My Favorite Comfort Verses & Passages:
(Brackets and words in light blue indicate something additional to help the reader know what Scripture is saying, and it is not a part of the actual text).

  1. Matthew 11:28-30 --- [Jesus says] “Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

  2. Psalms 94:18-19 --- “When I said, "My foot is slipping," your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. In the multitude of my thoughts within me your comforts delight my soul.” (Verse 18: NIV) (Verse 19: KJV2000).

  3. Proverbs 12:25 --- “Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, But a good word makes it glad” (NASB).

  4. 2 Corinthians 10:5 --- “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (AKJV).

  5. Proverbs 3:5-6 ---“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” (MEV).

  6. Philippians 4:6-7 --- “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (NLT).

  7. Isaiah 40:31 --- “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up [rise up] with wings as [like] eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

  8. Romans 8:37-39 --- “...in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

  9. Psalms 55:22 --- “Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you...”

  10. Psalms 42:5 --- “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence.” (AMP).

  11. Psalms 23:1-6 --- “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” (AKJV).

  12. Psalms 91:1-9 --- “He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings shall you trust: his truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation; (AKJV).

  13. Revelation 21:3-5 --- “...Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”” (AKJV).

  14. Isaiah 41:10 --- “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with… my righteous right hand.” (First half of verse; NLT) (Second half of verse: NIV).

  15. Joshua 1:9 --- “Haven't I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (HCSB).

  16. Mark 5:36 --- “Be not afraid, only believe.”

  17. Matthew 6:31-34 --- ““Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (NASB).

  18. Psalms 46:1-7 --- “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.” (NKJV).

  19. Isaiah 35:3-7 --- “With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” (NLT).

  20. Psalms 121:1-8 --- “I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” (NLT)........................................................................................................................
  21. Matthew 14:28-32 ---"And Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it be you, bid me come unto you on the water.” And he said, “Come.” And when Peter came down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, “Lord, save me.” And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they came into the ship, the wind ceased."

Anyways, I hope these verses and passages help somebody today.

Blessings be unto you all in the Lord today.

My Favorite Comfort Verses & Passages: (Bible Highlighter)
2 Corinthians 10:5
--- “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (AKJV).

Just wondering why you were thinking of this particular verse? Looking at your selection of the other verses, for a common theme, I did notice that this Corinthian verse seemed oddly out of place ... out of place in my current way of thinking about what I've thought this verse (and surrounding context) were talking about ... that is warfare against outside spiritual influences.

However, now, on second thought ... taking my clue from what appears to be a common thought among all of your selected verses ... Maybe, it more so warfare with our own thoughts, reasonings, and preferences. It's not according to flesh that we war, but then looking more carefully, nowhere in these verses can I find it specifically said that this involves spiritual warfare.

Odd, right! If it isn't fleshy warfare, then doesn't that, then, leave it to be spiritual warfare?
Unless perhaps, Paul is talking about our own reasonings, faulty thoughts, and preferences;
our tendencies to be persuaded to faulty conclusions ...

I've also found this verse, and it's surrounding it a little hard to translate into a smooth-flowing English read ... and the verb ..."kathairountes" {2507 V-PAP-NPM}...hard to get straight. That is, it's a Greek combination-word, made up of the preposition "down" (#2596) plus the verb "haireo" (#138), which could be read as either "to take" or "to prefer" ...

Now the idea of "taking down" the evil spiritual strongholds ... has its a traditional appeal,
but what if we were to read the verb ..."kathairountes" {2507 V-PAP-NPM}... with "prefer; preference ...
..."towards a down-preferring of strongholds" ...

10:4 for, the implements of~the warfare of~ours [be] not fleshly [implements],
but with~the God empowered [implements] towards a~down-preferring of~strongholds; 10:5
to~accountings and to~every highness (itself~on-lifting against’ the knowledge of~the God), down-preferring; and, to~every comprehension for’ the under-hearkening of~the Anointed, captivating; 10:6 and, in with~a~readied [matter] holding, to~every beside-hearkening to out-correct, whenever the under-hearing of~yours, she should be fulfilled.

Then again ...

