Unfortunately I can not get mine due to my signal out here.
Do they provide a drive thru for communion?

I’m sure those in nursing homes and living alone have been challenged to get communion brought to them. I remember in even “normal” times I had to “kick the tires” a bit with my dad’s parish is getting him weekly communion.

I’m an EMHC so I brought communion to those in nursing and county homes. It’s all been suspended.

Hi it is seriously lacking. The message is the same and the worship leader is singing the same sort of songs but the thing that makes church is the corporate worship and the fellowship with the brethren. I can find better worship music and search 1000's of recorded teachings /sermons so church being remote is really no different than watching a recorded message or music.

Oh dear this is sad. I spent a lot of time with my dad’s nursing home community when he was not doing well. Those wonderful souls looked forward to the Eucharist. This is probably one of the saddest things I’ve heard happening during this pandemic. These seniors are starving for fellowship and companionship. :(

Unfortunately I have to agree with you. It’s like catching the podcast “later” if out of town. That it is a live broadcast is comforting.

Yes nothing can replace the in person fellowship and corporate worship. Sad times. :(

Our church is rural and our attendance is usually under 20 people. I suggested that somebody video the pastor's message and upload it somewhere. Nobody has the knowledge on how to do that, I assume. He sent out some reading for us to take us into Resurrection Sunday which I have shared in our Facebook chats and on our church Facebook page. I have very limited internet where I live and wouldn't be able to watch online except occasionally.

Sounds like you are small enough to do a drive in to the parking lot service.

That is really a good idea. Thank you. I may suggest that. Edit: I see that it may be snowing on Sunday now. :(

Yes, mine does. My Internet connection is terrible, though! It continued buffering every 5-10 seconds.
Are you using your WiFi or have your computer directly connected to your data source?

Very good, because we have a 1700+ year head start on self-imposed isolation through monasticism, so that really does help soften the blow of staying home rather than gathering, because we have the Agpeya (Coptic Book of the Hours/daily prayer book), and can pray that either alone or by following the practice as you can still see in numerous videos from the monasteries and churches which still hold services of under 10 people, as here in this example from St. Mary & St. Moses Abbey in Texas, celebrated by HG Bishop Youssef of the Southern United States:

This is how we would already be praying in church, but with a much smaller group composed of monks. :) We are heartened, of course, to see them continuing to pray for the world at this time. May the Lord have mercy on us all, and receive their prayers and ours for the salvation and protection of the whole world.

My wife's Baptist Church is doing quite well with their online broadcasts. The music from the band is not as clear as it is in-house, but otherwise they're going through the motions without any major hiccups. We had trouble getting the sound the first time (ignorance on our part), but we had no real difficulties with the second broadcast.

My local Catholic Church doesn't have broadcasts, but the Cathedral does. I can hook into that if I wish, including past services. They've been offering online broadcasts for quite a while, mainly after the fact I think. I tended to stick to my local church and leave it at that when services were still live. After all the Eucharist is the centre of the Catholic service, although I miss the standard of my old Presbyterian pastor's sermons (long time ago now).

My church's online services are really good, for what they are. Of course, I would prefer being there physically (and in the absence of a pandemic), but that isn't where we are right now. There is a worship team of four people in the church-6 feet apart, of course- then the sermon, then more worship time. And a Tuesday evening prayer session is also online. It's also nice because my friends from out of town (or un-churched friends in town) can watch as well. Again, no substitute for being there physically, but I think they are doing a good job.

My church already had a broadcast. How about your church?

We are in the midst of setting one up, until now we watch our Bishop but our Priest would like to stream services.
