Anywayyyy, about the Mormon Gods... :|
(Old Testament | Psalms 82:6)

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
(New Testament | John 10:33 - 36)

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

I would say there are some corrections that should be made to this post. First we are not Motmons (sic) but members of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. We are to pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, but we can pray to Jesus Christ. There is no doctrine that states that the Father has more than one wife. I know of no doctrine that states that the Holy Ghost is less than or greater than Jesus Christ. Other things you have said are speculative and not doctrine. For instance "His goddess wife (wives) was sealed to him for time and eternity in a temple on another planet."

There is no doctrine period about heavenly Father's relations with his spouse. So why should you suppose, given that god allowed it at times for certain people in history, that heavenly Father doesnt have more than one wife? It's not an unreasonable assertion. Maybe one wife isn't enough for him, he is God after all.

First mention of humans becoming gods in the bible and the only one

Genesis 3:4-6 King James Version (KJV)
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

it is a lie from the father of lies

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it

I like your picture. Very nice. What we have here is a half truth. Farther down we see this:

(Old Testament | Genesis 3:22)

22 ¶ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Man has a divine nature:

(New Testament | 2 Peter 1:4)

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

It is our duty to become equal to God:

(New Testament | Philippians 2:5 - 6)

5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

(New Testament | Matthew 5:48)

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Jesus knew our potential:

(New Testament | John 10:34 - 35)

34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

God the father was never human. Neither human can become equal to him. If this was so he can create sex slaves. God will never allow this. All marriage is coming from God.
How much do we really know about God the Father. He has appeared 4-5 times in the 6,000 year history of the earth. Each time he appears it is to introduce his Son Jesus Christ and generally says something like: This is my beloved Son, hear him.

So not a lot of information about Jesus's God and Father (John 20:17)

However, there is a lot of information about God the Father's Son, Jesus Christ. We know this:
1) Jesus was born from a human by the name of Mary. So he had human blood flowing through his veins. And human dna. IOW Jesus was 100% human.

2) Jesus's Father was God the Father, and was the only begotten Son of God the Father.

3) Jesus was born, grew up, ministered, and then died on the cross, similar to all other humans. Except he had the power given to him by his Father to lay down his life when he died, rather than his life being taken. But he did experience the same death process that humans did.

4) Jesus was resurrected with a body of flesh and bone and spirit. (Luke 24:36-43) A glorified, exalted, perfect, indestructible, immortal body. But nonetheless a body of flesh and bone and spirit, by which he sits on the right hand of his Father in heaven awaiting his second coming.

5) Jesus was the exact duplicate of his Father (God the Father) (Hebrews 1:3) That means if you were to ask Jesus to show us the Father, he would say to you,"if ye see me, ye see the Father". IOW, Jesus looks just like the Father and if you see Jesus you are in reality seeing the Father. They are in essence twinlike. This is also how we know the make up and nature of God the Father.
Jesus (in his body of flesh and bones and spirit) is sitting next to his Father in Heaven (who also has a body of flesh and bone and spirit).

6) Jesus only did those things that he saw his Father do. (John 5:19-21) The question is: When did the Father do the things that Jesus was doing on earth? The Father showeth Jesus all that he had done. How exactly did he show Jesus how to be crucified on the cross? We believe Jesus saw what his Father had already gone through and it was this way that the Father taught Jesus what he had to do.

Therefore we believe that God the Father at one time, was as human as his Son Jesus was.
Therefore we believe that God the Father has an exalted body of flesh and bone and spirit, just like his Son Jesus Christ has.

They are of the same essence, but are 3 distinct and separate hypostases.

Yah--well, you believe wrong. The Father was never human. Humans do not become God. A pile of dust "became" a living soul. A pile of dust was not given a soul from some spirit child that existed from eternity.

1Ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Jesus never saw His Father on a cross---Jesus got His information on who He was by reading the scriptures and what His parents and the Holy Spirit told Him. It is through the reading of Daniel that He knew when He would be anointed and when He would die---that is why He was saying the time is not yet a few times. Nothing states that He had any recollection of what He did in heaven before His incarnation. His was a loi9fe of faith in His Father. He did His will, He was in communication with Him. For His Father to have been human before He became God would necessitate having a father also. And that father would have had to be god---

Isa_43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Jesus became human, but He was God with the Father before the incarnation. JS was totally and completely wrong on everything. He never saw God, never spoke to Him, and John the Baptist gave Him nothing. Moroni was an angel of light -- that is true---

2Co_11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Read verse 22 if Genesis 3, and The Lord God confirms what the devil told Adam and Eve is true, in almost the exact same verbiage. Are we OK now, if the Lord God says it?