6:10* To~the remaining [matter], brethrened of~me: Be you empowered in with~[the]~Lord, and in with~the fortification of~the strength-holding of~Same [Lord]. 6:11 To~the every-implementing-armament of~God, yourselves~be you in-slipping, towards the [matter] to~you, yourselves~to empower; [and] towards the devised-ways of~the adversarial [one] to stand. 6:12* That it be not unto~us, the wrestling-throw towards blood and flesh, but [the wrestling-throw] towards the preeminences'; towards the out-permits; towards the regulated-world-fortifiers of~this, the darkness of~the eon; [and] towards the spiritual [matters] of~the wickedness among with~the on-heavenly [beings].

... there is the matter of spiritual warfare; however, I'm not reading in Ephesians anything about
our "pulling down" (as some translations would have it read; better read as "down-preferring/taking), spiritual strongholds, but rather Ephesians, here, is talking about our being empowered to withstand spiritual wickedness. To stand, resist, defend against ... is a different matter than being aggressive.

6:13 Through this [matter], to~the every-implementing-armament of~the God be you up-obtaining, so-that yourselves~you should be empowered to~instead-stand in with~the day, with~the wicked [day]; and, to~all-concurrent [matters], yourselves~down-working to stand.

That is, I'm just trying to get a better grasp on what 2Cor 10:4-6 is talking about, and it seems to me, even though the implement-armaments of God include the sword of the spirit, that we are not enlisted to go forth into an aggressive battle to pull down the wicked spiritual bulwarks and strongholds, but rather we are to stand fast, with our feet under-bonded with the evangel, and with the shield of trust, against the incoming arrows ...

That is, I'm thinking that 2Cor is more-so about our spiritual well being, our being well aware of God's grace, and Christ's sacrifice ...our comprehension for’ the under-hearkening of~the Anointed ...

...the every-implementing-armament of~the God...

The one implement that I found most interesting was "the sword of the spirit" ... which I'm always being told, equates to the Bible, the word of God. However, I find in the list of implements, that this is, more specifically, what we wear on our feet (under-bonded with the evangel). That is, looking very closely at the Greek, I find the "sword of the spirit" to be, in fact, an actual spirit, which is an expression of God.

God has a good vocabulary, so I'm sure He has good reasons for making a distinction between ...
expression of God
word of God

That is, if "the word of God" is scripture ... then what is "an expression of God" ... if not a spirit?

6:14 Therefore, be you standing: TO~THE WAIST OF~YOURS,YOURSELVES~HAVING ABOUT-GIRDED IN WITH~TRUTH; and: TO~THE CUIRASS OF~THE CORRECTION, YOURSELVES~HAVING IN-SLIPPED; 6:15 and: TO~THE FEET, YOURSELVES~HAVING UNDER-BOUNDED IN WITH~A~READINESS OF~THE WELL-MESSAGE-EVANGEL OF~THE PEACE. 6:16* For’ with~all [matters], to~the large-door [shield] of~the trust having up-obtained; [and] in with~which~a [shield], to~the arrows of~the wicked [one], to~all the [arrows] having had been en-fired, yourselves~you will empower to quench; 6:17* and: TO~THE ABOUT-HEAD- HELMET OF~THE SAVING [EVANGEL], yourselves~to receive; and, to~the sword of~the spirit, which~a [spirit] it be, an~expression of~God.

One of my favorites is, "Rather, as it is written: 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.'" - 1 Corinthians 2:9

Yes, Paul was quoting this from Isa 64:4 ...he changed the words a little, perhaps because he was going to reprimand them a little later (3:1) for not yet being as mature as he would like them to be ...

I see that you are from Georgia ... how are things there with the virus?
(by the way, there's another fellow/ member here from Georgia ...city of Tbilisi in the country of Georgia.

I've compiled my own reading of this (from the Greek), but am still having some trouble with the verb ..."anebE" there had up-stepped {0305 V-2AAI-3S} ...that's the most literal, I'm thinking about adjusting it to read ..."there had ascended" ...

2:9* But accordingly-as it has had been written:

TO~WHICH [THINGS] AN~EYE HAD SEEN NOT, AND AN~EAR HAD HEARD NOT;
AND, ON TO~A~HEART OF~A~HUMAN THERE HAD UP-STEPPED NOT;
TO~WHICH [THINGS], THE GOD, HE HAD READIED
UNTO~THE [ONES] TO~[THE]~SAME [GOD] LOVING.

The spirit of fear is going around a lot right now (by the enemy) because of this whole virus. Surely, casting down imaginations and leading every thought captive obedient to Jesus Christ and not fearing what a virus will do to one's body, or what man can do to one's body should give one comfort. When we cast down imaginations and lead them obedient to Jesus Christ (i.e. His words) which bring comfort, then there is no room for anything else (like fear of wrong things to take place.). For it is why we focus on "comfort verses" during times like these. We are leading our thoughts captive obedient to Jesus by doing so (and thereby receiving comfort from the Lord).

I'm in the northern part of the state of Georgia. The virus doesn't seem to have impacted my immediate area too bad other than a lot of things being shut down as a precaution. But I'm still very cautious because I don't want my grandmother to get it. What's it like where you live?

Also, I think "ascended" would be a good way to express the meaning there.

Was just talking about Georgia, and it's deepest river, the Chattahoochee ...

We here in Washington State were the first, and worst (for a while) with the virus, but we've instituted some (one of the first), dire stay at home safeguards ...
Not too many cars and people about, seems all sort of deserted.

As for your suggestion about using the word "ascended" instead of "up-stepped" ...

That's the neat interesting, rewarding thing about taking the effort to do one's own translating of scriptures ... it brings to light any number of things that one would not otherwise have noticed.

Look at our verse again ...

TO~WHICH [THINGS]
AN~EYE HAD SEEN NOT,
AND AN~EAR HAD HEARD NOT;

AND, TO~WHICH [THINGS]
ON TO~A~HEART OF~A~HUMAN,

THE GOD HAD READIED
(UNTO~THE [ONES] TO~[THE]~SAME [GOD] LOVING),
THERE HAD UP-STEPPED NOT

...Notice that whereas the eye and ear are doing ... not doing...something,
that the heart is being acted upon ON TO~A~HEART
That is, it's not the heart that is "ascending," but rather the things that God has readied are.
So then, these Godly things would not really be "ascending," but rather up-stepping ON the heart.

Paul (better read as Paulos) uses this verb seven times in his epistles ...

0305 GK0326 anebEn (2) I had up-stepped V-2AAI-1S.5627
0305 GK0326 anebE (2) she/ He had up-stepped V-2AAI-3S.5627
0305 GK0326 anabas (2) having up-stepped V-2AAP-NSM.5631
0305 GK0326 anabEsetai (p1/1) himself~he will up-step V-FDI-3S.5695

...and, I think, the most telling verse would be that of Gal 2:1, where Paulos is talking about
finally returing to Jerusalem (better read as Yerushalayim) after a fourteen year absence ...
Remember, Jerusalem sits on heigth ... one has to walk uphill to get there.

2:1 On-then-afterwards (through fourteen years), again for’ Yerushalayim
I had up-stepped
with Bar Nabba; also, to~Tito having together-beside-obtained.

There's often new ways to look at things when we dig deeper into the scriptures. You clearly have a gift for nuance. Chattahoochee is a fun word. I hope you and your family are doing well. It can be difficult for some people to stay under lock and key for a long time. My family already seems a little stir crazy and eager to go places.

I spent three years on the little island of Guam ... my submarine was stationed out of there,
talk to me about "stir crazy" ... people there go to chicken fights for entertainment!

I'm surprised chicken fights were only recently banned there as Guam is technically part of the US. Yeah, my grandma liked being in the service. I think it's watching the news and hearing about how she's not supposed to do stuff that makes her want to do stuff more.

...the every-implementing-armament of~the God...
6:14
Therefore, be you standing: TO~THE WAIST OF~YOURS, YOURSELVES~HAVING ABOUT-GIRDED IN WITH~TRUTH; and: TO~THE CUIRASS OF~THE CORRECTION, YOURSELVES~HAVING IN-SLIPPED; 6:15 and: TO~THE FEET, YOURSELVES~HAVING UNDER-BOUNDED IN WITH~A~READINESS OF~THE WELL-MESSAGE-EVANGEL OF~THE PEACE. 6:16* For’ with~all [matters], to~the large-door [shield] of~the trust having up-obtained; [and] in with~which~a [shield], to~the arrows of~the wicked [one], to~all the [arrows] having had been en-fired, yourselves~you will empower to quench;

6:17*
and: TO~THE ABOUT-HEAD- HELMET OF~THE SAVING [EVANGEL],
yourselves~to receive; and, to~the sword of~the spirit,
which~a [spirit] it be, an~expression of~God.

