Everytime I reach out to those Lost, I'm really confused sometimes. Here are my questions:

- Is it possible to live a lifestyle of Disobedience like for many years, but the person said he/she really trusted Christ and repented to their Sin?

- Is it possible that a person is Saved but their fruit of the Spirit, like growing as Christlikeness their character but its very very slow? Like sometimes you doubt to their salvation, if they truly accepted Christ and repented?

Because I want to know first if a person is really accepted the Gospel to their Life. can you give me some advice, what you do to check if they are truly saved.

Sometimes I'm hesitant to share the Word of God to some Christians, because I want to know first if they are truly Saved. Like said in the Bible, unsaved person would not understand God's Word.

Pls give me some verses also.

Please don't make it your job to judge a person saved or unsaved. See with your eyes and hear with your ears the truth of His salvation is never hidden.

Those who love God and neighbour as well as themselves are His children. This is always a work in progress, and there can be times of darkness but we hope and pray for light.

Pray for those with little fruit, pray but don't judge them holy or unholy by appearance. You do not know what transpires between people and God, He alone knows and He alone may judge. The worst thing is the judgement you use on others Jesus will use on you, and who is perfect?

So if a person says they have faith in Jesus it is not for you to doubt that or fault that it is for you to respect that and to take that into account.

Would you want to have other believers judge you on what you do for God? Then please don't do it to others. Pray for those who are weak. Be patient with them.

Be blessed.

Romans 14
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”

So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.

Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.

So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Ultimately God is the judge, but I have found this verse handy, in practical terms, when dealing with questionable situations...

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isa 8:20)

Hello Aldrin25, yes, it's possible for a true believer to fall into a sinful existence for a long time, but I believe it is far more likely that they never surrendered their life to Jesus, never trusted in Him as their Lord and Savior from the get-go (though they may truly believe that they did .. cf Matthew 7:22-23).

Perseverance, particularly at the end of one's life, is one of the great assurances that we have that we are truly in the faith. Nevertheless, some, during their lives, may fall away from fellowship with God for a time and live their lives like unbelievers, but as the Lord says of ~all~ who were ever truly His, I LOSE NOTHING .. John 6:37-40, so in the end, I believe that He will preserve all of His own in the faith, finding and returning any of His wayward sheep to the fold (by the end of their lives, if not before .. e.g. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24).

If you'd care to read it, this is what the Westminster Confession of Faith has to say (in part) about this topic.

Chapter XVII. Of the Perseverance of the Saints

Section I.–They whom God hath accepted in his Beloved, effectually called and sanctified by his Spirit, can neither totally nor finally fall away from the state of grace; but shall certainly persevere therein to the end, and be eternally saved.

Section II.–This perseverance of the saints depends, not upon their own freewill, but upon the immutability of the decree of election, flowing from the free and unchangeable love of God the Father; upon the efficacy of the merit and intercession of Jesus Christ; the abiding of the Spirit and of the seed of God within them; and the nature of the covenant of grace; from all which ariseth also the certainty and infallibility thereof.

Section III.–Nevertheless they may, through the temptations of Satan and of the world, the prevalence of corruption remaining in them, and the neglect of the means of their perseverance, fall into grievous sins; and for a time continue therein: whereby they incur God's displeasure, and grieve his Holy Spirit; come to be deprived of some measure of their graces and comforts; have their hearts hardened, and their consciences wounded; hurt and scandalise others, and bring temporal judgments upon themselves.

Chapter XVIII. Of Assurance of Grace and Salvation

Section I.–Although hypocrites, and other unregenerate men, may vainly deceive themselves with false hopes and carnal presumptions: of being in the favor of God and estate of salvation; which hope of theirs shall perish: yet such as truly believe in the Lord Jesus, and love him in sincerity, endeavouring to walk in all good conscience before him, may in this life be certainly assured that they are in a state of grace, and may rejoice in the hope of the glory of God: which hope shall never make them ashamed.

Section II.–This certainty is not a bare conjectural and probably persuasion, grounded upon a fallible hope; but an infallible assurance of faith, founded upon the divine truth of the promises of salvation, the inward evidence of those graces unto which these promises are made, the testimony of the Spirit of adoption witnessing with our spirits that we are the children of God; which Spirit is the earnest of our inheritance, whereby we are sealed to the day of redemption.
God bless you!

Everytime I reach out to those Lost, I'm really confused sometimes. Here are my questions:

- Is it possible to live a lifestyle of Disobedience like for many years, but the person said he/she really trusted Christ and repented to their Sin?

Each of us is disobedient, because we're sinners. It's not a question of if we sin, because we do. And each person may have their own distinct struggles; some struggles might be more noticeable to others, some might be more private. The call to obedience is not for our salvation, but to live our salvation out into the world, loving our neighbor. We read in Ephesians 2 that we are saved by grace through faith, and this is not of ourselves, but God's gift; not of works. But the Apostle continues that we were created to walk in good works prepared for us.

