichrist is revealed to the faithful for a span of time before the antichrist is revealed to the unfaithful / deceived?

Yes, maybe we will realize what he, the leader of the One World Govt, is before the ungodly peoples.

I showed what the Lord will use in the OP..
A Coronal Mass Ejection, an explosion of the suns surface, is the only thing that will literally cause all of the prophesied effects of the great and terrible Day of the Lords fiery wrath.

As for how soon; what will trigger the Lord into taking action, will be an attack by Iran and all the Islamic peoples, upon Israel. The Lord will not allow nukes to pollute the holy Land. Psalms 7:12-16
This could happen at anytime, Iran and her proxies are well armed and ready, just awaiting the right moment. Psalms 83

In Romans 8, Paul writes this:

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

Now, this is a statement about the future - how can this be reconciled with the view that God will burn the earth to cinders. No, creation has been liberated from corruption.

Will God toss his created world - declared to very good - into the trash can?

This idea simply makes no sense in the broader Biblical narrative.

The Lords Day of fiery wrath does not totally burn all the earth. It is not the start of the new earth, to happen after the Millennium.
If you cared to read the many prophesies about that Day, it will soon be apparent that; most people will survive. It will set the scene for all that must take place before Jesus Returns.

I know history quite well and nothing that happened in the past matches what the Bible Prophets say will happen at the end of this age.

And they never will - I politely suggest you do not understand how Jews used the language of cosmic collapse as a metaphor for sociopolitical change: such texts were never intended to be taken literally.

You and I have danced this dance before.

Example: Isaiah writes:

10For the stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not flash forth their light;
The sun will be dark when it rises
And the moon will not shed its light

What was going on? Look at the context - Babylon was being destroyed, never to be rebuilt. No stars fell. And the moon was not darkened.

We are talking about the coming of the Lord, and the destruction that accompanies His return. Whatever way you look at it, this has not happened yet.

Here is what will take place during the great tribulation, and the causes as given in Revelation.

These trumpet judgements appears to be asteroids striking the earth.

Revelation 8:7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

This vial judgement appears to be a unequaled global earthquake

17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

20 And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

This judgment appears to be global unmatched hailstorms.

21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Keras, the world will be intact before the trumpet judgments and the vials of God's wrath take place. Those judgments don't begin until the middle of the 7 years.

It also says "and they shall by no means escape" so you can forget running to another planet.

Human history has been 6,000 years. We have come a long way in that time. What is the time frame for the sun to get too intense? Millions of years? Billions?

There are many antichrists and false prophets, so in that respect, yes, there are those who can discern. But this expression "until the antichrist is revealed" I take to mean that this is when the antichrist is resuscitated and the spirit of Nero enters him. Prior to that you wouldn't know who he is except for the credentials: Prince of Greece, Military man and interested in architecture, particularly Jewish temple.
