Weird there wasn't a similar complaint about "all the money" that was "borrowed and printed" to fund tax cuts for the ultra wealthy. Or the predicted effect.

Didn't you also get a tax cut?

I have often wondered how having $57.00 less taken out of my paycheck resulted in my yearly tax bill increasing by $4000.00. But if Trump and his crew say I got a tax cut, well then it must be true.

The best way to determine that is to compare your effective tax rate with the previous year, if your earnings don't put you into a higher tax bracket. Mine went from 20% to 17.5%, a tax break of about $2200.

You’re the only person I know who thinks it’s happening without the cooperation of the Democrat Party, however. Most people tell me they think the American left is the worldwide Communist Party now, and that they are willingly subverting this economy and destroying it, for the purposes of eliminating and wiping out capitalism.

Talk about offensive and politically motivated nonsense. Sheesh. Why does the far right of the Republican party have to turn everything into a conspiracy theory, and blame everything on Democrats? These are the same people who irrationally promoted "birtherism" and who claim that global warming is a global conspiracy. Why does anyone even listen to such divisive nonsense?

I'm sure the Democrats aren't any happier than the Republicans about losing their jobs by following the Presidents orders.

Funny, I live in a very red part of Michigan and because our lady Governor shut down non-essential business, everyone is blaming her about all their financial ills due to HER overreacting and shutting down of the State, yet when I ask them if they want to accompany me to Costco I get “Heck no! I don’t want to get that virus!!”

They have nothing left anymore. Their political ideology is vacuous and this sort of nonsense is the only way for them to try to explain anything without conceding that the libtards are right about some things.

That is only because the ultra wealthy are very responsible spenders. They did not waste that money on items like food and rent.
Using the money for stock buybacks and then asking for bailouts seems more practical, I guess.

Relevance to determining if "all the money" that was "borrowed and printed" to fund something is good or bad?

The Trump tax cuts weren't technically a 'stimulus'.

They can't do that with the upcoming stimulus money. That said I think if a company buys back their stock it should be permanently retired.

Sure they were. They just weren't a terribly effective one.

They weren't enough to buy anything so many paid off loans or put it in savings.

With all the money that's going to be borrowed and printed the economy will be just fine. There will be hyper inflation for a while but that will settle down as well.
I can't wait to see people rolling wheelbarrows full of green backs to the store to purchase a loaf of bread.

Hmmm.
Let's you and I go into the wheelbarrow business!

Of course people would need some way to get all the money we would charge them for a wheelbarrow to our store.

Lol why? You trust that those in charge have a solid grasp of the situation and can handle it appropriately?

Or that those at the bottom....the most vulnerable to economic disaster....will put their faith in the kindness and charity of their fellow man?

I don't think that we could do better.
Actually, I'm sure that we couldn't.

I stopped about a third of the way through at "... weaponized to bring down Donald Trump. Let me tell you the truth about the coronavirus ...."

Just, why are people like him even allowed to open their mouths in public? Much less on talk radio?

I was visiting my family a few weeks ago right as all of the big closures (e.g. NBA season) were just starting, and I got into a bit of an argument with my longtime-Dittohead father about Rush's pooh-poohing of the seriousness of this. My folks live in upstate NY and my dad texted me something yesterday about the do-not-transport orders given to EMS workers in NYC regarding people who can't be revived on scene. I hope this is the crack that'll allow me to persuade him that Limbaugh is an ignorant quack.

I'm going out on a limb here and suggesting that Rush was way down the list of notable public and government figures that downplayed the virus in the early days.
