My whiskers are twitching about some things in CF -

- if someone is being "followed" does that come over as creepy to those being "followed"? ;)
- what does it look like if you want to use the "tags" that someone else has already put on their posts?
- why are some posts apparently in "Junk Drawer"?

Ah yes, the mysteries of this space. I'm still trying figure out what that rainbow means. I think it's supposed to mean "hopeful" or some such. But everytime I get one I get the sneaking suspicion the person is trying to tell me I'm lacking in intelligence, or moral rectitude, and that they "hope" I'll soon have what I lack. It's like the "thumbs down" for Christians.

I see "followed" as a compliment: Someone has thought enough of my posts to want to seek them out and read more of them.

I agree about the dubious rainbow. CF probably meant well when they included it, but it usually feels like "boy, you're naively utopian!"

Now that was a funny ... and insightful posting. I tried to follow-up on you (and your posts), but the profile is restricted ...[Public Hermet ... sort of an oxymoron, right?] which again, made me laugh.

Where do you post, I'd like to read more of your comments ...
hopefully, some of them are scripturally related; nevertheless, I'm sure they will be interesting.

[By the way...just for the fun of it, I gave you a "rainbow" ... was the first of those undefined things I've given, and most likely the last, but I thought that if anyone would appreciate it, you would.]

Ah yes, the mysteries of this space.
Actually, you should be thinking about the space of Mystery. Where is this space and how do you find it?
I think it's supposed to mean "hopeful" or some such.
What leads to you to this conclusion?
But everytime I get one I get the sneaking suspicion the person is trying to tell me I'm lacking in intelligence, or moral rectitude, and that they "hope" I'll soon have what I lack.
Are you feeling cynical or do you just encounter curmudgeons ubiquitously?
It's like the "thumbs down" for Christians.
You didn't answer why so many posts are in the Junk Drawer. I'm really curious about that, too.

You beat somebody to the punch with that "rainbow" ^_^ i knew that was coming, haha.

Honestly, I don't know how it all works. I do know if I follow someone, I see all their activity on my "timeline." Fair warning, half the time I don't know what I'm talking about, and the other half everybody else knows I don't know what I'm talking about. So, you know, grain of salt. :)

That explains why I have so few followers. I do stalk the people I follow like a cheetah on an antelope- mostly out of curiosity and boredom. Really I just like to know which threads people are reading. I don't do facebook so this must satisfy some impulse.

I was just about say something about that, too.. One minute....

What leads to you to this conclusion?

Doesn't it say that's what it means?

:dontcare:

Are you feeling cynical or do you just encounter curmudgeons ubiquitously?

Hahaha ^_^ Well, yeah kinda. I mean I encounter them everywhere I go. But, of course, I'm there too, so...

You didn't answer why so many posts are in the Junk Drawer. I'm really curious about that, too.

I don't have answers, just uninformative replies. I'm really good at replies wholly unrelated to the thread. It's a gift.

Rainbow when you find a post is giving hope, encouraging, reassuring, positive, favorable.
That would be the correct use, but methinks many use it to say you're naive.

I love it when I have a new follower. To answer your other question, you can rainbow a post if you think it is helpful. I am on here a lot now and have learned a lot about the site and how it works etc. Feel free to look around the site more and contribute to discussions too. What other questions do you have for us?

What used to freak me out is when I saw the 'eye' on my postings thinking someone was spying on me until I figured out it meant I was subscribed to the thread. :sorry:

It seems like I've collected a few followers, I see it come in "so in so is now following you" but other than that I have no clue till I get a like or agree from one. I at this point not sure who is really a follower lol !!

Ahhhh shucks ... You were almost there, but you missed the wave ...
it was all meant in fun, Hon.

You get my next, and surely, last little Rainbow; take it as you will ...

But you can still catch up and laugh ... at yourself,
that would be the most rewarding, of all said trophies.
