The polling group he hired surveyed Christians and non-Christians alike. Here is a summary and a few charts.

Coronavirus Pandemic Is A Wake Up Call: Exclusive Joshua Fund Poll

First, after consulting with a number of senior pastors, theologians, and seminary professors, we have published a 12-page fact sheet titled, “What Does The Bible Teach About Pestilence, Plagues & Global Pandemics?”

Second, we have commissioned an exclusive national poll to better understand how Americans – non-Christians as well as followers of Jesus – view the crisis and whether it is altering their spiritual habits and interest in the Bible and prophecy. Part of a larger national poll of 1,000 “likely” American voters, the poll has a margin of error of +/- 3.1% at a 95% confidence interval.

The results were both fascinating and surprising. Here’s a quick snapshot:
A stunning 44.3% of poll respondents said they believe the coronavirus and resulting economic meltdown is a “wake up call for us to turn back to faith in God,” signs of “coming judgment,” or both.

First graph non-Christian respondents:

Fully one-in-five non-Christians (21.5%) polled said the crisis is causing them to start reading the Bible and listen to Bible teaching and Christian sermons online even though they usually don’t, search online to learn more about Bible prophecy and God’s plan for the future of mankind, and have more spiritual conversations with family and friends.

Second graph Christian respondents:

Four-in-ten self-identified Christian (40.1%) respondents said they are reading the Bible more than ever, watching or listening to Bible teaching and Christian sermons online since they cannot go to church, and searching online to understand Bible prophecy and God’s plan for the future of mankind.

It was interesting to read this.
Thank you. I am using this time to reflect on what being a Christian actually means. On Sundays we have our own Bible study group at home and listen to the pastor do a service on Facebook as well. I listen to Premier Christian Radio during the week too and watch a Christian movie once a week. We have had interesting dinner time discussions about all aspects of Christian life. Since we cannot attend church services in person anymore.
At bed time I read to the twins from a children's Bible. They love the stories. Years ago I found this website and I love the resources on it especially. It is good for kids of all ages and abilities. I definitely recommend it.

I can understand why so many people think that the virus is a wake-up call but I am sure some people will be thinking here we go again believers and doomsday predictions. But I think what's happening should not be seen in isolation. This is just another sign of the times. Even if we don't link this to religion many people are concerned. Look at the panic buying which points to people being worried about something bigger happening.

There have been many signs that we are at some sort of breaking point whether that be with disasters caused by climate change, economic instability, and crashes or global pandemics. As the Bible points out that we will be able to know the time is coming for Christ to return just as we can tell the season is changing when the new leaves sprout on trees.
Luke 21:29-31
“Look at the fig tree and all the trees. When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

But there is more to come and I think there will be ongoing repercussions as a result of the Coronavirus especially economically. The GFC in 2007/8 was another sign but the economic fallout from the virus will be even greater as we try to get back to some normalcy. Imagine if there were a real-life and death situation even greater than this one. I think people would actually be killing each other to survive. That is when the State will have to step in and take control and that is when no one will be able to buy or sell unless they have some sort of ID so that food and essentials are rationed properly.
