Husband is turning 30 tomorrow... I’m not ready for us to be 30.
LOL!! I turn 65 on Saturday. And I WAS supposed to be preaching the sermon, but with the congregation shut down I am not sure what will be happening.

We are still in operations as we are considered essential but I have stepped down from my leadership positions for a few months while I get my mental and emotional health under control.

This is my first night on here and my first post on the Christian forums. I am so so sad. I had been a widow on my own for a while, which was difficult. But then last year in 2019 I married an old friend who is a UK citizen. I have been back-and-forth over there many times. But our plan was to live here in the US because I have a house, pets, young adult children who still need me around because their dad is gone, and my parents are all in their mid to late 80s so I am poised to help them as well. Anyway, we were a good halfway through the immigration process and then this virus crisis hit. So now not only am I no longer allowed to go over there and visit him, but the immigration process has come to a screeching halt. My lawyer had done a great job up until that point of expediting things because I have become disabled, legally blind and several other things. I just don’t know what to do. It’s like I have a husband but I don’t have a husband. We have no idea how long it will be until the immigration services is back up and running. And of course we have no idea when borders will be open again to other countries. The both of us are completely devastated and bereft :(

Thinking of you and will include you in my prayers today. God bless.

I am sorry for how this has affected you. I didn't think of how it affects immigration. It is always difficult dealing with the unknown and things that are out of our control. Thinking of you.

Please don’t feel that way. You have no concept of how young you really still are. Now when you turn 60 as I did on my last birthday, then it can niggle at you a little bit, LOL.

Thank you for your kind words. We have no idea what the future holds or how long until we see each other again. It’s soul-destroying.

That awkward moment when you look at all the different forums under Life Stages, then notice there's one for millennials, then you look at the year of birth that counts as a millennial, and you realize you fall into that category! :aarh::ahah:
