Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:20-21

So all I can do is keep asking my Lord to come soon and take me where my heart is also. It’s with Him and He is in heaven. He is also with me but my heart is with Him. My heart, my heart..is my Lord, my Lord.

One of the earliest of prophecies....

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints... - Jude 1:14

...and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years - Revelation 20:4

Maybe we will be able to come back to earth and reign with Christ a thousand years!

In a sense don't you think Christians can be too heavenly minded that they're no earthly good?

I mean, He told us to stay busy. I, for one, don't want to be too occupied with wanting to go to glory or desiring Christ to come back that I'm not fulfilling the mandate of releasing and bringing Heaven here.

Ephesians 1 is a great chapter, about the heavenly character of the church (chapter 1.3; also chapter 2.6).

It's only by being heavenly minded by God's grace that the believer can ever do anything lasting and God approved while on this earthly pilgrimage.

I agree. I just think very few of us are called to only meditate on God but do little with our faith.

I agree. That is possible.

I mean, He told us to stay busy. I, for one, don't want to be too occupied with wanting to go to glory or desiring Christ to come back that I'm not fulfilling the mandate of releasing and bringing Heaven here.

That’s right. We should be occupied with fulfilling that mandate given to us while we also look forward to the heavenly kingdom.

Paul said this in his letter to Philippians (1:23) I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better indeed.
