I read today that the Governor of Michigan, who is fast making a reputation for herself as a whiner without cause, was complaining about not getting needed supplies from the federal government although she had neglected to ask the President to declare the state involved in an emergency situation.
apparently the other governors who received such aid, after following the necessary procedures, knew what they were doing.
FEMA: Michigan has not requested major disaster declaration for coronavirus
I wonder if the notion of Donald having to share credit with the Hated Pelosi is what's so upsetting, or the notion of DOnald charing credit in general?
What they "think" evidently didn't matter. You do understand the concept of losing a case, right?
For what exactly?
You really expect me to bother
when you can't even accept a lost court case?
You'll throw all kinds of rediculous arguments at it, if I did actually bother citing them.
You have earned the right to no examples as in this case, it would be a waste of my time..
Anyone who expects me to believe Pelosi is any more than a complete joke after all she has done, should know now, I don't take here seriously at all and her and Trump shared nothing.
In my view she might as well have not even been there. She has no value at all, and I've little doubt Trump feels the exact same way.
That is an emergency declaration, however, 'major disaster' is a separate category, declared by the president, after a request from a governor. Both authorize the president to provide federal assistance.
I have been twice chastened by the Ghost of Forums Future. Therefore, the power of Trump is great and ever present. I appreciate the President.I am a little mixed up. Surely you are joking. I have read other things you've written that are much more logical.
Yes, I am part of the State of Michigan’s response plans, scary, isn’t it?
Last I checked, presidential historians ranked him dead last. You called him the best president ever. I would like to know your criteria
I understand that losing a case doesn't mean it never existed. Do you understand that?
Yes, because you didn’t recognize me quoting Lamar Alexander’s terminology, and instead chose to use it to claim I didn’t know what I was talking about. Maybe you should take it up with the Senator.
Last I checked, presidential historians ranked him dead last.
I think I’ll take their opinion over random internet person...
And?
The American people truly do not like their governing class. They think both parties are hopelessly partisan. I tend to agree. But, like that jury working to wade through the gaslighting of both lawyers, individual voters need to decide which party to support, or whether to shun both. I have chosen to vote Democratic, but not because I think that Democrats are saints. I merely think that, on balance, they are less bad than Republicans. Not primarily because of Donald Trump’s poor personal character, but because of the merits of Republican vs. Democratic priorities. Neither side is totally good, but the Democratic side, when compared to Biblical standards—which matter greatly to me—comes out significantly better in my book.
What does that have to do with this thread? I’m just expressing my opinion of partisans on either side who argue like lawyers in court while practicing fairness be damned. I'm not saying that all, or even most, of the posts here are too partisan, but some sure are. And idealistic as it may be, reason and fairness still matter to me. I remember what it was like, playing nice with others who played nice in return. I wish more adults could be that way.
Why?
You didn't answer my request for reiteration.
Because that's what it is.
That fact that you require reiteration shows that the answer is, indeed, "no."
Had you been aware, no such reiteration would be necessary.