How did the pile of dust become a living soul? It was fashioned into a man and then God breathed his spirit into the man and he became a living soul. It is "spirit" that animates the human soul. And if we have some of God's breath in us then we are part of him and are divine gods in embryo. The stuff that animates us is straight from God's body.

JS learned how to distinguish a false angel from a real angel from God. First there is a different glow and feeling. Second there is a different physical presence. One has tangible assets (true angels), the other is just spirit with no physical assets.

How did Jesus see what the Father did? How did the Father show Jesus what he did?
(John 5:19-21) Interesting scripture. How did God the Father show his Son Jesus Christ what to do? The scripture says that Jesus was shown all things that the Father did, and Jesus could do nothing except what he saw the Father do.
This is not some concept you can just throw away and say you guys are crazy. I am sure you have read them many times and the reality of what they are saying went right over your head. And the reality of what general Christians will read and try to comment on goes right over their heads too, so the commentaries will all be vague and non committal, not knowing quite what do with them. God shows Jesus what he did, and Jesus is suppose to follow in his footsteps, what is John trying to tell us here? I duh know, lets keep reading?

Spirit means breath. Same breath He gave to all living things. Unless you are under the belief that there were the spirits of all animals in heaven before they existed also.

Gen_2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Gen_6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
Gen_7:15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
Gen_7:22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
2Sa_22:16 And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

God gave His methods for detecting a false spirit---

Isa_8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Everything Moroni said is against the word of God. As soon as the angel said that the word of God was corrupted JS should have run. We test the spirits by what the bible says, not the other way around.

And yes, I've read the passage many times and never will come up with what you JS thinks it means. Jesus and the Father were of one accord.

When and where did his Father do these things that Jesus saw him do. Nobody has an answer for that, not even JS. That is not given to us nor is it necessary to know, only that he did.

As Paul has said, there are many gods, but for us there is only 1 God whom we worship. We say the same thing. IOW we are only concerned with God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. We do not spend time trying to figure out any other gods. God is not going to let us in on his vast universe of living and breathing souls until we are resurrected and in the Celestial kingdom and there we will learn all that he knows and will be like Him.

So relax and just worry about our God. Seriously, we cannot even get a handle on Him, let alone others.

Again, are you saying that a mouse is a god in embryo? It is the same breath that went to all living things. Is a caterpillar a god in embryo? The whole purpose of the bible is to let us know who God is. This is how we get to know Him. This has to do with our salvation. It is not a matter of just relax and enjoy the ride. This is His word. It is what He left for us to follow, it unveils His character and reveals to us what we are to strive to be like Him in character. Top twist His word is to twist His character and to mislead us. God is not going to let that happen. He preserved His word through the dark ages, He has always maintained a remnant that kept it secure.

Exo 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

This means a lot more than using His name as a flippant curse word---it means we do not take His character and malign it, make into something it isn't, to in any way, alter who He is.

So are you saying that it was a mistake that you guys called yourselves Mormons for decades? I don't understand how that can be when you have such verses in your book that stress the name of the religion. That's not a small oversight.

Anyway, I don't know why you can't be both. Use your own name internally to your heart's content, but others will still know and use the Mormon name because, again, the world doesn't listen to your leaders and is likely never going to follow their guidelines about the name (outside of probably some media outlets who are reporting on the name 'change'). "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" is not only a mouthful, but calling it that betrays an ecclesiological and theological bias that many Christians object to. For example I myself refuse to even call it a church, on those very same grounds (i.e., churches are places of Christian worship of the Christian God, and as you have said in another post, you do not believe in the Christian God; because that is the case in your religion, you can't be a church). So again, 'Mormon' is a much more value-neutral term than what I would call your religion if we were currently involved in theological discussion, and yet it is taken as some kind of affront because your leaders have decided to be upset about it recently, after a long period of not only accepting the Mormon name but using it in their promotional and evangelistic materials.

It doesn't make sense. "Stop calling us this thing we were happy being called and calling ourselves six years ago!"

The Mormons want to emphasize the words 'Jesus Christ' in their name to continue to pretend
they have a Christian doctrine. The word Mormon has accumulated a bit of negativity with stories about Mormon polygamy and the Mormon Massacure, Mormonism, etc. But what are they called: LDS....Latter Day Saints....which means the doctrine of Joseph Smith, Jr... There is no other 'acronym' that fits...it is either LDS or Mormons.
