I read today that the Governor of Michigan, who is fast making a reputation for herself as a whiner without cause, was complaining about not getting needed supplies from the federal government although she had neglected to ask the President to declare the state involved in an emergency situation.

apparently the other governors who received such aid, after following the necessary procedures, knew what they were doing.

FEMA: Michigan has not requested major disaster declaration for coronavirus

And yet FEMA’s own website has the date as March 13th, 2020

I wonder if the notion of Donald having to share credit with the Hated Pelosi is what's so upsetting, or the notion of DOnald charing credit in general?

Anyone who expects me to believe Pelosi is any more than a complete joke after all she has done, should know now, I don't take here seriously at all and her and Trump shared nothing. In my view she might as well have not even been there. She has no value at all, and I've little doubt Trump feels the exact same way.

And yes, I know she tried to steal some credit for the stimulus, but all she did was introduce a bunch of junk and held the needs of Americans hostage in order to get that junk to pass. A deplorable little person.

What they "think" evidently didn't matter. You do understand the concept of losing a case, right?

I understand that losing a case doesn't mean it never existed. Do you understand that?

For what exactly?

You called him the best president ever. I would like to know your criteria.

You really expect me to bother

Not for a moment.

when you can't even accept a lost court case?

I understand that "lost" in not the same as "fabricated."

Do you?

You'll throw all kinds of rediculous arguments at it, if I did actually bother citing them.

Why not cite them -- assuming they exist -- and find out?

You have earned the right to no examples as in this case, it would be a waste of my time..

I would be sorely disappointed if any such examples actually existed.

Fortunately they don't.

Much better.

Isn't this the point where you're supposed to actually know what she has done?

In my view she might as well have not even been there. She has no value at all, and I've little doubt Trump feels the exact same way.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Donald feels that way -- why else would you feel the same?

Not from what I saw.

Yes, because you didn’t recognize me quoting Lamar Alexander’s terminology, and instead chose to use it to claim I didn’t know what I was talking about. Maybe you should take it up with the Senator.

That is an emergency declaration, however, 'major disaster' is a separate category, declared by the president, after a request from a governor. Both authorize the president to provide federal assistance.

I am aware of that and was at briefings and teleconferences with State of Michigan Officials and the CDC just prior to the declaration made by the Governor. I was responding to Albion when he said “she had neglected to ask the President to declare the state involved in an emergency situation.”

Yes, I am part of the State of Michigan’s response plans, scary, isn’t it?

I am a little mixed up. Surely you are joking. I have read other things you've written that are much more logical.
I have been twice chastened by the Ghost of Forums Future. Therefore, the power of Trump is great and ever present. I appreciate the President.

Last I checked, presidential historians ranked him dead last.

I think I’ll take their opinion over random internet person...

I still don't know what you're talking about.

Would you please try again...that is if you really have something there.

Well, that's premature -- We have had some truly awful presidents: Pierce, Tyler, Harding, Fillmore...

We can't really decide where Donald belongs on the list until we've had a chance to see the long term effects of his policies and decisions.

The American people truly do not like their governing class. They think both parties are hopelessly partisan. I tend to agree. But, like that jury working to wade through the gaslighting of both lawyers, individual voters need to decide which party to support, or whether to shun both. I have chosen to vote Democratic, but not because I think that Democrats are saints. I merely think that, on balance, they are less bad than Republicans. Not primarily because of Donald Trump’s poor personal character, but because of the merits of Republican vs. Democratic priorities. Neither side is totally good, but the Democratic side, when compared to Biblical standards—which matter greatly to me—comes out significantly better in my book.

No one that who fights as hard as many Americans do to keep racism, sexism, illusion, delusion and ignorance in play dislikes it. We begged to be subjugated through our incredible short-sightedness and willingness to fight each other without actually knowing the enemy (only what has been told). It festered under our noses because as long as it happened in certain demographics we didn't have to look at it.

The bill must come due at some point, and now we are at the beginning of an age with a perpetually aimless youth, an ignorant and prejudiced elder population, and at best corrupt leadership - we nurtured this evolution for centuries.

What does that have to do with this thread? I’m just expressing my opinion of partisans on either side who argue like lawyers in court while practicing fairness be damned. I'm not saying that all, or even most, of the posts here are too partisan, but some sure are. And idealistic as it may be, reason and fairness still matter to me. I remember what it was like, playing nice with others who played nice in return. I wish more adults could be that way.

Most all children are taught to be stupid, full of rage, mean and evil, racists, aimless, hopeless and murderers. Clearly we are still to blame for the children we bring up as well - since they are treated as next iterations of possessions for family and state. We beat and breed out the goodness that comes naturally for most children so they can be the adults we are and survive in this sick world we prepare for them.

I don't understand why everyone is scurrying about... This has to be what we wanted based on the energy we used to get here (especially when we were warned many times). Be happy.

Because that's what it is.

You didn't answer my request for reiteration.

That fact that you require reiteration shows that the answer is, indeed, "no."

Had you been aware, no such reiteration would be necessary.

Still no reiteration?

I think you had nothing to begin with, and now your backing your bicycle out of here. :)