Speaking of the oysters of Chattahoochee ...

O Oysters,' said the Carpenter,
You've had a pleasant run!
Shall we be trotting home again?'
But answer came there none —
And this was scarcely odd, because
They'd eaten every one.

(Sophie)
But answer came there none, Robin ...

(Robin)
Just noticed this about the Helmet, the About-Head-Helmet ...
That is, it's the Helmet of something ... of the saving ... something.
of~the [thing] {3588 T-GSN} of~a~saving [thing] {4992 A-GSN}

Problem is, that stand-alone adjective (a~saving) genitive and neuter (A-GSN),
but none of the possible nouns, for it to be a description modifier for, are neuter ...
I'd at first thought that it might be ...
a saving grace ... no
a saving expectation ... no
a saving love ... no
a saving seal ... no
a saving sacrifice ... no
a saving glory ... no
a saving power ... no

None of these fit, for none of these possibilities, are neuter ...
We are supposed to receive this Hemet of a saving SOMETHING,
but the verse doesn't give us any other clues about what, exactly it is ....

(Sophie)
But answer came there none, Robin ...

(Robin)
And so, I've taken the liberty, a translator's license to editorially enhance ...

(Sophie)
Fie on you, Robin ...

(Robin)
Well Iat least I show this to the reader by putting my suggestion in brackets ...

and:
To~THE ABOUT-HEAD- HELMET OF~THE SAVING [EVANGEL],
yourselves~to receive

****
[An aside note:
The verb is middle voiced; that is something one personally does for or to themselves;
thus the infinitive "to receive," also, inherently includes "yourselves~" ... and it's plural
because the other two middle voiced verbs in the context are also plural.
****

... that is (concerning the saving SOMETHING), the only other genitive neuter noun
within the immediate context, is that of the "evangel" ...
of~a~well-message-evangel {2098 N-GSN}
... and so I'm thinking that this would be the most logical and connected word to use.
HELMET OF~THE SAVING [EVANGEL]

(Sophie)
But it is, indeed, just your own conclusion, right, Robin ...

(Robin)
Yes ... but here's what I've just noticed, which in an oddly neat way, makes this
description of our dressing in every-implementing-armament of the God, even more
comforting to me ...

(Sophie)
Are you then, your own prophet, Robin ...

(Robin)
Well, that's a stretch, but God does give us gifts, now and then ...

Anyway, what I l find so endearing about reading these verses this way
is that it's the Evangel that under-bides our feet ... and if I'm correct about this.
it is, also, the Evangel that encases, encompasses, protects our heads and minds ...

(Sophie)
God's Well-Message Evangel of peace, encompassing us head to toe; right Robin ...

(Robin)
Couldn't have said it better, myself, Hon...

I'm surprised chicken fights were only recently banned there as Guam is technically part of the US. Yeah, my grandma liked being in the service. I think it's watching the news and hearing about how she's not supposed to do stuff that makes her want to do stuff more.

(Robin)
Guam is not the fastest moving place ... when I last flew out of there (1972), looking down at the jungled landscape, the very last hold-out Japanese soldier had just walked out of the backwoods and surrendered ... Shoichi Yokoi ... now there's persistence - Would but that we all might have such persistence when it comes to engaging with one another concerning the scriptures, especially those written by our apostle Paul, specifically to us, the Body of Christ ...

(Carpenter)
Said the Carpenter to the Walrus ...how about them there oysters of the Chattahoochee ...

Greetings robinriley,

I would like to slide in here for a clarifying question regarding 1 Corinthians 2:9, without intent to derail this thread.

From post #8...

