5g, a form of radiation that is far greater than background radiation that we have lived with for a hundred thousand years, and which causes oxygen molecules to become excited and there is some evidence that it damages DNA, even causing cancer in mice.

So now we have two straw men arguments, 5G caused Coronavirus (pretty absurd though I suppose the random mutation of DNA in a virus could have caused it and who is to say what caused that) and 5G transmits it. Neither of these are genuine concerns. Simply a distraction which will cause those who hear it to dismiss all concerns about 5G as paranoid conspiracy theories.

Once again, what is the concern. It is powerful radiation. If you have a 5G phone you hold this radiation next to your brain. If your computer or car use it you are surrounded by this all the time. As you walk down the street in a city you are bombarded with this radiation. Now the human body and DNA in particular is designed to handle low levels of radiation. The question is if these significantly higher levels are harmful.

Second concern, it is extremely easy for large corporations with billions to spend on advertising and marketing to pay for research and manipulate the results. We have seen this again, and again, and again by corporations hiding things that contain significant liability to them. Just look at the NFL and CTE, or Dupont and Teflon, or cigarette manufacturers, or the Catholic church and abuse by priests, etc. The only way to combat this is to demand that any published research they provide be replicable by independent third parties. That is supposed to be how science works.

New Research Links Air Pollution to Higher Coronavirus Death Rates

New Research Links Air Pollution to Higher Coronavirus Death Rates

In an analysis of 3,080 U.S. counties, researchers at the Harvard University T.H. Chan School of Public Health found that higher levels of the tiny, dangerous particles in air known as PM 2.5 were associated with higher death rates from the disease.

For weeks, public health officials have surmised a link between dirty air and death or serious illness from COVID-19, which is caused by the coronavirus. The Harvard analysis is the first nationwide study to show a statistical link, revealing a “large overlap” between COVID-19 deaths and other diseases associated with long-term exposure to fine particulate matter.

“The results of this paper suggest that long-term exposure to air pollution increases vulnerability to experiencing the most severe COVID-19 outcomes,” the authors wrote.

This article talks about a link between long-term exposure to particulate air pollution and COVID-19 death rates.

It has nothing to do with 5G.

Covid19 appears to kill people by affecting their lungs. It is not clear if it is pneumonia or more akin to altitude sickness where the body is not able to absorb oxygen. This air pollution resulting in a higher death rate is evidence that this is the key issue. The legitimate concern about 5G is that it might make it harder for the lungs to absorb oxygen. That is what needs to be studied.

I’ll stick with the reliable sources. But thanks anyway.
Oh, you obviously didn't read my post. You know that scientific finding is reliable if it is replicable by an independent third party. That is what I am asking for and it is also what is lacking in almost all corporate sponsored and published research. The Simpson's paradox is just one way they can manipulate legitimate data to give a distorted conclusion.

So far, on this thread you've claimed the following:
  • 5G fries your brain
  • 5G causes coronavirus
  • 5G causes random mutation of DNA
  • 5G (and other) businesses are flooding research publications with thousands of non-replicable studies masking the negative effects of 5G
To further muddy the water you've thrown in an article on the link between Covid 19 deaths and particulate air pollution - with no reference to 5G.

Can I respectfully suggest you take a deep breath, decide which conspiracy theory you wish to go with and then start your own thread?

Actually I have quoted and referenced a Scientific American article when asked for peer reviewed research because this article reference peer reviewed research. I was simply responding to a poster.

Second, my reference to the link between air pollution and deaths with Covid19 was to respond to the straw man arguments about 5G causing Covid19.

Finally, I have not presented any conspiracy theory. All I have said is that a $2.2 trillion dollar investment is a motive to lie, and they also have the means to lie. Therefore I would like to make sure that any research we see published on this be replicated by independent 3rd party. Seems like a very reasonable request. Not unlike the request for peer reviewed research.

I do not think Christians should entertain this rubbish. But that’s just me I guess.
I find conspiracy theories just as odd and funny as those who are puritanical toward them.

Some, perhaps most, conspiracy theories are harmless. Some, like the stuff floating around about the virus, are dangerous since they can undermine the truth about a problem and result in people acting against their own best interests. Consequences can include social division and loss of confidence in legitimate media, government and science. Sometimes consequences include death.

The rise of conspiracy theories and the, often intentional, manufacturing of fake information, is a recognised and serious problem. This is why social media platforms are attempting to block out the most obvious 'fake news'.

I agree that conspiracy theories can be odd and funny, but there are times when we need to be a little puritanical about the truth.

Not everyone finds the humor and entertainment is conspiracy theories.

Neglecting to see it feeds a weakness and fear within others. This isn’t Harry Potter. It feeds paranoia and inspires some to do dangerous things. Make excuses all you want but it is a cultish mentality. This is not for fun unless you are inconsiderate of others and the truth. I have seen the consequences of this so-called entertainment up close and personal. This stuff is obscene. Just like all the conspiracy theories against Jewish people were obscene and we saw the consequences of that. Which btw- Icke claims was overblown if it happened at all. According to him, he that that holds all this special knowledge. Entertainment? Really? I don’t think so. Icke is feasting on this pandemic and people keep feeding him. Because it is so fun, odd, and entertaining. Unless you want to talk about those that believe this trash.

Social media blocking out the so called "fake news" is contrary to freedom of speech. That in itself is very dangerous.

Who gets to decide what is fake news? Just watch CNN, Fox news and MSNBC and others... all report very different views... we need this... Start censorship and you no longer have freedom of speech.

People who entertain and research conspiracy theories are a great necessity... whether they are right or wrong.. they keep the balance.

The alternative is the exact thing that happened in Nazi Germany.

It also creates a slippery slope for the removal of religion and the freedoms that are necessary there.

All truth is not as black and white as "fire is hot" and "water is wet"... There is a lot of things, today that are based on models and predictive reasoning.. that may or may not be right...

Silencing alternate opinions......... is not good in any way.

Conspiracy theories don't arise from someone eating a large pizza with anchovies just before bed and dreaming it all up.

They are based on real people putting facts and predictions together.

Many so called "conspiracy theories" turned out to be fact. 12 Crazy Conspiracy Theories That Actually Turned Out to Be True

They look obvious now.. but before they were exposes.. people took a lot of heat for even suggesting these ideas....

The only difference between a conspiracy theory and a true fact is a couple of solid pieces of evidence. These are usually hard to find because, by nature, this evidence is being hidden on purpose and the powerful people behind it are doing their best to keep a real true event.... hidden.

So, thank God for those who have the fortitude to go out on a limb and try to expose the corruption and lies that the rest of the population have no desire to seek out... and just follow along where the river takes them... swallowing every little bit of information that they are fed.
