Trump has some of the world's best experts working on this.

Nobody claimed otherwise. The problem is, one of Donald's biggest flaws as a leader is that he thinks that he is automatically the smartest person in the room. He does have some incredibly brilliant people to advise him, but lets his gut hunches guide him instead of their experience and professional knowledge.

On a serious note.
Most all leaders of the world have a very large EGO.
It's those types that seek these positions.
Would you want the job?
Even if I was qualified I would not!
I like it up top the Mountain -- no stress is best.

No I wouldn't want that job. But the key to any successful leader, whether it be at a company, nonprofit or government is knowing what you don't know and hiring good subordinates to cover those gaps.

If I had to narrow it down to a couple of choices I would like to see leading the country right now it would be either Maryland Governor Larry Hogan or New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Both have been showing competent leadership skills and implementing solid plans of action to combat the virus in their states; unlike Trump whose plans such as relaxing restrictions in some parts of the country at the height of a pandemic would only exacerbate the outbreak and lead to even more infections and deaths than would occur otherwise.

Andrew Cuomo? The governor of the state with the largest numbers of people sick and dying in the entire country? If that's the evidence of competent leadership skills (couldn't get people to not congregate), I have to wonder if the whole idea of "anyone but Trump" is based on nothing more than political hatred, even at the expense of thousands of American lives during a global crisis--something that's not being allowed to go to waste.

Whataboutism? The tactic of avoiding a question by posing an unrelated one of your own to divert attention?

Yes, that Governor Cuomo.

Have you ever taken the time to listen to one of his updates on the Coronavirus? He doesn't sugar coat the situation, yet at the same time is reassuring and looks and sounds like a true leader. When you listen to one of Governor Cuomo's press conferences it's clear that he thinks things through before he takes action. More importantly you don't have all of the nonsensical rambling, misinformation, and immature rants you get from Trump press conferences. The difference between the two is like night and day.

All you're saying is that you like the way he looks and talks. What about results? His state has the vast majority of Coronavirus cases. Oh sure, people may like the things he says better, and they may like his style of speaking, but I'll take better results over style any day.
Perhaps it's a type of pity that we want to show victims that draws some people. Since Cuomo is in the middle of a disaster, we are sympathetic towards him and the people there. However, deciding who we want as our president shouldn't rest on who we're feeling sympathetic for in a bad situation regardless of how they're handling it.

Unrelated?

You denigrated Cuomo's competence by the level of illness in his state. It would be consistent to do the same for Trump by the level of illness in his country.

As for question avoidance, what questions did you raise, apart from rhetorical ones?

Andrew Cuomo?

Yes, that is his name.

The governor of the state with the largest numbers of people sick and dying in the entire country?

Yes, that is him.

Yes it does have the most cases; do you know why that is?

Because he is such a great leader and people followed his leadership by staying home when told to?
Because he prepared his state with the equipment needed to handle an emergency in advance?
Because he has done such a great job in acquiring what is needed during this crisis?
None of the above?

Or....
Is this just one more thing that we're supposed to blame Trump for?

Please take an hour of your time and watch the video below of Governor Cuomo's press conference from today. I want you to take a look at the approach Gov Cuomo presents in his press conferences verses that of Trump.

Can you see the obvious difference? Who is the better leader?

It’s to see that at least some Christians know how bad a President Mr Trump is.

Good on you, mate.
Trump actually took proper steps in this crisis. Our problem was in the CDC who manufactured the tests incorrectly. Some people dont want to give the man any credit though, just blame. We shouldnt be blaming anyone without having all the facts.

Mike Pence just said the US is 'most comparable' to Italy now after the White House downplayed the coronavirus threat for weeks

"We think Italy may be the most comparable area to the United States at this point," Pence told CNN on Wednesday.

More than 12,000 people have died from COVID-19 in Italy, where the healthcare system has been massively overwhelmed. For weeks, the president and other top US officials downplayed the threat the virus posed and insisted it had been or would be contained.

The White House announced on Tuesday that it predicts between 100,000 to 240,000 people could die in the US from the coronavirus even with strict social distancing measures in place.