This is not to say that if we live in continuous unrepentant sin that there isn't a problem. This is why St. John writes that there is sin that is "unto death" and there is sin "not unto death". If we turn away from the Lord, if we choose to go our own way, if we refuse repentance, deny forgiveness, resist and reject the gifts of God then we steer ourselves right into sharp rocks, shipwrecking ourselves and our faith. And Scripture warns against this as a very serious thing.

This is why it is vitally important to make the right distinction between Law and Gospel. The Law is God's word and command of what is good and righteous: To love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves; but on account of sin the Law acts like a mirror, revealing our failure to be and live righteously, and thus when we behold ourselves honestly before the Law we stand condemned. Thus the preaching of the Law isn't about making us righteous, but rather about presenting a mirror in front of us, so that seeing ourselves honestly, we fall on our knees crying out "Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner!" Conversely the Gospel is not a command, but God's gracious word and promise to us, that Christ came into the world to save sinners, and that we are the chief of sinners. And therefore here, by this Gospel is God's free forgiveness given to sinners on Christ's account, and it is ours, not by any works of obedience we have done, not having earned it in any way whatsoever, but that it is freely given and freely received.

So that you, a sinner condemned under the Law, are forgiven because Christ Himself suffered, died, and rose again for you; and what He has done is given to you by God through the preaching of this Gospel, through the Sacraments, so that you can say on account of your baptism, that you belong to Jesus Christ, you are the child of God, forgiven, and the Spirit and gifts are yours because God says so.

Therefore freely confess you are a sinner, believe the Gospel, trust in the Lord, carry your cross.

- Is it possible that a person is Saved but their fruit of the Spirit, like growing as Christlikeness their character but its very very slow? Like sometimes you doubt to their salvation, if they truly accepted Christ and repented?

Remember what the Lord said? Why do we point out the speck in our brother's eye while we have a log in our own? We have this promise from God: "He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:6) The good work of God in our lives which He has been doing since Christ made us His is a good, trustworthy, and faithful work of God. You carry your cross, your brother carries his cross, and your sister carries their cross. We aren't all the same, our struggles are all different. But the same Spirit is in us, the same Lord saves us, it is the same God who is at work on us. Do not look to your own moral progress, or the moral progress of your brother or sister; what may seem small to you may be huge for them. We aren't climbing up some ladder toward God, with some further up the rungs than others. But rather God is here, in our midst, through His Word and Sacraments, healing us, saving us, working on us, knitting us together, feeding and sustaining us with His life-giving grace. Trust in the Lord.

Because I want to know first if a person is really accepted the Gospel to their Life. can you give me some advice, what you do to check if they are truly saved.

It's not your business. Put your faith in Jesus Christ, trust the Lord. The One who is at work in you is at work in your brother as well. Confess your sins, believe the Gospel, trust in the Lord.

Sometimes I'm hesitant to share the Word of God to some Christians, because I want to know first if they are truly Saved. Like said in the Bible, unsaved person would not understand God's Word.

Salvation is God's work. It's what He is doing. It is outside of your control. Instead, put your faith in Christ.

Jesus persisted.
Matthew 17:17 "You unbelieving and perverse generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you?..."

The bible says:

2Ti 2:19 But God's strong base is unchanging, having this sign, The Lord has knowledge of those who are his: and, Let everyone by whom the name of the Lord is named be turned away from evil.

This verse would suggest two things, only God really knows who are His, it is not our job to pull down an others faith, but we should definitely be telling people to turn from their sins.

Basically whether a person is currently saved or not, we do not know, but we do know, and should tell them to leave their sins behind.

It's not up to us to try and determine if a person is saved or not.

We are to point people to Christ whether they be a professing christian or not.

Saving is up to the Lord and only He knows a persons heart ... the secret things.

Many known unsaved (people who don't even acknowledge that God exists) understand a lot about Gods word ... they just choose to ignore it. Likewise, many christians turn away from it as well ... sometimes temporality sometimes permanently.

Examples: There are atheists that have turn christian .... and there are christians that have turned atheist.

Romans 10:9-10
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Matthew 7:21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

1 Corinthians 4:5

Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.

It is possible. Some trees take more time to develop fruits. I think the growth is slower when a person doesn't/couldn't spend regular quality time alone with God. (remember parable of the sower).

Every one is different and are at different points on their journey. It is not possible to check properly all the time via online interaction. Instead of trying to check if they are truly saved, you should try to understand if they babes in Christ or matured/grown up.

John's First Epistle and Romans 8 are passages which have very strong content on assurance. Clearly such passages and truth need to be approached with earnestness and prayerful dependence rather than in a casual and speculative way.
