Newspapers are about alarmism. The current media on this climate alarmism trend has invested itself in that everything about American lifestyle must be bad for the planet & they continue to push this pie in the sky social justice. None of the journalists currently reporting on climate is spending day upon day in textbook or class etc. They are just picking apart alarmist cliches & trying to promote a view. Most current example is USA Today in the last 2 weeks. Caught my eye because it related some laws of physics & our current pandemic. For those that don't know. virions & bacteria need some kind of host to survive & replicate. One thing they inhibits their ability to flourish is a small part of the sun's spectrum called UV radiation. UV radiation is short-wave thus higher energy frequency than visible light hence it can damage DNA (aka skin cancer). So this article reported that the journalist found this to be absolutely false. I am absolutely stunned by this. Back in my first course of environmental pollution in 1978 when we were studying wastewater treatment, it is the 3rd or tertiary stage of water treatment plants to treat the now sludge-free water with UV radiation to dispose of such things as cholera. Likewise the principle applies to day. Where the rays can be prevalent, the virions may certainly disperse. This is why I have been telling people to ensure they get their fresh air during the pandemic. The sunlight facilitates Vitamin D formation via UV which arms the immune system, particularly in the respiratory tract.
