Never claimed it to be.
Then your comparison of the rights of homosexuals to the rights of persons to gather in large groups during a contagion is worthless.

Nice mischaracterization you just made there.
What I compared was the arguments each side makes and how they are similar.

Tony Spell, pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Baton Rouge, said no "dictator law" could keep people from worshipping God, according to the local news.

On Tuesday police in suburban Baton Rouge, Louisiana, issued Pastor Tony Spell of Life Tabernacle Church a misdemeanor summons for six counts of violating the governor's executive order barring large gatherings.

"Instead of showing the strength and resilience of our community during this difficult time, Mr. Spell has chosen to embarrass us for his own self-promotion," said Central Police Chief Roger Corcoran Tuesday in a statement.

"Mr. Spell will have his day in court where he will be held responsible for his reckless and irresponsible decisions that endangered the health of his congregation and our community," Corcoran added.

"We have not broken any law. We will not break any law," Spell said.

"We will continue to have church," he continued. "This is a government overreach. They are asking us as a government to stop practicing our freedom of religion. And we have a mandate from God to assemble and to gather together and to keep doing what we're doing."

I just don’t understand why some people still aren’t taking this seriously. Every day, this virus kills more people and infects more people than the last. Almost every day from the last week or so has been worse than the day before, and sometimes by big leaps. Is it really that hard to understand how quickly this thing can spiral out of control?

It’s only been a month since this really kicked off, and the majority of people infected and dying are just in the last week. Is that not alarming?

Well to be fair if your giant statue of Jesus being struck by lightning and burning to the ground isn't enough of hint not to go nothing will be.

Ohio is going to have to pick up their game if they want to catch up to Michigan.

I live in Ohio and to be honest both Gov. Dewine and Dr. Acton are doing a very good job of flattening the curve while trying not to freak out the conspiracy theory believing red necks that we have a large population of. Nice people but there fear government and freedoms being taken away is going get people killed.

Dozens of defiant Christian pastors across the country are preparing to open their church doors to their congregations for Palm Sunday, despite strict lockdown orders to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

'We're defying the rules because the commandment of God is to spread the Gospel,' Louisiana pastor Tony Spell [pastor in OP] told Reuters Saturday.

'Satan's trying to keep us apart, he's trying to keep us from worshiping together. But we're not going to let him win,' Kelly Burton, pastor at Lone Star Baptist Church in Lone Star, Texas, wrote in a post on Facebook.

Meanwhile, in California's Sacramento County, officials stated Friday that they have identified one evangelical church that has a cluster of 71 positive cases. They offered few details but said that while the church itself is closed, church members continue to gather in fellow parishioners' homes.

He is right, however, that it is a dictator law and that the state has no business shutting down churches. It's up to them if they want to risk the virus. The is a violation of freedom of conscience.

I usually agree with freedom of conscience, but not in this situation. If someone chooses to expose themselves to the virus, it isn't only themselves and their families they risk. There is a good chance they will pass the virus on, and someone they infect could die as a result. No one has a right to make bad choices that will sicken and kill other people. Their "choice" could also endanger health care workers and use up already depleted medical supplies. Are the members of this church willing to sign contracts saying they won't waste hospital time and resources if they get severely ill with the disease? Will they agree to be barricaded in the church building so as not to infect the wider community such as by going grocery shopping?

What they’re spreading is the idea that this congregation is full of idiots without any regard for anyone but themselves.

Not a good look...

If they're wrong, they'll all become infected and suffer the consequences. If they're obeying what God is commanding them to do, then they'll be ok. Let God be the judge of their actions.
