@nonaeroterraqueous Well, I am hoping you are wrong about me getting exposed. That was definitely not a nice thing to say to someone who has anxiety. But you could be right, so I won't argue with you about that. Like someone
@ZNP said, I am going to treat everyday as though I have been exposed. I am going to buy medicine, like cough syrup, aspirin, and other stuff. I will also make sure I have enough fluids.
But you have to realize that, even though you are right it may not always be good enough, it is still safer then not. Do you know why that they say keep a distance? It is based on research and evidence that they show that germs travel about six feet. That is why they say that keep six feet away from people. I am going to trust the scientist on this one. However, sometimes germs can travel 27 feet, and they can sometimes linger in the air for long periods of time, like 3 hrs. So, you are right, I could still be exposed, even if I am not next to that person. So, you are right, I can still be exposed. But I am still going to take precautions. I will still speak up, but politely, and ask people to not get close to me. Whether they listen or not is up to them. I am still going to cover my mouth up and nose, even though I read it won't do much good in stopping yourself from getting sick, but it will stop others from getting your germs. We don't just stay home for our sake, we stay home for other people's sake. But I don't want to be a hypocrite, so I will admit, I am still doing it for myself. I have been very angry with Americans right now during this whole ordeal. News reports are reporting about Americans who don't want to practice social distancing. And whether you see it or not, there is evidence that social distancing works. Places have seen a decline. Well, maybe not because of social distancing but because people chose to stay home.
Italy’s Coronavirus Cases Beginning to Decline After Two-Week Lockdown
In Italy everyone who does go out because of work and other things, they cover themselves up. This does help a lot. It doesn't help the person wearing the mask, but if two people wear the masks or cloths, they are both helping each other out. And if we all did this and continued to wash our hands and stayed at home, we would probably see a decline. But that is an opinion based on what I have read. So, I could be wrong. But I still believe that people should at least try.
As far as my trust in God goes, I don't agree with you, for that is not the issue. Putting your trust in God doesn't mean we should act like there is no danger.
Proverbs 27:12 says "The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty." If Christians are gonna talk about putting your faith in God, while acting stupid in the midst of a crisis, that limits their ability to preach the gospel, right? Because people will see how foolish they are acting. Now, I am not mister holy person. In fact, I have always questioned my Christianity. And if I have claimed to be a Christian and talked to that man with anger, that would also would misrepresent Christ.
I will admit, I am using this verse to defend myself. It is true. I have a problem with trusting God. But don't tell me to trust in God, while acting foolish. That is like saying, "It's okay. Jump out of the airplane without a parachute. God will save you. Trust him."