TO~WHICH [THINGS] AN~EYE HAD SEEN NOT, AND AN~EAR HAD HEARD NOT;

AND, ON TO~A~HEART OF~A~HUMAN THERE HAD UP-STEPPED NOT;

TO~WHICH [THINGS], THE GOD, HE HAD READIED

UNTO~THE [ONES] TO~[THE]~SAME [GOD] LOVING.

From post #12 ...
Look at our verse again ...

TO~WHICH [THINGS]
AN~EYE HAD SEEN NOT,
AND AN~EAR HAD HEARD NOT;

AND, TO~WHICH [THINGS]
ON TO~A~HEART OF~A~HUMAN,

THE GOD HAD READIED
(UNTO~THE [ONES] TO~[THE]~SAME [GOD] LOVING),
THERE HAD UP-STEPPED NOT

...Notice that whereas the eye and ear are doing ... not doing...something,

that the heart is being acted upon ON TO~A~HEART

That is, it's not the heart that is "ascending," but rather the things that God has readied are.

So then, these Godly things would not really be "ascending," but rather up-stepping ON the heart.

Preferring your rendering in post #8, I ask regarding post #12: If “AN~EYE HAD SEEN NOT,AND AN~EAR HAD HEARD NOT;”, why isn’t “ON TO~A~HEART OF~A~HUMAN,“ associated with “ASCENDED NOT”?

Appears to me, that there are three ‘things’ which have NOT: eye--seeing, ear--hearing, and human heart--ascending. These three seem best batched together with the first pronoun (TO~WHICH [THINGS]). In a contrasting fashion, the second pronoun (TO~WHICH [THINGS]) are ‘things’ that ‘the God makes ready to-the to-ones-loving Him’. Thus, surmising that the ‘human heart’ is simply not of capacity to ascending TO~WHICH [THINGS].

~~~ ~~~
Additionally, the ‘im’ attached to Yerushalayim indicates a particular plural, often problematic for identification purposes (post #12). As Galatians bears out, there are more than one Jerusalem(s)...
One of my favorites is, "Rather, as it is written: 'No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no heart has imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him.'" - 1 Corinthians 2:9
Hi; great verse there! Good to keep trusting, 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 12.2).
My Favorite Comfort Verses & Passages:
(Brackets and words in light blue indicate something additional to help the reader know what Scripture is saying, and it is not a part of the actual text).
  1. Matthew 11:28-30 --- [Jesus says] “Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
  2. Psalms 94:18-19 --- “When I said, "My foot is slipping," your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. In the multitude of my thoughts within me your comforts delight my soul.” (Verse 18: NIV) (Verse 19: KJV2000).
  3. Proverbs 12:25 --- “Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, But a good word makes it glad” (NASB).
  4. 2 Corinthians 10:5 --- “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (AKJV).
  5. Proverbs 3:5-6 ---“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” (MEV).
  6. Philippians 4:6-7 --- “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (NLT).
  7. Isaiah 40:31 --- “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up [rise up] with wings as [like] eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
  8. Romans 8:37-39 --- “...in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
  9. Psalms 55:22 --- “Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you...”
  10. Psalms 42:5 --- “Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence.” (AMP).
  11. Psalms 23:1-6 --- “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” (AKJV).
  12. Psalms 91:1-9 --- “He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings shall you trust: his truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation; (AKJV).
  13. Revelation 21:3-5 --- “...Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”” (AKJV).
  14. Isaiah 41:10 --- “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with… my righteous right hand.” (First half of verse; NLT) (Second half of verse: NIV).
  15. Joshua 1:9 --- “Haven't I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (HCSB).
  16. Mark 5:36 --- “Be not afraid, only believe.”
  17. Matthew 6:31-34 --- ““Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (NASB).
  18. Psalms 46:1-7 --- “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.” (NKJV).
  19. Isaiah 35:3-7 --- “With this news, strengthen those who have tired hands, and encourage those who have weak knees. Say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you.” (NLT).
  20. Psalms 121:1-8 --- “I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night. The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.” (NLT)........................................................................................................................
  21. Matthew 14:28-32 ---"And Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it be you, bid me come unto you on the water.” And he said, “Come.” And when Peter came down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, “Lord, save me.” And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they came into the ship, the wind ceased."
Anyways, I hope these verses and passages help somebody today.
Blessings be unto you all in the Lord today.
