Here's the ugly truth: most Americans who are victims of sex trafficking come from our nation's own foster care system. It's a deeply broken system that leaves thousands vulnerable to pimps as children and grooms them for the illegal sex trade as young adults.

We have failed our children by not fixing the systemic failures that have allowed this to happen for decades.

We have set up a system to sex traffic American children

This is outrageous.

In 2012, Connecticut police rescued 88 children from sex trafficking; 86 were from the child welfare system. And even more alarming: the FBI discovered in a 2014 nationwide raid that many foster children rescued from sex traffickers, including children as young as 11, were never reported missing by child welfare authorities.

((( Pimps )))
I've seen many, many times over what these slimeballs can do to sweet innocent girls. Saved one once. Pimps get violent if you attempt to take away their main source of monies made from prostitution.

They are starting to give convicted pimps more time in prison if caught. Seems 10 to 20 years with no early release should fit the crime?

If they don't Repent before dieing
it will be a very rough ending for them.

Mark 9:42

I wonder if the system is to blame.

Sinners found everywhere.

Using and abusing others.
I've noticed that with these types
in time God brings them down
way down.

It's a shame how many wrecked lives pimps leave behind. Most of these girls end up heavily addicted and many will die early and some end up murdered.
The few that make it to treatment and sobriety have a real hard time getting a real life back together.

God as always does call some out.

Perhaps the system should be pushed into addressing this problem.

Yes. USA have have an incredibly inflated value of money and a large income inequality so that law enforcement and gov't officials can be easily bribed.

And then the problem with fraternities....

Fraternities should be abolished, declared illegal. These are often responsible for coverups in crimes. Protection of fraternity member is considered more important than upholding justice.

Those two things are main reasons for corruption in the system and injustice.

There must be a way to protect foster children. The foster care system is failing these kids.

Correlation is not causation. Foster kids are the throw-away-kids of our society. These kids entered the foster care system because their parents failed them first. When you are abused and neglected you feel no one values you...right up until the flashy guy with all the money starts buying you things, tells you you're pretty, and then turns you out. The foster care system is just one link in a chain begun long before.

The problem is the kinds of oaths. Oaths are effectively morally distorting. The intensity in "initiations" has the same effect. It has been seen to pull down the quality of practice of whom had the potential to become excellent professionials. Otherwise, looking after our fellows is good.

Using one's possibilities to damage the weak isn't truly looking after each other. One day some of those types will find they "can't" stop because they hold each other in a bind.

A variation on this manifestion is the "church within a church" phenomenon. All kinds of pincer movements and "dialectics" are based on a similar principle.

that bill was signed into law by trump in 2018, it was a bipartisan bill that had support from both sides. I am glad it was passed.

Many people know that some in authority know. Beyond a point it is natural to assume something is going to be done.

This is why God wants Christians to continually intercede that spokes don't somehow get put in the works so that action runs out of steam. It is foremost, not only flesh and blood, but the destroyer that destroys little ones.

It's like drug trafficking, often some head officials are involved in it, so it's difficult to get things off the ground in fighting it. We have a very corrupt system. But we aren't alone, it's actually world wide, this thing is huge. If they " honestly" without cover up rip it apart from the top down you would see some very surprising individuals go down with it. And yes indeed kids go missing in the 11-12 yo bracket. By the way more kids go missing in a year than people covid 19 is likely to kill this year !! If you chose ( not many do) to fight the child abuse it could be as deadly to you as the illness. It's a very rough trade, well organized and goes well beyond the corner pimp.

My parents were foster parents for a while, and though they did their best, the kids were generally pretty disturbed when my parents got them and just as disturbed when those kids reached adulthood and left to become prostitutes. It was frustrating beyond belief for them to invest so much time and effort into these kids, only to have them kick the dirt off of their shoes and slide right into the very same life that their parents knew.

The problem is that the government running these foster care is also corrupt. Those running these foster care has connections high up or connected to organized crime groups who in turn have connections in the government.

And the government is run by fraternity groups who tend to cover each other, even if it means breaking the laws.

Take it by the source.

The foster carers should do a working with children police check. Pimps using underage girls in the U.S. now, when caught get a life sentence. Girls find help from organizations like wellspring living.

The sexualization of children in the media and culture continues to accelerate. Cinema was a beachhead, then TV, and now the internet.

The family and the church were the bulwarks against that, and accordingly they have been under attack and are flailing. So the government steps in with its own social welfare programs. But government is a poor substitute for family and church.

Even the family and the church now are seriously corrupted. Pastoral abuse is high and on the rise, even in what should be the most stable and mature manifestation of ekklesia, the RCC. Once the cultural institutions are gone, we are in danger of complete collapse. It then falls to the intercessions of the faithful remnant of God, according to 2Chr 7.14..

This needs to be rooted out, and soon. I believe it will be.

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction." - Mal 4:6 ESV
