I'm one who has a sense for this as well and I've sensed it deepening. Even had a couple half dream/visions and I'm not alone. So I can only agree unfortunately. We really need to be diligent in staying one on one and face to face with God in this time.

Satan saves his absolute hardest kicking blows for when we are down. But he has no teeth we overcome him by pleading the blood of Christ and the name of Christ. Been there done that. I see people in these forums hanging on every word of the news these days but that's not where our security is. We should be, figuratively speaking, on our faces praying before our Holy and everlasting God. Our assurance is in Him. Indeed the demonic realm is active but so are hosts of holy angels !

Interesting and sad about seminaries aborting good priest candidates.

(Some protestant friends remarked to me some protestant churches even abort good hearted potential lay joiners.)

We were ostensibly a catholic family but none of my preceding two generations (the newcomers to it) had had much instruction and in my childhood my then diocese turned into a green field one and we kept being told we would be told later what to believe and how to do anything, and we never were.

I have learned the hard way to become allergic to mental passivity.

Now I insist on finding out & deciding what to believe because I am valuable enough and time short enough.

Feels like when God punished Israel for worshiping idols. Suddenly this pachamama demon comes on the scene and less than two months later this disease crops up; four months later it's worldwide with 64,000 dead and counting. Sounds insignificant compared to the Spanish Flu or Black Plague, but the way the ground has shifted under everyone's feet in a matter of weeks gives it a different animus.

It certainty does feel like something with the pandemic and the earthquakes too

We placed our trust in our finances, our jobs and our health. This plague came about soon enough to remind me that I walked in a wrong direction.
Ive been monitoring my health like my life depended on it, and I've been planning my future as if God was just an idea of some sort.

I placed God in second place, he was a spectator and i was the main event. This plague has been a real blessing in disguise for me. Ive yet to fall ill, but even if I do, and even if I die, Ill be far more ready to stand before the Lord than id been without this crisis.

My life will end someday. If not due to this virus it will someday due to something else. Ive been purged and forced to reconsider my priorities. God comes first and so it shall be forever.

Everything will eventually pass, but the Lord will forever be my light and my salvation.
Satan only win those over who are clinging to their own egos and their own self. Satan already had his field day before this hit, and continues to work in the midst of this plague.
That being said, the plague itself is not Satans big opportunity, but rather a window of mercy by our Lord. He is reminding the entire world that life on earth is temporary.

He has enforced lent upon the entire face of the earth. Lets make this the greatest and most passionate lent ever! Life itself is nowhere to be found, except in Christ.

Your absolutely correct Stabat. It was almost as if God was warning me several weeks prior to the pandemic. I was absolutely crushing overtime at work the past few years and obsessed with my 403 b (same as 401 k). Investments and for some reason God kept putting thoughts in my consciousness regarding my obsession. It happened in a few small events at work.

Fast forward and my investments are being pummeled and even my job insecurity is tenuous. Many are jobless and struggling to stay afloat, others are in intensive care fighting for their survival.

The only constant in our live is Christ. He will never leave us or forsake us.

If we allow ourselves to be arrogant and think that this will certainly not affect us than let’s us keep in mind “pride comes before the fall”

It’s only “dark times” if you allow it to be.

Not if your in the ICU fighting to even breath hoping that there will be enough ventilators when your turn comes.

One of our hospitals I work for have over 70 in the critical care unit today, another over 50.

Even Christians suffer in this world.

Can’t agree with you there. The Vatican unleashed something when they put a demonic pagan idol on the altar at Santa Maria in Transpontina and St. Peter’s.

More and more priests and bishops are pointing to that synod as a causative factor. Perhaps the final phase in a centuries-old plan to try to undermine and ruin the Church. Pius IX saw it coming, Leo XIII saw it coming. And now we live in a world where the sacraments, in some cases even emergency sacraments like baptism and extreme unction, are unavailable or forbidden.

That sort of thing isn’t just us making the times “as dark as we allow them to be”, it’s the nature of how things are. Suggesting we’re exaggerating the severity is a gross mischaracterization of what’s going on.

It's clearly the endtimes in progress. It will hit us in waves until Christ returns at the end of history. My guess is that the final day will be within a few couple of centuries maximum. Maranatha!
