Does it? Personally, I believe when Adam sinned, his immortal spirit became mortal. Not that it died at the same time as the body died, but would be destroyed at the end of His creation when the heavens and earth are destroyed. That is what being born again does. It makes our mortal spirit, immortal. And our body has to die so it can be changed to immortal.
This is one reason I tend to believe in annihilation at the lake of fire. Hell was made to burn eternally, and was made for Satan and his angels, all immortal beings.

By meditating on the Scriptures and being filled with the Spirit. Also God speaks to me too.
There is one other verse I would like you to consider.
2 Peter 2:
20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
Could it be that it would have been better for them to still have a mortal spirit than to after receiving an immortal spirit when born again, to now die unrighteous and be in hell forever?
